We are from southern, southern Maryland (anyone ever heard of Point Lookout?). NO airport is convenient, so we'll fly out of my favorite. We leave IAD on 07 AUG on LH, go through FRA, and get to BCN on 08 AUG.

Deb...this is the craziest month ! Right now we have our oldest Grandson visiting us for a week. Next week we're going to Myrtle Beach with 2 sisters and my brother and their families for a week. Then the next week I'm teaching VBS. THEN I'll pack!! However, I've made my clothing list and have even planned what to wear what day..Isn't that sick
!
BTW, we've decided my husband and Grandson won't wear tux's and I'll wear simple black. Think we'll keep this cruise as simple and cool as possible !

Of course I have heard of Point Lookout. I have family down there. I am the blacksheep of the family because I am the only one, including the extended family, that does not live in Charles, Anne Arundale(sp), or St Mary's county.

I am hoping we get our cabin assignments this week coming up. Last time I had a GTY we received the cabin assignment rightat the 30 day mark. the cruise before us started gettng theirs at about the 35 to 40 day mark.
We are planning on visiting both Pompeii and Herculaneum!By the way, is anyone planning a trip to Herculaeneum?
We have put in for a quote from Drive Amalfi. Which Driver/Guide will you have for your tour?We have a Tour of Pompeii & The Amalfi Coast out of Naples on 8/11 booked with DriveAmalfi and they still have Driver/Guides and Vans available if anyone is interested and they can be contacted at info@driveamalfi.com.
Hello Sharon,
It's neither Disney's fish extenders, nor elaborate homemade fish extenders like the ones posted on this site but it will do the job. I found it in a dollar-store in SF Chinatown. It has embroidered images of the Golden Gate Bridge and Cable cars, typical San Fran stuff. I bought some Disney stickers and I thought I could stick them outside the cabin door until I read some posts and learned that Disney strictly prohibited stickers on their cabin doors. I think they allowed magnets only. Bummer! By the way, do we have a designate DISers' secretary in the event some of us could not make the meeting? Who would like to volunteer to keep minutes and diseminate this info to the few stragglers like us. We may need our own DISers' Navigator. We already have Donna as our Capitainne.

I put in a request to have the thread title fixed. Recall I/we had it changed back in April. Ever since then, I felt it hasn't read right. I keep looking at it and I finally figured out why. My bad! I realized that the way I asked the mod to title it has an extra "a" in it. It's supposed to be a play on 'well I'll be a monkey's uncle' with the 'I'll be a' replaced with the port name of Olbia. I had her do 'Olbia a ' which doesn't make sense. Like I said - my bad!
So I have PM'd her to ask to take that extra "a" (and space) out of our title so it reads as cleverly as intended.![]()
