07/10/2015 Magic - North Europe

Welcome Tammy :) You must of loved the Baltics in 2010 to be repeating it. You will be getting a lot of questions from all of us I'm sure. The first one I have is how did you get to Dover. It seems like it is a bit more difficult than other transfers we have had to do. On both our Med cruises it was an easy ride to the port. In Vancouver our hotel was around the corner from the port. Which British isles cruise are you doing? While waiting for Disney to announce I was thinking that I would like to do that itinerary one day.

Well, I did the reposition cruise from Barcelona to Dover but used silver fleet for the trip back. This year for the British isles I am getting a cruise transfer from international friends that hits some sites and drops off at the airport or hotel, whichever we prefer. I am doing the June 4 the cruise on the ruby princess B2B with a Norway cruise that hits slightly different ports. Only one overlap port.

We have booked this cruise. Myself, my DW, DD (16 at cruise) and DS (12 at cruise) will be going. We are very excited. It's our 3rd Disney cruise. We did the Mediterranean in 2013. We plan to go to Paris prior to the cruise and London afterwards.

Welcome meadbruin! Lots of DD's in the 15-16 y/o age range.

Hi everyone! We are booked too -- 90 minutes on hold on Thursday morning, so I'm only just finding my way to the DIS group. I also sent a request to be added to the FB group (Hannah). We're a family of 4 from California (hence calihannah) -- me, DH, and our daughters who will be 8 and 4.5 at the time of the cruise. It will be our 6th, 7th, or 8th DCL adventure -- we have #5 planned for Alaska this summer and have B2B Caribbean cruises planned for December this year, but DH may veto those due to the $$$ for the Baltic itinerary, which has been my top choice all along -- I've been hoping to see it appear and couldn't contain my excitement when the itineraries were announced :)

We were on the Med 5/28/11, the NYE Mexico 2011, Alaska over 4th of July 2012, and back in the Med this past summer, 7/9 sailing. I think I recognize some names on this board! Our Alaska group for this coming summer is the quietest DIS group I have ever experienced, so I'm glad to see so much enthusiasm for this cruise already :D

We'd love to do the FE -- I'll PM htmlkid to be added.

Hi Hannah! We were on the Med cruise with you last summer. I'm so excited to see an Eastern Med Mouseketeer on this cruise.

For other members of over-planners anonymous who are already thinking about port adventures 15 months out (guilty), I spent this morning digging through old threads until I came across this site. I'm sure there will be some additions/subtractions, and who knows what will happen to the prices, but this will give you an idea of the previous offerings:

Oslo (for those B2B on the Norway cruise): http://www.********************/cruise/ports/oslo_excursions.html
Copenhagen: http://www.********************/cruise/ports/copenhagen_excursions.html

I bought the Rick Steve's guide book for northern European cruises the day I booked so I guess I am in the OPA group :-)

Just ordered the book myself. Our med cruise last summer we did a lot of Disney excursions..this time I think we will try more DIY to help with costs.

I haven't gone back to see if anyone has yet posted the link to the group thread for the 7/18/2010 Baltic. It is here http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1974960 and just a few posts in are a slew of links related to the trip.

I'd love if people who have been on the trip before would post pics from their trips. I'm so excited to see these things.

Oh and does anyone know if they will still stamp your passport at/around Checkpoint Charlie? It's been over 10 yrs since I've been there so I don't know if they still do this.

Thanks!

How many folks folks planning to FE on this cruise are going to FE on the previous cruise as well? (We're like to use the same FE gift for both cruises but will handle B2B folks differently.)

We're looking forward to this! (We had to cancel the first Northern Europe cruise several years ago.)

I FE all our cruises and the gift changes based on the amount of participants, and if the cruise is local or overseas...

Sorry everyone, I was provided with the wrong information on the dates of our cruise. We are not on this cruise after all. I hope you all have a magical time!:banana::banana:

Hello all! Just booked our cruise today and I'm really excited!

It will be myself, my DH, DD (18 at time of cruise), and DD (16 at time of cruise)

Brad and Cindy. Booked last night. We are in our 50's and want to know if there are any others who want to look at booking small private tours in some of the cities especially St. Petersburg. We are in 6588.
