05/09/2009 May 9, 2009 7-Night Eastern St Maarten... Watch Out!

Scott,

Check is in the mail with sufficient balance to cover shipping. great job coordinating the braclett purchase/design. 1000 posts with a little under 2 months to sail. I am so looking forward to a week of rest and relaxation on the Magic. :cool1:

Mark

WOW.... we sure must be a talkative bunch!

I was looking at a cool website someone posted that shows how many ships will be in a port on a given day. It looks like there will be one other ship docked with the Magic on our St Maarten and St Thomas days. Not sure if that means that will be all the ships there, or if there will be more but using a tender?
In any case, I am keeping fingers crossed Magens Bay isnt overcrowded!:wizard:

Would u please post the site....

OK here is the FE list for our trip. Please let me know if any info needs to be updated as we get closer to D-Day (room #'s).

Kristen,

You are awesome!!! :worship: If I counted right, we have 27 rooms and 36 kids. Did I get that right?

Jenn

Here is what I am getting:

--36 kids official
--5 of those kids in the 10-14 age range
--Likely 39 kids total because based on Sagbrook’s info it appears they have 3 children traveling with them and wanted to join in the FE Exchange. I at least think I recall reading they wanted to join?

-27 rooms, with one or two of those maybe up in the air.
-Not sure if akl432 was wanting to join the FE Exchange or not? I know they asked what the FE exchange was but I don’t recall seeing mention of wanting to join in... maybe I missed it or Kristen got a message?

I guess I should consider getting to work on a pocket size list of what room numbers my family needs to hit and what gifts will be going to each!

Kristen, please correct us if needed! :)

Just got back from a run to the local Dollar Tree store and picked up two door shoe organizers with a hook at the top to hang in the rooms for various bathroom, etc. items. I also picked up a mesh laundry bag. Of course the quality isnt great on either item but for a buck each they will do just fine :thumbsup2

That's something I should do too...is there not much bathroom counter space?

Well, there’s some space. :)
We have made due with the space on past cruises. The door organizer just gives us one more place to stick some small stuff if need be- but is not a requirement by any means. There is some counter space in both bathrooms. In the past, we have also utilized the space on the desk area in the room ( I think it was a desk?).

Here are pictures from a cat 5/6 room I found on the site to give you an idea on available space:

Wow.

I take a trip out to Disneyland and you guys have been talking up a storm...over 1000 posts now!

The bracelets look great!

It looks like we will be spending an extra two nights at Port Orleans Riverside after the cruise now. I was able to get it Interline for 3 adults at around $130 a night, all in. Plus included a free round of mini golf or admission to DWWS for everyone. Now I still have to figure out where we are staying Friday night...

What's Interline, if I may ask??

The nice thing about getting items like this cheap is that you can throw it away so that you don't have to worry about packing it up. Then you are not out but a few dollars. Great idea, Scottie.

Stopped by Michael (Craft store) on the way home again to pick up more stuff for my FE gifts. Good thing they have coupons. :yay:

I just found this roll call for the upcoming Magic Eastern cruise on 5/9/09. Just wanted to introduce us:

My husband, Tim, and I will be taking our first Disney cruise on the Magic on May 9th. We've been on Princess a several times, as well as RCI and Celebrity, so we've cruised before, just not with Disney.

I was in a serious motorcycle accident on August 31st, and I'm still recovering (still not working). We had to cancel our scheduled Disney trip in January 09, because of my recovery. Because we had to cancel, we ended up with a ton of DVC points to use up before August, so decided to try a Disney cruise!

It's just the two of us (Tim is 54, I'm 43) - we don't have any kids, so plan to stick to the adults only sections of the ship as much as we can. We're currently booked for late seating, waitlisted for early, though I may just take the late seating, hoping to avoid smaller children in the dining room.

We're spending the night before at Beach Club Villas - looking forward to using the great pool there on Friday afternoon, and eating at Beaches and Cream, one of our favorite Disney restaurants. I'm now trying to decide between using DCL transportation to the ship, renting a car, or just booking our own town car to get there earlier. Leaning towards the town car, to tell you the truth, want to start our cruise as soon/early as possible!

Can someone tell me hjow I can get a couple of the bracelets for this cruise? Happy to pay via PayPal or however else, but didn't find info on how to order these bracelets in teh thread (though I did not read every page, this thread is over 68 pages long!).

Oh, we're in room 6582.

Thanks, and looking forward to seeing everyone!!
