04/27/11 DCL's WONDERful LA-VANCOUVER REPO ON THE WAY TO ALAKSA

HI Sue! We are life long Giants fans too! We just heard on the Gary Raditch show on Comcast, that ESPN and the national league are trying to get the Giants and the Dodgers to play a game at ATT Park on Friday April 30!! they did not give a reason why they are working on this, but wouldn't it be great?? Keep your fingers crossed!! Karen and Ron:cheer2:

Unfortuantely you have the wrong date it is actually 3/31 as the first game of the season which is really going to mess up my trip for opening day. I will only get to see one game rather than 5 if they opened at home on 4/7 like they should have. We will have to meet up for sure. I noticed you are no longer in SF either have you been to the ballpark? It is awesome and not far from where the ship is docking! Sue

Hi Sue! Thanks for the update, we got the date wrong:rolleyes1
Yes we have been to ATT Park several times, it is the bomb!! Hope to meet up with you - maybe at the sports bar to watch a Giants game!! Karen and Ron:happytv:

Hiya Everybody

I need some help from the SF experts.

I looked at the Beach Blanket Babylon website http://www.beachblanketbabylon.com/ and it looks like they only do one show on Friday nights and it's at 6:30 :confused3

Does anyone know if the schedules are seasonal? Maybe they add more shows at different times of the year? It looks like they sell tickets about 4 months in advance. Do the best seats sell out quickly? Do I need to mark my calendar?

Thanks in advance :goodvibes

I will check with my friends who work in SF. I do kow that they sell out fast when we went serveral years ago we go tickets just about at the 4 month mark. Sue

We are looking taking the train from Vancouver to Seattle, because it looks like the scenery is amazing and my DS7 would love it. Our flight leaves out of Seattle at 12:50am and I am wondering if we can do this or not. I see that the train gets in at approx. 10:30, is it realistic that we could make it to the airport in time or not? Or should we just take an earlier afternoon bus? We would love to tour around Vancouver, as we have never been on the West coast or in Canada. Any thoughts on this from those who have experience?

It is about 15 miles between where the train drops off in Seattle and SeaTac airport. At that time in the evening the traffic and the crowds at the airport will be minimal so it is doable but it doesn't leave any room for delays along the way.

Hi All! I've been away for a while and noticed many PMs have been returned due to a full mailbox.

I apologize. I've made some space and should be good to go for a while.

I will begin updating our roster once again.

Hope everyone is doing great. Let's hope Disney gets their excursions out there SOOOOON!

Hello everyone. I just recently found this thread. My family is booked for the REPO cruise next year. This will be our first cruise (Disney or otherwise) and we are looking forward to it. I hope to get to know some of you on the board and get to meet you in person on the cruise. Still going through reading 100 pages of posts (I am currently at about 15%). I booked the cruise last March while I was mobilized and was worndering how it seemed so full a year out, now I know why.

I'll try to read more before I post any rehashed questions. Just wanted to introduce myself to the group and share in the excitement of the precruise. :thumbsup2

Matthew

WELCOME! :welcome:

Sorry your PM bounced back. I've got the info now and will get to updating the roster in a bit. THis time of the year is always crazy! We just returned from a quick trip to WDW. With one week until Christmas it's scurry time!!!

So glad you found us!

NOW DCL... LET'S GET THOSE EXCURSIONS GOING!!!

Thank you for your reply and WELCOME! So do you think that it is better to take the bus? We have never been out that way before and have no clue which transportation to take. We choose Seattle for the flights because of the savings ($400!) and we are open to leaving Vancouver earlier than the train and do some touring there. We are just excited to be on the West Coast.

We too are considering taking the train, but don't think we'll see much of that scenery since it will probably be dark... :lmao: Still looking for a reasonable place to stay for a couple days in Vancouver.

Welcome to all the newbies since I posted last.... ;)

The times and days they have on the website are the same for all year. It has been suggest you get your tickets the first day you can for the Friday show. Its like booking shore excursions! Have a great time it is an awesome show. Sue

Good Morning All!

I've learned through other posters that the REPO excursions will be posted on the DCL website as early as Tuesday next week, the 21st. :woohoo: FINALLY we can plan!

A reminder to Platinum CC Members. Booking opens the 28th.

I noticed yesterday that they've updated the website and added San Francisco and Victoria as Ports of Call for the Alaska & Pacific cruises - they just don't have any excursions listed yet.

I looked into this show too, but to go to the evening shows, you have to be 21, and my daughter is only 20..

We are originally from the SF Peninsula and have gone a couple of times. Things can get a little off color and whoever is in polical office is a target so both political are on the line as well as other current events. Sue

With a VERY heavy heart I need to cancel tha Repo portion of this adventure. My job won't give me all the time off I need to do the B2B, so I've decided to stick with the Alaska portion....atleast I'll still get to see a good chunk of you :goodvibes

I'll be back if I win the lottery!!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Soooo SORRY to hear this. But, now that the decision is made, you can concentrate on the Alaskan cruise. :wizard:

Sounds like fun :lmao:

I have a friend from Santa Rosa who has told me many times that I need to see this show. Tried a couple of times when I was in town but we could never get tickets.
