I know Scott is already planning a pre-cruise meet at GCV... Right Scott? :rotfl2: No pressure Scott... none at all!

Does anyone know if DL still does the dessert party prior to Fantasmic? We went about 5 years ago when it was still hosted up stairs adjacent to the gift shop. That is no more.

Walt & Di arriving 3 days early ...

Jamie and I will be coming in early too. Quick flight to SNA from Salt Lake City. Yeah, we don't have to travel clear across the country! Will probably fly out of Seattle also since we can generally get a one way out of there to Salt Lake for $59. Hopefully the fares will stay low.....

I emailed Tony and here is what he said:

They still do have preferred seating for Fantasmic. It is isn't on the balcony anymore, since they added the dream suite. But the vantage points are nice. Dessert is no longer a buffet, but a prearranged plate of pastries, cheeses, and such. It is a nice splurge, especially since you don't have to wait forever for your seats.

Tony and Adrienne are joining us on the first Alaska cruise. He said he would check in with the other thread shortly.

I think another MouseAdventure on the High Seas could be in our future!

Okay!!! That's something we'd like to do!!! Thanks for checking on this Linda! :woohoo:

Hi everyone

Welcome to the newcomers and Georgie & Bob...thanks for keeping the roster up to date....Bob...I like the picture you selected for Mom and I...I was scared when I saw you say that you would use ones you had because I know some of the pictures you have of me!!!!!!

Sorry I haven't checked in much lately but for those that know about our flooding problems we unfortunately had to fire our contractor last night....we found out neither he nor his company is licenced and I just can't have someone rebuilding my entire basement that isn't licenced....lucky for us he had not yet started our basement rebuild when we found out....we have been referred to another contractor and he has already been by and started the estimating process...again. We have an appointment Friday night to select our flooring, paint colours, shower, toilet, etc. We were hoping that the basement would be completed by Christmas but we think this delay will put us into the new year. All I can say is that our insurance company has been great through all this and thank goodness it is all covered by insurance.

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week.....

Is it time to cruise yet?????????

:rotfl: My DH is taking college courses in the evening, and last night on campus it was a whopping 70 degrees. Now we're both TX born and raised, but we HATE the heat (oyyy, you can't believe our A/C bill this last brutal summer). So he was loving the weather. But he kept passing these tiny little college girls who were bundled up in sweatshirts and scarves, saying "Oh MY GOD, it is like so cold!"

Now this whole layering thing...I've never gotten the logistics of that. Especially when it involves taking off a long sleeve as the day warms up and tying it around my waist. Frankly I don't need what amounts to a big flag emphasizing my rear any more than it already is.

On the bright side, when the lighter fall clothes go on sale in 2010, we can stock up on some good deals in preparation for 2011 :thumbsup2

Shout out to Karen! Well I just keep bumping into you lately! :thumbsup2 So nice to finally have someone around who understands my vigorous love of champagne cocktails.

Ditto!

Considering that I am a Devout Member of the Champagne Girls....I'm liking what I'm hearing and would love to learn more.

I love belinis. What champagne cocktails do you like?

We're official!!! Just gotta pay the extra deposit and it's a done deal... So I'll send a PM right now.

Right back at ya, Brandi!!! Had an awesome waiter in the Prom Lounge on the Magic last week (Victor from Chile) who, once he discovered my love of flavoured fizz, kept bringing me little 'tasters' to tickle my tastebuds!!! :worship: Naturally he received an honourable mention on the comment card... ;) Oh and they were serving a new one on me at Palo's brunch - Midori and champagne, YUM!!! Plus it matched my lime green cardigan... Maybe that should be my 'thing' - clothes to coordinate with cocktails..? :lmao:

Kaz, you are a true champagne sister. I like your style.;)

Good Morning Cruisers!

Looks like it will be a nice day here today before the cold hits tomorrow! I am glad we will be skipping out for the weekend and missing the snow!

Elaine - hope you reconstruction project gets back on track!

Welcome to the new folks - I keep losing count!

Have a great day everyone!

Ken, I thought Disney cruises were our life!!!:lmao:

Haha Emily, I know that Disney cruises are definitely my life. I currently have 5 cruises booked on DCL....just had to get to platinum before we sail the B2B LA-Van-Alaska....we want all the upgraded perks for this special trip. ;)

....now talk about how many differnt threads there are to keep up with....:laughing::laughing:

Deb, I'll rephrase that: Disney cruises and Disney are my life. Between now and 2011 I've got WDW in Nov., DCL Baltic, WDW in Aug. for the pin event followed by a 4 night on the Wonder and then back to WDW for MNSSHP, WDW in Nov., and then Alaska. So if you split it up by ressies that's 7 trips planned for between now and 2011. And of course the Dream is always a big ?:confused3. So that could make it 8.

Anyone that sailed on the 2008 WB PC cruise probably knows that I like to do up signs when the inspiration strikes. I tend to make them so they can fit on business card-sized magnets but a few people have taken them and modified themto make them fit on what they want to. An example of one I made is the "Magnificent Deck 7 Crew" in my sig.

I know many of the "Thieves" are wondering when I'll make my first one, and I hate to disappoint. So here are three I whipped up this morning.

I think this is the right thread to put them in. Feel free to copy as you want.

A little tongue in cheek for us OCD ppl. I'll try and update it at various points.

Not sure why you would want a larger version but here it is.

And one more for right now:

And the larger version can be found here.

Thanks Ken....I took the first one and the third one. I LOVE them!!!

Good - it's not just me!
I am very actively looking for a job in Florida, even though I live in Washington state. If I get a job before the end of the school year, I'll live alone out there while the kids finish school here. That provides me the opportunity to take four three-night cruises and make gold before the LA-YVR repo.

Yay, we're officially booked! :cool1:

Does anyone get Sunset magazine? For anyone who's not going on to the Alaska cruise, and planning an extended tour of BC, the September issue had some amazing coastal inns/cabins. Though they're not exactly next door to Vancouver (2-5 hours away?), the pics look amazing and peaceful.

Rockwater Secret Cove Resort - Halfmoon Bay, BC (actually poshy tent suites).

Black Rock Oceanfront Resort - Ucluelet, Vancouver Island, BC.

Thanks for that awesome site....I just spent the past few hours there. We're thinking of flying into San Diego and exploring then taking the Pacific Surfliner up to LA to get onboard. How awesome that would be.:rolleyes1
