Unfortunately, Phil says we are inline for 6 more weeks of WINTER!

Did you hear about an animal rights group petitioning to have the groundhog removed from current and future "services"? They suggestes it was cruel to use a groundhog in these duties. OMG!

I hate cold weather!!!

I think I read somewhere that they either smoke or gas the groundhog out and that is why people protest.

Good Morning Everyone!

So far, I think the groundhogs who "saw" their shadows were correct! We awoke to SNOW this morning... a beautiful dusting.

However, the forecast predicts a heavy SNOW is on it's way this weekend!

What are some of the Travel Books you are all using to plan for our upcoming cruise(s)? Are there any which are turning our to be your favorites?

We are still keeping an eye on the weather channels watching the development of a possible Winter Storm. Right now it's saying 6 to 12", starting Friday afternoon, possibly more. It looks like our weekend trip to Annapolis will be postponed. I'm glad we got our snowblower fixed. We will take that out for a spin instead!

We got snow yesterday (Wednesday). When I went out to shovel the driveway, I found a Penguin sunning himself.

We're told to expect 10-22" of snow this weekend. So, I am going on a cruise to Alaska in MAY, to get away from SNOW in FEBRUARY?

Yes, we're definitely still at Disneyland prior to the Repo!!! We've just bought VGC points to make sure we make it!!!

We used a DK travel book for San Francisco for our spring break trip last year. If you have younger children you may know that DK books are really nice books full of great pics and info. Their travel books are the same. It is how we learned to get the pass for the trolleys and busses and were able to get around easily. I hope I can find something similar for Victoria and Vancouver.

We also found the Zagat restaurant site to be really informative. We had only one bad meal in a week following their recommendations. And they let you subscribe for just one month -- I think it was $15.

We are currently planning the Baltic cruise, then we can plan this one.

Right now,it looks like Scott might make this trip his retirement celebration!

I think it was prior to the first Panama Canal cruise, and that's been 5 years ago! I can't believe it has been five years.....

Anyway, good news to share.....she got her acceptance letter last night via email and has been accepted into Brigham Young University (they have a wonderful music/dance/theater program). She will start this fall.

Needless to say, she is very excited!
