I can't focus at work AT ALL today. Everyone has been grumpy today so my "give a flip" meter is pretty low right now. I am also really really sucking at making these door magnets... its making me

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one. It's our busiest time at work and everyone is crabby and whining. I stayed tonight and worked 4 hours extra (not paid) trying to get caught up on my paperwork for meetings tomorrow. I just got home in time for my husband to leave for a meeting so I'm on my own tonight with the kids. My Mom is coming up tomorrow after work for my son's concert and the house is a mess and dustier than all get out. I don't care, it's going to stay that way. DH says, "What are we having for supper tomorrow night?" I said, "I don't know yet." (My mom will be here for supper). To avoid everything and retreat into my own world, I hopped online with a glass of wine while the kids are showering (pretty sad when you put wine in your coffee cup to hide it ) and then will get them into bed and fall into bed myself. Then it starts all over again tomorrow! I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO need a vacation! I sure my documents come soon!

I think my TA instructed DCL to send the docs to me, so that they didn't come to her first and then she in turn had to send them to me.....

No rules really. I'm doing mostly one per stateroom....I think I have one gift that I'll have some extras that can be for the kids in the rooms...but otherwise it would really be too much to take along.

Most of them are really just small little trinkets in the $1-$2 range...or less. I went with themes like Mexican, tropical, pirate.....
We definitely don't need to break the bank....it's really just fun to find something in your Fish Extender every day or two. And we weren't going to try to do them for the 1st day onboard of course, nor for the last morning off the ship because we'll already be all packed up.
So it ends up being 5 gifts. Oops, I guess it still would be 7.
Maybe we should say just do them Monday-Friday?


This is what I'd posted earlier, and we all agreed to do them just the five days. One per stateroom on the highlighted red list.....unless you have gifts for the kids in the rooms.

I am so sorry, Phyllis. Unbelievably sad, that is.
Guest Services will know much better than I do what they could possibly do to help make the children's time wonderful. I hope you can convince your friend to come along with you.

Thanks Stace. They're actually in Phoenix. I don't know how close you are to Phoenix, but it was all over the news. It happened on May 4 at 3am in Chandler.

Sadly it happens so often that I don't know if I had heard about this or not. Perhaps just as well that I don't remember, it would hurt even more if I felt a "connection". My heart always aches when I hear about these things happening.


We're basically just a suburb of Phoenix, just like Chandler is. Chandler is east and we are north.

OMG, I missed this post earlier. Makes my day seem a lot better and me so much more ridiculous I am very sorry to hear of this loss. I just can't imagine the pain they are feeeling.

If they decide to come along, I am sure Disney will do something to make it special for the kids. If not, WE sure can
