05/09/2009 May 9, 2009 7-Night Eastern St Maarten... Watch Out!

Keep your fingers crossed for the sleep! I think we are going to bring our portable dvd player on the plane for at least a kid or two to enjoy on the flights.

We use a splitter for two sets of head phones and then two kids can watch.

Have a nice trip!

Packed the trusty splitter last night! I am even thinking about going to get another today so all three kids can plug in if they so choose.

Cant wait for Friday!

I have about 3/4 of my packing done. I went bathing suite shopping last night (we wont go there!!!). Have a few little things to still pick up but we should be done by Thursday night LOL.. We did get a good surprise this morning at about 6:30am. I was woke up today by a loud bang on the front door. When I opened it there stood a very chipper Fed Ex Lady who looked at me and said in a very chipper voice " IS someone waiting on a pass port!!??" She then asked where we were going and when we leave and had me sing for it. I think she had about 10 cups of coffee today!! Anyway we have all our passports now!!! I was so worried about this you just have no clue. Work has been super crazy for me this week. I think when they know that you are going on a trip they come up with fifty million projects for you to do to see how stressed they can make you before you leave. My plans tonight are to finish my FE gifts and get them packed, clean the house and up load all the pics on the camera to the computer so I can clear the memory card. I also need to charge the camera and camcorder. get all that stuff packed up. I still have to pack for my son who will be staying with my mom well me are gone. Man I still have a lot to do.

Happy to hear the passport arrived! As for the battery charging I did the same this past weekend. Wife thought I was a dork I am sure as I had a power strip plugged in the wall then had three separate battery chargers plugged into that for the better part of half the day!

Does anyone know what the weather is going to be like on all of the islands. I hear there was going to be rain? If anyone knows of a website that I can go to please let me know.

Thanks

I have question about the time. Once we leave our home and land in Orlando, the time goes back an hour for us. But what about on the ship and in port? Are the Islands any different than Florida? If they are different, when we are docked, do we go by the time on the ship or in the port?

I look at weather.com. You can just type the location at the top and then select the 10-day forcast tab to get a outlook.

I was looking at the 1/17/09 eastern navigator and that mentioned to move clocks ahead 1 hour Sunday night/Monday morning. I cant recall what I read about what time the ship goes by for the All Aboard call at the ports.

I never ordeed a FE for our door so I am going to have a bag with pictures out there. I hope that won't be to lame. We used it las time and it worked out just fine. I really wanted one, but just could not bring myself to pay the 35 dollars to get it. I guess that is cause it is gonna cost me around 153 for her to stay at the TTC best friends kennel where she always goes. Oh and then there is the dreaded parking.. LOL 105 flippin dollars.. Hehehe

:rotfl:I JUST got done cleaning out my DVR before checking email, etc. I have to make sure there is plenty of space for the season finale of Grey's Anatomy, The Amazing Race, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Any Dream Will Do (OK...I know it already aired like 2 years ago in the UK, but I have resisted looking on line to see the winner...so if you are in the UK or just know...please DON'T tell me!! I have never watched so much BBC America...) plus a dozen or so other shows....Brothers and Sisters, Desperate Housewives, The Celebrity Apprentice. sheesh. I need to take a vacation after this vacation just to catch up!

Hahaha..are you sure you have enough space for all that?? Wow..I didn't realize Grey's Anatomy's season finale is gonna be next week!! Gotta make sure I have space as well!!

Ah, My DirecTV HD DVR reciever has LOTS of space!

Got the transfer all set to Port, assuming we don’t cancel the grocery stop. Our driver is supposed to be at the Hyatt MCO by 8:40am to help us pile the luggage and our bodies into the vehicle. We figure with leaving the Hyatt by 9am and doing a water/juice box run near port, we should arrive at the terminal around 10am. That is earlier then I originally planned so I am happy.

I am hoping the rain just decides to pass on by! I cant wait to do the 12 Meter in St Maarten and visit Magens Bay in St Thomas!

I noticed St Thomas had a flash flood watch for today, with chances around there of 4-8" of water.:scared1:
