'06 Disney Shareholders Meeting scheduled for Anaheim

The Walt Disney Co. has announced that the 2006 shareholders meeting is scheduled for March 10, 2006 @ the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim.

Looks like Iger may be returning the shareholder meetings to Orlando and Anaheim. For years, Eisner was scheduling shareholder meetings in cities which had little connection to Disney.

thats a no brainer the share holders are likley to vist the parks $$$ oh i forgot i$ner didnt have a brain it seems alot of good is coming of igers reign even abc is #1 in the ratings this week in usa today

Eisner had been the focal point of shareholder wrath for years, particularly the smaller shareholders. While it was a CS move to stay away from Anaheim and Orlando, that's why he did it.

Iger won't have to deal with that nearly as much, at least for now. The stock is still largely stagnant, but that's still viewed as being caused by the past regime. Plus, if he can get a Pixar deal done (in whatever form), he'll have something truly big to promote.
