04/27/11 DCL's WONDERful LA-VANCOUVER REPO ON THE WAY TO ALAKSA

Hooray! I got my GTY assignment today! We are in 2519, so no pixie dust, but the reviews of the room say it is good.
Did anybody else out there get their GTY assignments?

I read online, that the running water in 2519 was from the commode? :confused3

Actually, I was just messin' with ya' about the water in 2519. I can be a bit of a jokester from time to time. :rotfl:

Then again, the lifeboats have had a *standing* water problem, so I understand DCL drilled pilot holes in the bottom of the boats, the let the water out! :lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I was getting all upset for her! :lmao:

Is it too late to join in the fun??

DH and I were supposed to be going to Tokyo Disneyland but due to the earthquake it looks like our trip is not going to happen. So DH suggested doing the back-to-back cruises and I think its a great idea.

Steven,
If I do have problems with stateroom 2519, I plan to spike your beer at the beer tasting and switch keys with you, so you can stay there. :rotfl2:

Ok kiddies, there will not be a grass skirt meeting on the repo sailing, but worry not get your grass skirt and flannel shirt ready for the Alaska sailing, that is when there will be a meeting/gathering of the group.

New membership card will be available, I have some kewl Red Green suspenders ready to hold up my skirt, or maybe mtg kilt, will see.

I am sure Gordy and Lynn's Duffy will be ready.

Welcome Aboard! If you would like to be included on the free lanyard and name badge give-away, I need the first names of everyone in your group.

HI JILL.....so great to see you over here. YES, I would think that Tokyo Disney is a bust for a while. Good thing your weren't there when it happened. I love it that you and Matt decided to do these B2B cruises instead. There's a lot of Thieves sailing both of these. Welcome!!!

btw, check the Alaska thread for some events that you don't want to miss. One in particular that I am hosting, but only on the Alaskan.

It will be great to sail with you again.

Thanks everyone! We have a few loose ends to wrap up with Tokyo and then will hopefully book the cruises. We were supposed to leave for Tokyo at the beginning of April. However we feel that its not a good time to travel there even if the parks open again by then (they said they would make a decision how long they would be closed by the 21st of march). We just have to figure out the airline reservations. The Hilton is allowing a refund due to the situation.

I will have to start looking at the threads and see what all is going on.

Just fill up my beer mug from time to time, and I will be happy! :thumbsup2

Oddly enough, at dinner tonight, someone said they thought Tokyo Disneyland would probably be fixed prior to Japan's nuclear power plant!

*** If you DO go on the B2B cruises ... consider spending a few days in Disneyland ... many of us are doing the same. There is information on the first post (page 1) of this thread ... including private motorcoach transportation from Disneyland to the San Jose pier ... so nobody has to return to the airport ... just to get another transfer to the pier. It saves time, AND money!

Cayla, try oriental trading, or a party store, for Pal you might have to custom make,
