05/09/2009 May 9, 2009 7-Night Eastern St Maarten... Watch Out!

Ours docs came too... happy dance!
:dance3::banana::dance3:
Found it kind of odd that a page was included and completed already for onboard airline check in- when we didnt purchase transfers, are not using one of their approved carriers and leave a couple days after the cruise is over! Guess it is just one of those automated things DCL does!

I agree with you I thought something was wrong because mine were also filled out!:confused3

I guess I should have hid the cruise doc packs... DW was just looking through them and noticed that we have 10 luggage tags between all of us. She reminded me that means she can pack 10 suitcases worth of stuff, YIKES!:scared1:

I quickly reminded her we need to tip for each bag at the hotels and port and there are only so many our driver can fit into his trunk... hope I was able to convince her to slim down the packing a bit!:confused3:scared:

I'm with your DW I said to my DH " Look Honey We can bring two bags each isn't that great?" He just looked at me and shook his head!:lmao:

Hope there are some children left for me to see and play with though..or I may have to beg borrow or kidnap a few:rotfl2:

Oh yeah, this one will generate comments for days. We have early dining but can drop off any number of heathens (4 total), I mean children, that you like.

I have no kids as I am a big enough kid myself.... LOL.. I am happy for all of you guys though. This will give all you late diners a welcome break at the end of the day...

From my view this sounds great! I love to see the littlies having fun throughout the cruise, and dinner is no exception. But equally...........be nice to linger over latter part of dinner and see the adults having fun :rotfl2:

I'll share my kids with ya, and I'm sure my SIL wouldn't mind sharing her (almost) 2 year old :thumbsup2. just let us know where and when

As to the computer thing... We also bring a laptop to upload photos and such. The cost to use the internet is kinda expense and really slow but it's good to know it's there if and when needed:thumbsup2

Steve- I run almost everyday but I'm still not a great runner. I too will probably only do one full marathon (just to say I did it)

Scott- my kids are night owls at home but it's almost impossible for me to get my kids to bed on the ship. I have to force then, reminding them we have to get up early the next day. usually for port and if not I don't want them sleeping all day.

No kidnaping needed you can pick my 2 dd's up on Sat. at 12noon and we will see you when the trip is over!!!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Doh, you beat me to it! Maybe I'll see if Disney can put my DD to work all week doing meet and greets as Grumpy.

Four words - Rum in the Sippy.
That's all I'm sayin'. pirate:

Still no cruise docs here in Cali. Now I'm starting to look at my neighbors suspiciously. Let's hope they come tomorrow!

We may bring a small notebook but it would just be to clear the camera memory and maybe do a little trip report writing.

Great to know there will be plenty of little pirates and princesses for me to see, :wizard:
If we get bored (:rotfl2:as if) then I'm your babysitter:rotfl:
Just remember I can't eat a whole one

Sounds like nearly all of us have cruise docs now

And its getting nearer by the day!

:goodvibes with the packing topic! We're lucky with a generous luggage allowance on Virgin, but DH tells me that doesnt mean I have to use every last gram of it! (just watch me!)

Cruise documents arrived. Now the wait begins. Looking forward to the sail away party on deck 9/10.:woohoo:

We too are looking forward to another Sail Away Party... it feels like our vacation on the seas is officially starting then! We like to grab a space on deck 10 and watch everyone down on deck 9. The girls head down there for a bit and join in the dancing then work their way back up to us, usually.

We too were considering brining a laptop but have opted to just bring a portable dvd player for the airports/plane instead. I also have a couple of memory cards to fill for the camera so I *should not* run out of space and if need I will just have a dvd of the card burned at Shutters.

We to will be bringing HP!!!! I will use it to hold all of my pics and movies because both my camera and camcorder use memory cards.

We just bought a laptop, so we are planning on bringing it. Not sure if we will be accessing the internet on the ship. We will be using it for dvd's and photo downloads.

This time in 3 weeks we will boarding our plane for our trip to Orlando, arriving at 1:10pm. The kids are getting more and more excited with each passing day.

Started officially packing. This is going to be a long process with 3 kids who need to try on their summer clothes.

Exactly 3 weeks from this very moment I should be boarding the plane at DFW. I am just hoping I will clear in First Class now...I would like to start off my vacation right!

Same thing on our end... looooong process of trying on last years summer clothes to see what still fits the kids this weekend!

Well if you are flying first class, maybe I will divert to DFW to start off the trip and join you, please!?! :)

Finished up my planned expense spreadsheet this morning so I think I am all set with knowing what I need to bring for cash or plan to spend on our debit card. I guess I will hit up the bank next week and get the single bills I will need for tips at various times during vacation and the taxi to Magens Bay.
