Got docs for both cruises in yesterday afternoons mail.

Well, after much phone and emailing with DTD people here's where we stand.

To do a "party" meet and greet everyone wants a deposit and guaranteed spend. I wanted to try and just reserve tables for a party of 20 but no one wants to set aside that kind of space.

So, we wanted to offer up a Meet up at Uva (round, central bar/dining area outside the DTD entrance to Grand californian) at 7pm Monday evening. We'll get there early and see what kind of tables we can score.

The 7 people that contacted me through PMs I will send messages to. From those it looks like we should be a group of about 20 people. Anyone else is more than welcome to join in.

Once again Monday 7pm at Uva. Look for the lime green baseball caps with Mickey on them.

Jason and I are trying to get Fantasmic Dessert package ressies for that night (I called this morning and nothing was showing up...they said they think it's becuase I was a day too early....that March has 31 days so technically TOMORROW is the 30 day window for an April 25th Fantasmic). So depending on the showtime(s) and when we can get reservations, we may or may not be able to stop by and say hi to folks.

We're doing WOC (Wine Country Trattoria package) on Monday night and our Fantasmic Premium Viewing is on Sunday night...I think we keep *just* missing all the other DISers! Guess we'll have to wait for the ship. If you see a stunningly beautiful Chinese-American princess being doted on by her somewhat haggard looking blonde mom, that's us! By the way, I will have everything you could possibly need in my purse, so just ask!

Ugh...then maybe that means there are no shows on Monday the 25th of Fantasmic. We're doing Club 33 on Sunday the 24th and don't really want to have to rush that to go do Fantasmic....and we're doing WOC with the Ariel's Dinner package on Saturday the 23rd. So if we call tomorrow and there are no shows on the 25th then maybe we'll have to do Fantasmic on either the 26th or the 22nd

Hi all ... Looks like we may have a fun time in Victoria ... Turns out we may be having a Federal election in Canada on May 2. That is the speculated date at least .... Shouldn't really affect us too much though. I'm just wondering if we will be able to follow the results on the ship? If not, we will have to wait until the next day to know who our fearless leader will be !

They used to do that for the Land & Sea packages out of PC - it would be worth asking.

We got our documents today. I'm hoping to go to Fantasmic on the 24th, it's the day we're flying in, no ressies just going to wing it.

I have a massage at 8:00 on the first sea day booked which I am going to cancel tomorrow morning around 7AM EST if anyone is interested, I don't know how long it takes to be back up on DCL's site. I think a rum drink and a lounge chair facing the ocean will suffice.

I think only if you've officially booked a land and sea package will they let you do that----which we haven't cuz we're doing our land portion thru DVC. I guess we'll just have have to get there when we get there and be happy we're getting on the ship at all! The good thing for us is we don't want to run up and try to get Palo brunch or anything...so all we have to do is get on, relax and eat lunch....so it won't kill us to get on later in the afternoon....we just always love the thrill of getting there early and everything!


We called and booked Fantasmic. I was right when I looked on the website adn there are no Fantasmics after the 24th until the1st weekend in May---it must be going on hiatus or something (odd timing since it's the week after Easter, but w/e). So we booked for Friday the 22nd so it wouldn't conflict with our WOC or Club 33 dinners.

Now that we have docs and our ressies are all set....we have to finish our fish extender goodies, start packing and gathering up our boardgames (we're boardgame people----so if you see us on deck playing cards or bananagrams or something else fun, join in!)....and then figure out what we're doing in San Fran on Friday! We had booked Muir Woods on Friday and Alcatraz Saturday, but then we decided to do a private tour group thing all day Saturday so we cancelled Alcatraz....hoping we could do an evening one on Friday....but the Muir tour gets back too late to do both...so we're considering not doing any DCL excursions in San Fran and trying to do it on our own and just do an independant morning Muir tour and afternoon/evening Alcatraz---and maybe if there's a bus-type tour of San Fran sights between then that would be cool. Any suggestions? (We don't usually do excursions on our own EVER...we trust Disney to do all the planning!)

We got a room!!! We are going to be in #2637. And its a small upgrade. We booked a Cat.11 and got a Cat.10, its a split bath so easier to get ready. We will be changing rooms for the Alaska as we will have a window for that cruise.

Got our docs today!!! (Northern California)
It all seems so real now.
Changed our car rental to drive to SoCal to Enterprise..saved over $100.00!!! And they will take us to the cruise ship after the drop off of the car!!!
Saving too much money over flying there so we will drive the 8+ hours....what we do to save money!!

So I was on the phone with my mom when I checked the mail tonight when I got home from work..I open the mailbox and start dancing and yelling "I'm doing the Mickey docs dance!!!" my mom thought I was crazy, and I had to explain myself....needless to say, our cruise docs arrived today!

Three days after I hoped, I finally received my cruise docs. I have to say I LOVE the new format.

And I love the timing. I was taking two difficult classes for career development, and finished the program yesterday. As much as I wanted the docs sooner, I didn't need the distraction from my preparation and studies!

I've purchased Alcatraz tickets, and my wife is looking for a tour of the Victorian homes. Five weeks from today we'll be enjoying San Francisco, along with fresh sourdough bread and dungeness crab.
