Welcome to our fun and ever-growing group of 5/9/09 cruisers! How was the Western cruise?

Not cruise related by any means but I will talk about it anyway! :goodvibes
My wife has the fear that gas will skyrocket and doesnt want her Durango any longer. Who is the world wouldnt want a Hemi?? So we started doing some shopping this weekend for a new Chrysler Town and Country. Found a used 08' but the dealer was being a dork and wouldnt knock a dime off the price or give us more for our trade. So I have decided to shop around town to see what kind of deal I can get.

The Western was amazing!!! We just walked around a bit in Key West, and booked a private all day charter in Grand Cayman. He took us to Stingray City where we were the second boat to arrive.....before all the big charter boats, snorkeling in an area where we were the only boat, to a beach with tons of starfish, Rum Point for lunch and tubing and a trip through the mangrove preserve. It was the best way to spend the day. On Cozumel we did the Royal Dolphin Swim at Chankanaab National Park and had a blast. Castaway Cay was just paradise as were the 2 days at sea. The ship was full, but never felt crowded. The food was excellent as was the service. I really like the Western itinerary and am looking forward to trying the eastern.

Sounds simply wonderful!!

We have also just been on the May 3rd Magic
And have rebooked for this Eastern next year!
Hi Lisa and Linda!
We had great time too!
Hopefully should be able to post some kind of trip report before long, but we are still a way off home
Still in Orlando at the moment, been to Universal, Sea World, Aquatica etc.
Moving to Port Orleans Thurs for 10 days...but please help...where are my towel animals and chocs? And my great value fruity adult beverages?
After a few days around Universal we are even more convinced what good value the DCL is, and how reasonable the "extras" are, eg. drinks etc. We especially thought the service and the cabins were excellent
We keep staring at our lovely formal photos....
Will read through the thread properly in time, but just wanted to say hi
Lyn and Bob

Yeah Lyn and Bob!!! It will be nice to have buddies on this cruise. I was hoping that someone else from the May 3 would book the May 9. What dining did you get....early or late?

Linda

So I was wondering.....any adults only parties who might want to link reservations for dining purposes?

On our 4 day Wonder cruise in '07 we were at a table for 8 and only one other couple spoke English. Rosemary and Frank were very nice people, but it was a bit awkward with the other 2 couples. So, looking to avoid that scenario....anyone interested?

We have requested early dining as Lisa is diabetic and we have found that dining early works best with blood sugar levels and such.

Let me know!!

Linda

So I think we have decided that we are going to shop and look around while in St Maarten and then the following day grab a taxi and head to Magens Bay in St Thomas for a family day at the beach.
