06/08/08 Magic And Mickey To Mexico!!!

Don't think so - I'm just trying to figure out if we've scared the other cruisers off...

I swear the time between Easter and the end of school is worse than the Christmas season...I'm going insane!!!

When can we book DL? I keep plugging in our dates - but, no luck yet...

I hope we didn't scare them off!! :scared1: Actually, I don't think the 6/8 cruise is very popular yet. We have a CAT 7 and when I go to the DCL site, the price hasn't gone up yet - plus there are plenty of Cat 7's available.

I'm not sure when we'll be able to book DLR - probably not until August; but I'll be ready then!!! Then it'll feel REAL, won't it?!! :yay:

I know what you mean about this time of year being busy. I always forget that and wonder why, by Memorial Day, I'm exhausted!!! :rotfl: Tori's graduating from Middle School 5/23 and I'm trying to prepare myself for that! It's what I call "the ugly cry day"!!! (with the girls anyway - it doesn't seem to phase the boys!!) The girls will all be hugging each other and boo-hoo'ing all day.

Finally home and have some time to myself...sort of. Leaving for Turks and Caicos in three weeks....and I am soooo glad I don't have to pack much for that! Swim suits, shorts and t-shirts. Yea!!

I have my calendar marked at the one year mark for booking a DLand resort. I'm thinking the bookings are made a year in advance, but I could be wrong.

I also think this cruise is going to be just like the one we took last time DCL did the Mexican Riviera. It was at about the same time...the first of June.
We just didn't have a large DIS group cruising, but the ship was full. It seemed to be mostly west coasters.

OH, I'm so jealous! We'll expect to hear all about it and see lots of pictures when you get back, OK?

We'll be at WDW in less than 3 weeks! Tori must be excited - she's keeping the "(XX) days till Disney" count on her dresser mirror (w/dry erase markers)!

I'm waiting until July or August to make the DLR reservations. When you do get booked, Stacey, let us know!

In case we all get busy and don't check here again for awhile...... Have a GREAT trip!!! :cloud9:

I'm mostly excited, but a little nervous. Not looking forward to the 4.5 hour flight to Charlotte...and am always a little discombobulated in a new place the first night or two....and I have to learn to drive on the LEFT! Now THAT'S a picture I bet you'd love to see!!

I'll have to see if I can post a picture of what our condo/house looks like.

Nope, darn it. I've been having trouble posting pics lately.

sigh,

WDW, Turks, etc... I certainly won't be talking to myself when y'all gone. I just have a July "obligation" vacation up to Chicago to visit the parents. OK - it's a bonus, I'm dropping the kids off for two weeks of "Camp Grandma Grandpa" - one week at each (they live in the same town) to keep the peace and then John will fly up for 4 days to visit his family and bring them home.

Other than that, the only Disney related vacations on the horizon are 2008 DL and my parents anniversary DCL trip in 2009. (And our 20th but, since mom and dad are paying honoring their 45th in June- I'm not volunteering to cut in on their celebration...) Unfortunately, late June because of the Illinois school calendar, so we might just miss a double scoop reunion 2nd try if Disney doesn't mess with the itineraries. So, I'm busy torturing myself with the official DL podcast and a few fan park podcasts until then.

We were on PAGE FOUR! We'll never attract more cruisers this way!

Did you guys see that Disneyland is no longer going to have the balcony seating for Fantasmic??  Don't ask me why, because I don't know.

I haven't been paying attention to Disneyland yet (check my timer! :woohoo:), but that's so disappointing to hear. :sad1: Will they have any kind of "preferred seating"? :confused3

Stacey, are you packed yet?!! You're almost to single digits!!!! We leave in 5 days so I need to get started! We'll be in WDW for 11 days! :yay:

I checked the pricing for our cruise yesterday and the cost hasn't increased yet, so I guess 6/8/08 isn't a hot seller (yet!).

Atlanta's smoky again this morning from those huge Georgia/Florida wildfires - I'm staying indoors today. :headache:

Just a half day of school tomorrow and then school's out. :sad2: truthfully, I'm looking forward to this summer. I cut my hours back so, I will only work one place - 2 days a week - right now, 4 hours total not including my client who comes to my house. Since it's personal training, the hours may vary slightly depending on demand. Lots of pool time and beach time with the kids :woohoo:

On a lark, I decided to try to schedule a DL reservation for May 20, 2008 - it said if I required reservations past Jan 1, 2008 to call. sigh...

Bummer, about the balcony...I wonder if we could schedule a magical gathering or something...

ok - if we can't get the balcony for my birthday, I want to do this:

Make birthdays more memorable than ever at the Disneyland® Resort, where you can select from many delightful party possibilities:

* "My Disneyland Birthday Party" at the Plaza Inn, Featuring a Guest Appearance by Mickey and Minnie - Spend your birthday with laughter and music, fun-filled cake decorating, plus a special guest appearance by Mickey and Minnie Mouse

Do you think we could get a group discount if we include John and Jay??? :rotfl2: - We'd probably have to bring our drivers licenses to prove we're all on the 16th and the 17th...

That would be FUN!!! :thumbsup2 Group discount or not, I say "Let's do it!!!" :yay:

party:

GREAT idea Monica!! We'll all have DL's and passports, so no problem proving it!
I was going to search around and see what I could come up with for a group. I was hoping that they'd have some other kind of special seating for Fantasmic and still do the buffet...but you know, somehow, if it isn't on WALT'S balcony, it just doesn't sound as special. I'll see what else there is out there.

Hpefully, there's some type of preferred seating for Fantasmic - I still would like to do that...It would be worth every extra penny.

Rescuing us from Page 4 !!!!

Here's a happy thought: In exactly ONE YEAR FROM TODAY we will be boarding The Magic!!!! :yay: :woohoo: :jumping1: :sail:

Stacey, How is Paradise?! I'm sure you're having a wonderfully relaxing vacation.

We just returned from 11 days @ WDW. Came home exhausted, which means we had a GREAT time!!

:cool1:

Awsome!

We can not wait - we are going on the Southwest Splendor Adventures by Disney this August and the kids only want to talk about the cruise!!!!!!!
