05/09/2009 May 9, 2009 7-Night Eastern St Maarten... Watch Out!

I missed the post with Rominet's room changes but i have updated them per your list!

Thanks:)

Andre & Ginette are room 7592 and Karen (Grandma) is in room 7586. The room numbers changed a while back. I think I told one list, but not the other!

Sorry for the confusion!

Is it safe to assume that if reservation shows no upgrade at this point that there will be no upgrade?? Just wondering.....

Prabably a safe bet. We didn't get an upgrade either, but that's OK. This will be our 7th DCL cruise and we have never had an upgrade. I'm not upset though, because I guess there really aren't many other places to go up from a Cat 5. All we cared about is that we have a balcony. That was a must for my Grandmother. She loves to sit out on the Verandah.

I agree... we have cat. 6 and although I have never been on a dcl cruise, it looks like it is in a good location (close to elevators and kids club) and a balcony is important to us (with little one who may be taking a nap or getting to be early) DH just asked how much it would be to upgrade to a suite at port -- I think I recall reading somewhere that it runs somewhere around $800 :confused3 That is if they have it available.

Hi Lulu,

Looks like we may be neighbors. We are also on deck 6 near stairway and kids club. I have a 18 mo DGD, and 4 and 8 DGSs. How old is your little one?

Hi Marilyn!
I recall you saying in a past post that you are from Brookfield, CT? We are from Newtown! My little DS will be turning 3 on the cruise and older DS is 7.

Happy Easter everyone!! WOW, 100 pages!!! That's awesome!! :cool1:
27 Days to go :thumbsup2

I know that it is kinda late but I wanted to send out a Big HAPPY EASTER to everyone. I hope that you all had a great day!!! My DH had to work till 5 so I spent mine cleaning and catching up on shows. Then when he got home we went out and eat a Turkey Dinner at a local chain. It was really good... :happytv:

we bought ours off ebay it measures (apx) 8 1/2 in wide and just over 2 1/2 feet long. we have 4 pockets which really you only need 1. the pockets our 8x6 1/2 in.

I didn't know that they did a show about the dry dock. That would be great to watch. In some ways though it will be a bit of a tease. AHHHH these next 4 weeks need to fly by. Does anyone on here know how to speed up time? LOL:lmao:

Is everyone that is going to do the fish exchange buying or making a real FE or are some using decorated bags? I used a bag last time and I am thinking about buying an FE, but I was wondering what the rest of the group is doing!

Hi Eeyore
I made ours from an old sheet (never been used) lol
It has a pirate border on it & the rest of it is white & has waves on it.
I'm not a good sewer but they will do the trick. Cost me all of $3.00. $1.50 for the cord & $1.50 for the dowling & that was for 3 FE. lol Took no time to make. 2 have 3 pockets on them & the other has 2. They all have diff. deco's on them . The grkids were too excited.

No problem at all. Your PM to me had Andrew & Ginette in 6040 and Karen in 6028. I'll change it back in a few minutes.

I hope everyone had a great Easter!

Congratulations to everyone who was visited by the upgrade fairy! Keep those posts coming. I'm making note of all the changes and will update the site Monday night.

Steve, thanks again for all the hard work! Just wanted to let you know I will email a family pic to you this AM.

Lulu0506,

Yes we are from Brookfield, freezing this morning wasn't it?? Hope we meet up on the Magic!

Hi All -
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. I actually cooked yesterday. I am on Spring Break this week - Yippee. Today in Charlotte it is cloudy and a little chilly. We have not really had any spring yet. I am doing laundry and all the fun things I don't get to do cause I am at work. (You know cleaning the fridge, etc.) I plan to work on my FE gifts today. I am doing one per family and 1 little treat per child.

Next week I leave on Wednesday to take nineteen 16 and 17 year old Juniors to Charleston, SC for their Jr. Trip. We take a tour of The Citadel (it is really fascinating) and also The College of Charleston. Then we do the historic stuff and beach stuff and lots of walking, etc... Of course, there is a lot of food involved, a lot of talking, and not much sleeping. I do have other chaperones with me of course, but I am in charge and well, AAAAHHHHH!:scared1:

As far as the actual FE, I am going to a Disney Outlet store tomorrow and hope to find a bag of some sort. I have neither the time or talent to make a FE.

Oh, and by the way, I folded my first item to go in a suitcase for the trip. :yay:

My FE is also one family item and one item per child - unfortunately with only one full time salary right now...and living in a state where sending your child to public school is tantamount to abuse...we just can't do a lot beyond that.
However, I truly hope you all enjoy the family 'thought.'
Oh, and btw, I forgot to wish everyone a Happy Easter!!!

Husband just IM'd me, because we got an unexpected FedEx delivery.

CRUISE DOCS ARRIVED! :cool1:

I wasn't expecting these yet. How exciting.

You live in NC.... I miss NC soooo much. I am originally from Greensboro born and raised. Now I live in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. I miss seasons and trees and well the people. I would love to come back to NC one day. THe one good thing about being where I am though is that I am 2 hours and 15 minutes from Disney and I am 2 hours from the port. So I guess things here aren't all bad.

I want mine, too. I got a DCL dvd and booklet in the mail today from our travel agent due to booking a three night in December for my DH and two DD, 26 and 30. (Princesses never grow up!)

I went online and did the check in yesterday. This is all getting very exciting.

We love NC. We lived in West Palm Beach for about 3 1/2 years back in the late 70's. Our oldest DD was born there. We moved from there to Chicago, talk about temperature shock. Then here to Charlotte.

I like that we are close enough for a day's drive to the port (a long day though). It would be nice to be closer. It is hard if we just want to do a short cruise.
