Not to add to the confusion, but do we have a "It's thunderstorming" Contingency Plan for the meet?

Thundersorms! It wouldn't DARE rain on us would it? LOL Actually, good question.

We hope we will be on- board in time FOR the meet. We are a little worried since we r taking disney transport from POFQ and want to check seating ressies and EAT(we will be having an early bfast, and DH LOVES his shrimp!) upon boarding. So I hope the bus gets us there in time. We plan to be quick about everything if we can, but you never know! I would hate to miss meeting our DIS friends and not be able to share our bag with another dis family

For all our fellow disers (and especially for those of you heading out in the next couple days)- safe travels ! I know Star Wars has Nothing to do with the cruise, but DD insisted I use them somewhere ( and who argues with a 22yr old Star Wars fanatic ? May the force be with us all on our journey! LOL)

Well, we leave in 11 hours and I'm, 99 % packed. I even ironed everything!

Unfortunately, that last 1% seems to be the hardest. Safe travels for everyone and good luck packing.

I am soooo excited!!! and sooooo tired at the same time. We leave in about 27 hours. I have stayed up (it's 4:30 am) to get 99% of the packing done for everyone. Yet my checklist seems twice as long. (all the last minute stuff). Why did I make such an early flight?

We have had a small change in plans....we finally got in touch with our friend in Orlando and we will be staying with her in Windermere. Anyone know anything about that area? So sorry to all my new friends who I was hoping to meet at the Radisson on Friday. Who knows, maybe we'll still wind up staying there on Friday night. Wanting to be near the port.

In case I don't get on the computer tomorrow.....everyone have very safe travels and the savagefam is looking forward to meeting everyone. See ya'll on Deck 10.

OK, really quickly before everyone takes off.

Contingency plan - if it's raining (and only if it's raining), meet on Deck 9 right _under_ where you would have met on Deck 10. It'll be covered (by definition) by Deck 10 so we should be able to stay reasonably dry.

But, it won't be thunderstorming...all the static electricity from Barb's bubble wrap, not to mention the brain waves from IceMan's communicator, will keep the storm away.

Everyone travel safe and have fun in the parks. The rest of us will be thinking of you jealou....er, fondly.

I am officially finished with my "summer job". I have a little over a month off before school starts up again. I sure do miss being in the classroom...

BUT 21 hours until we leave for AKL. I am so excited. Being part of this board has definately added to the excitement.

Can't wait to MEET you all on Deck 10 (or 9). See you soon.

OH - one of my summer reading students asked his dad if my "end-of-summer-reading" gift could be sunglasses for my vacation! How cute.

wow i just printed off my boarding pass. this is getting so real now. i leave tomorrow morning bright and early and meet my family at the airport down in orlando (somehow we lucked out and our planes come in at around the same time from different airports).

okay getting a little worried here. they are talking potential tropical depression off coast of carolinas in the nest 12- 24 hrs!! we are supposed to fly out late fri night from hartford area! If we dont get out we will miss the ship!(I.m not too confident in Sw getting us seats out early next am!)
I was nervous about cuttimg it so close to begin with, but husbands job switch made it necessary (we usaully try for two days "lead"Time) Hopefully I'm panicing over nothing!

Good travels to everyone. I just flew from the midwest this morning back to florida. I think its cooler here than it was there.

We dont leave until Saturday morning to drive from one coast over to the other. For those of you enjoying vacation already, enjoy enjoy enjoy.

I really hadn't been paying attention to the weather reports since it's so oppressingly hot here. I hope this storm passes as I am leaving Saturday AM and if I miss my flight I also miss the ship

According to our local weather, the tropical storm is suppose to head out to sea by Thursday afternoon, and miss any land...keep your fingers crossed

Oh Bethipooh4 that would be great wouldn't it? Thanks for the encouraging news! Your home would still be safe and dry with no worries for your DD, and we could still make the cruise we have been planning for two years! They are predicting rain ect around here for sure that day, but delays wont bother me as long as we get there in time for ship ! Lots of pixie dust for us all (including our other fellow disers who are either enroute or soon to be !)
