Hi everyone! Checking back in after a 3 month DIS break Can't believe it's time to start getting things planned! Just wanted to say HI and get back in the groove!!

We just got back from getting our Christmas tree , DH and all the kids are outside putting up all the lawn decorations as we speak. I just LOVE this time of the year. I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Hope to hear from some of us more often. Have a nice afternoon and an even better week.

Can't believe Thanksgiving is next week. I still have no idea what we're going to do. Eat turkey, I guess. But it won't be one of my more stellar meals!

Yep...I'm still here and still alive.....

I'll be able to do more posting after the first of the year. Right now I'm still just trying to get healed up (yes, still!) and get things ready for Christmas and the cruise, and the end of the year office stuff. It's crazy!

And yes, that up there is the bride to be herself, my daughter Megan.

I tried. Can't find anything about the excursions they offer for this cruise on their website.

You don't let that stop you. Just because DCL doesn't have the excursions listed yet.....go onward....research using other cruise lines...Cruise Critic....web search......

I was MIA again....sorry. Just way too much going on lately.
We canceled our upcoming NCL cruise....would have been leaving this Thursday, but my husband had an accident at work, had surgery, and it's just best that he not travel now.
So once the holidays have passed, I'm going into full-force planning mode for this cruise!

Dave took me to Cheesecake Factory for dinner, it was awesome! I had a pomegranate margarita, and strawberry cheesecake for dessert
Then we saw I am Legend. Well... he saw it. I had my eyes covered most of the time.

I haven't been around lately, with the holidays, and all four kids starting basketball it has been a little rough, but the other day I saw that we have less the 5 months left... I can't believe it.

To be honest I am freaking out a tad...You see DH started his own Computer Consulting business last May, and had gotten a nice State Contract, but it ended the third week of December, and he hasn't gotten another one yet . He has been submitted for a nice long [2 year] one, but we won't find out for another week and a half. So if hubby doesn't get a contract soon we will have to cancel Can't go on a curise, and not pay our house payment... So not trying to offend but if any of you believe in prayer, we could use it right about now.

In the mean time I am just going on and trying to figure out where we will be staying before hand for our three days at Disneyland. We originally had thought about staying on site, but a few weeks ago we found out that our 11 year old daughters old best friend will be allowed to go with us so to save $$ we will staying off site. I posted on the DCL and the DL boards about the Portifino Inn but so far no one has gotten back to me.

Well I hope everyone has a great week Can't wait to hear back from some of you, I miss not having a ton of post everyday.

My family and I will be joining all you lovely folks on this cruise. It will be my husband 40, daughter 5 and myself 39. We booked a category 6 and can't wait to go! I have had a countdown timer on my desktop at work since February. Most people think I'm nuts to have been so excited about a trip that was nearly a year and a half off, but, that's ok. It's true.

I am looking forward to chatting with you over the next few months. Only 140 days to go! Now for all the fun planning!

The last time we stayed off property wasn't a good experience...straight across from the entrance, can't remember the name...but it wasn't Portofino. I've heard good things about the Candy Cane Inn....and also that they will sometimes offer a discount if you call them for a reservation directly and mention that you're cruising Disney after your stay.
