05/09/2009 May 9, 2009 7-Night Eastern St Maarten... Watch Out!

Ok so I am a repeat cruiser and my letter does say "02-08" and that is next Sunday. So am I correct that I will be able to stay up Saturday night and at midnight I can make Palo reservations? (which would be early Sunday Morning)
Am I thinking correct??:confused3

We are planning on getting to terminal between 10-10:30 as well.

I'm a little concerned about the booking. My letter said the 75-day date on it too. I called DCL directly and they confirmed they show me as a CC member. I think I'll call back to confirm they have me flagged as a repeat cruiser. Thanks for the tip!

I'm happy I'm on the west coast. My midnight is only 9pm!

I decided to double check with DCL today to make sure our reservations were in order. Here is the reply I got from them:

I am happy to assist you with information regarding pre-reserving shore excursions.

Shore excursions as well as dining arrangements at Palo, treatments at Vista Spa and Salon, and registration for Youth Activities can be pre-reserved on www.disneycruise.com under My Cruise Plans. These services can be arranged once your reservation is paid in full and within the following time line:

90 days prior to sailing for Castaway Club Members which is February 8, 2009.

The pre-reserve services are available beginning at 12:01 AM (Eastern Time Zone) on the date the services open, based on system availability.

Your reservations have been linked together in our reservation system.
I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further assistance in planning your visit, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sailing with you!

Have a Magical Day!

When I logged into my reservation online, I did see a 5/8 date posted for doing online checkin, so hopefully I am all set... you may want to check that section out online to see what date it has for you.

I logged on and didn't see a date. On the Online Check-in page, it just says 75 days or 90 for CC members but no date. I checked the other pages and didn't see a date either.

I paid in full at the time I booked (through Vacations To Go) and on Disney's site, it shows my status as being "Booked". Is that what your status is? I wonder if Disney shows I'm paid in full yet?!?

I called again this morning and Disney assured me they show I'm a repeat cruiser and so I should be able to book on the 8th. It worries me a little that my letter says I'm 75 days and nothing on the website shows my booking date. Worst case I can just call back the morning after if I have any problems and just take what I can get.

The only part of the site I actually saw the 8th listed was on the page where you complete the payment authorization etc. The date was kind of faded out like the links, since they are not active yet.

Yep, each time we use an agent it shows a Booked status, even after paying in full. If you shoot DCL an email from their site asking just to confirm you are paid in full I think they will confirm that for you, even if you have an agent. They usually reply within a day or so.

Next question as I try to sort out what day to book Palo. If assigned the LAP dining rotation this would put you in Animators on formal night and your first time in Animators. The show normally runs the first time you visit Animators plus I think a special Animators menu. Now I do not have a PHD in dining rotation and special theme nights so I need help with this one :rotfl2:

If it is formal night and first night at Animators do they run the show or do they save it for the second time in the dining rotation? :confused3

I just read a trip report that someone just posted on their 7 day eastern and it appears that they do not run the show if you are in Animators on Formal night, they wait until your second visit. This helps me a lot. They have 2 younger / ish kids and they were LAP. I think the trip report was named Our first 7 night, its really good, check it out.

I just read that very same trip report and had the same question... looks like they did not have the AP show on formal night (second night). If that is the case, I am going to try to book Palo for the 2nd night. I just booked the REAS package so hopefully I will be able to book sometime this week -- I am a first time cruiser so otherwise I wouldb't be able to make ressies until 75 days out. SHhhhhh.... don't tell my DH.... he wouldn't understand the reason for the additional $359 :lmao:

You should be able to book online now then with REAS, right? I was thinking that qualified for the 105 day booking window?

Hmmm... wonder if we will be looking at the LAP rotation too? We are set to go to Palo the second night after the Golden Mickeys show so we would miss Animators that night if we were on that rotation. I do enjoy the show a bit in there so it would be nice to see it when we are in there on non-formal night.

Scottie is right, you should be able to book things now. We did this on our first cruise and were able to book at 105 days. It is expensive but you get some pretty cool perks and presents in addition to the 105 days.

I'm so glad to see that there's several 5-7 yr olds in the group:) my youngest is a little shy at first, so its hard to get him to go to his group. Do you all meet /get together so the kids can all meet? (and us too)

I don’t think an official meet has been scheduled yet, but it does appear many of us will be arriving at the cruise terminal around the same time. I am sure my kids (followed closely behind by myself) will be making their way around the terminal and will likely bump into more then one of their fellow little-sailors that day:moped:

Looks like there is also family time in the club the first evening so I am guessing my youngest will warm up to the club crew and the surroundings that first evening while we are hanging out with him a bit.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have only received a response from 5 family's and mine would make 6 for the fish extender list. I will give it one more week and see if we have anyone else would like to join. So please if you would like to participate in the fish extender PM me so that I can get an accurate count.
YES!!! my family wants in on the Fish Extenders! I just need to know numbers, every one? or just kids? Please let me know:cheer2:
