Hello again everyone.

I just wanted to tell everyone that we just got back from Skye's birthday party and it was a huge success.

For those that did not know, Skye, who will turn 12 on the Saturday before the cruise, did not know about the crusie until today. My wife and I have managed to keep it a secret until today. We have been planning for this trip for almost 2 years, all of it in secret until today.

We told her with a book that was filled with poems and maps and I aged the book to mke it look like and old tresure map.

She was completely shocked and supprised by the present. She is very excited about going.

For the last 3 years I have been making Skye's birtday cakes. If you know the show Ace of Cakes you have an idea of my approach to cake decorating. This year Skye asked for a skull cake. She wanted a pirate birthday party (talk about convinient). Since we are going on a Disney cruise I did a little internet searching and came of with this.

I do not have 10 posts so I can not post photos so here is a link to my community photo gallery.

Oh gosh soooooo glad I am not alone. We leave in 4 days for Disneyland as well, and all my kids are packed, but honest to goodness I have not even opened one single suit case for DH and I. But I have ticked off at least 85% of my list.

got a 2 GB SD card for $9.99!!

That is AWESOME. I just had to get two 2 GB SD cards for DD and my self and one 1 GB SD for my other DD... I paid $29.00 for EACH 2 GB and $14.99 for the 1 GB...

I am sooo excited and nervous for next Sunday, and am sad for the ones that have already had to put out their luggage tonight, and happy for those who are bitting at the bit for tomorrow afternoon to come. Can you all believe it has been one year since this whole vacation idea came about? Gosh it flew by I just pray the vacation dosen't fly by as fast. Well, have a nice night all. Time HAS flown by. I can not belive it. I keep telling my husband, "Next week we will be at the DoubleTree, a week and a day from now we will be on the magic.. ect... I can not wait. We tell the kids on the 4th of June their last day of school, and I am so excited to see their faces...

Guys what are we going to do after the cruise? Checking and chatting on these boards has become a wonderful routine.

Oh my gosh, I haven't checked in for a while and am so behind! I've been staying off so I get my to-do list done, but am not getting it all done!

I told my DH he was going to have his very own tag and you should have seen the look of horror...I mean excitement on his face! This is so much fun.

Your DH can stand by my DH. He's so NOT into all this. I just told him about the meet and I got a big eye roll. I'll see if I can get him to come, ha! You know, they say opposites attract! I made BIG progress this trip. DH agreed to wear Mickey ties for evening. I can't believe it!

We are planning on being there by 10:00 a.m. My DH likes to get the most out of the ship and wants to be on board as early as possible. So we plan to leave the Crown Plaza at around 9:45 a.m. I think I read somewhere that you can get there that early. I figure the worst they can do is make us wait in the parking lot. It will be like that old Mervynn's commercial "OPEN, OPEN, OPEN!"

Hey we're staying at CP, too! Maybe we'll see ya there! We check in on Friday. We're going to legoland Sat. but will back in evening. Our plan is to drop off car rental at 9:30 and leave for ship after that. I fugure it'll take more time than we think to drop off car and catch shuttle and everything. We'll see if I can get everyone going (and be ready myself) on time!

The DIS friends we met on the Med cruise enjoyed my red wine... My wife likes sweet whites - and I like big bold reds.....LOL

When it comes time to plan a vacation, he'll say he's tired of WDW and then I just tell him that's o.k., I'll take the kids by myself and then he comes, ha! I didn't have to ask twice about the cruise though. He didn't care which line we went on, he just wanted to cruise again. So, of course, I'm the one who books it, so we went with DCL.

By the way, I actually prefer the sweet whites but like reds too! I'm so not a wine connoisseur!

What rental car company are you using? We were going to use enterprise, but I got a better deal at Avis. I was thinking my husband would drop me and the kids and then return the rental car and take a taxi back. I am just unsure if we are doing this right?????

I did the on-line check in, printed everything and organized our passports and birth certificates. Organized my meds and packed the pill box thingy for 8 days. DH now wants to leave Friday night instead of Saturday morning. I'll call the Holiday Inn tomorrow, and see if they can take us for the additional night. I need to ask my boss if she'll let me leave at noon Friday. Getting closer!!

Well, we also have twins, but they are boys who are only 7, but we do have an 11 year old daughgter and we are bringing her bff and our other daughter is 9 so they should all get alone, and hopefully want to hang out. I am never going to get everything done on time and I am starting to freak out about it. The kids are super swamped this week (last week of school) and my "To-Do" list didn't shrink much over the weekend.

Who else is staying at the DoubleTree the night before?
