06/29-07/04 bday @ CSR w/DDP Pre-trip Report

the above question also goes for anyone who wants to see certain pics of csr! I will try to get as many as i can :goodvibes

:worship: Hey KatMark, we were looking at crowd reports and we decided to relax at the resort when we first arrive because AK will be crazy crowded!!!
...We decided to go in the evening, right before our ADR, and then enjoy EMH. We also decided to skip on the idea of trying to see Fantasmic as well.

anywho, here is my question:
I will have lots of time to take pictures and go online when we first get to CSR and I was wondering what pictures are we lacking on Dis for CSR? We want to walk all around (if we can stand the heat) and have lunch at Pepper Market after we check in as well. :cloud9:

I want to see pictures of EVERYTHING! Because I'm convincing DH that we should stay here! But we'll come visit too...so we can see it in person!

Read my pre-trippy!! lol!

Ok, decided to continue with a simple countdown and updates so that the pre-trippy will somewhat mirror the post-trippy....we make a lot of changes...

it's past midnight so.....

5 MORE DAYS!!!

ok, in the last couple days, things have been changed. First, I changed my mind about the luggage issue. We are going to 'attempt' to pack everything into 1 large suitcase and 2 carry-ons. Wish me luck!!! :goodvibes I'm still a lil worried about being laid off and $60 is worth a little inconvenience, IMHO.

ADRs:
We've made final decisions and I am NOT going to change anything else!! (I don't think...:lmao:)
29th Yak & Yeti 6:00 LOVE THIS PLACE
30th Coral Reef 1:25Haven't done in years--but we enjoyed
1st 50's Prime Time 4:25Same as Coral Reef
2nd Le Chefs de France 5:10 (with Remy :))never done
3rd Kona Cafe 5:35never done

My comments in red about the food

Aren't you thoughtful to ask? Well, we could use more pictures of the Pepper Market--we have very few of that. Perhaps a photo of the NEW menu since I understand it has changed; also, could use a few more pictures of the quiet pools and if you feel like strolling to the Ranchos section, we seem to be lacking pictures of the Ranchos section.

Thanks again!

Is it only Wednesday nite!?!? :rotfl2:

why is that time moves super slow when we want time to fly and time flies when we want it to stop? :confused3

I'm sitting here wishing it was time to go to CSR and watching "Hatching Pete" with DD. DH just got home from golfing. The rest of this week should move a little faster with getting the house "vacation" cleaned, getting further ahead in my schoolwork so I won't have as much to do while in wdw, going to dr's appts, getting the car looked at (the backup assist quit on me ), going swimming, and of course, keeping my PTR updated :goodvibes

It will be here before you know it. My oldest DS is leaving a week from tomorrow for Disney. He too is counting the days!

we will be there at the same time?? WOW! is he staying at CSR? It'll be interesting to see our different opinions about crowds, weather, etc. After talking to JWSteelman and his DW till 3am last weekend, we decided that if a park is too crowded when we get there, we will go to another park. We've never really done that before (walk in, look around, and walk out) but they said that they did it on their last trip and that some parks were packed while others were dead. I've been reading a lot of conflicting reports from diff people who were there during the same time period and this seems to be what's going on...everyone's park planning the same way!! :rotfl:

Andy arrives on July 2 and departs on July 9. No, unfortunately he is NOT staying at the CSR. He is taking his baseball team down to play in the baseball tournament going on. The resorts offered in the package were the All-Star Sports and the Caribbean. He let his girlfriend choose since she has to put up with baseball before park time, etc., and she chose the CBR for the "beachy" feel. He's not too keen on the theme of the rooms, but I told him not to worry about that...they won't be in the room much anyway. Since they are both going back to school in September (Andy & Nicole), and probably won't start working as teachers until a year from September (assuming they can get jobs), they may go with us next year when we do a split stay at the AKL/CSR. Andy really loves the CSR and is very disappointed he is not staying there. He's been during this time period before when he played in the baseball tournament. It really wasn't all that bad...the worse day was 4th of July.

Sure I can do that! NP
1. I've found CSR to be the most peaceful resort I've stayed in so far. It's very relaxing and quiet.
2. IMO is beautifully themed. From the fountains to the landscaping.
3. Cleanest rooms and The Pepper Market has the best variety of food.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

I'm sure he'll have a good time at CBR!!! I was in the world last year for the 4th (weekend getaway with DH) and we went to AK. The park was DEAD! I figured that the people without hoppers would pick a park with the fireworks and I was right. We had a 4pm ADR at Yak & Yeti. We went straight to AK after our plane landed and we were there by 11:30am. We had done everything in AK that we wanted to do by 2:30 and wanted to eat early. We knew yak & yeti would be completely booked but we went to ask anyway. The whole time we ate, the restaurant was empty!! All the while, our server was updating us on the crowds in MK. He told us that MK was at level ?? shutdown ??? I dunno...point is, it was crowded!! So, tell DS to go to AK for the 4th and make his way to another park for the fireworks later :thumbsup2

We are leaving first thing in the morn on the 4th...but we come back on the 18th for our originally scheduled Disney Trip!! :woohoo:

I hear a lot about how beautiful it is and I hear mixed reviews about pepper market. Some say how much of a waste it is (non DDP ppl) and others think it's a great CS option! I can't wait to try it and see for myself so I can pass along my opinion :lmao:

YAY!!! it's almost midnight...5 sleeps...4 days....3 dogs to pack up and ship to mom's....2 more suitcases to pack.... AND 1 plane ride away!! woo-hooo!

3 MORE DAYS!!!!!

DH took tomorrow off from work! Technically we are both officially on vacation now!!! :woohoo: Margarita anyone? party:

still 3 more days...only cause it's still morning ;)

OK, I read a post from someone recently apologizing for their pics being so big. I'm not going to apologize cause I like big pics and I have no clue how to resize them!! :lmao:

We went to our friend's house (JWSteelman and his DW) yesterday evening for a bbq and to go swimming. The weather didn't cooperate, though we did get a good whirlpool going before the storm and I got to see Joe's DS do an awesome cannonball!! :thumbsup2

We didn't drink any margaritas, cause Joe had to work the next day, but we did have a lot of fun!!

Here's grumpy himself!! Notice the shirt :rotfl:

I will have to agree on the large pictures! I enjoy them much more than ones I need a magnifying glass to see! Looks like you guys had a fun night...and AWESOME cake!!!

Holy Cow!! IN 48 hours we'll be in Orlando!! :thumbsup2

Today I have to finish getting things washed and start packing my stuff and DH's stuff. I am also going to Home Depot for those lime green paint cards! I hope to run into one of my fellow DiSers in wdw!!
