04/18/2014 3 Night Port Canaveral

Also, I'd recommend brining something for pirate night even if right now it doesn't sound like something you'd like. Almost everyone on our cruises has done something and our first cruise we spent the better part of a day wandering around Cozumel looking for anything on the theme after we realized what a big deal it is. But don't bother with bandannas. They give you each one. The stores on board have a few items but they close while in port and for a while after sailing.

I got a reply reference the Egg hunt and a castmember told me the Magic may have one or all of 3 events scheduled 1) Egg hunt 2) face painting 3) Easter party in youth activity space. Just in case am still bringing my own eggs for a hunt on CC:thumbsup2

We are a big water drinking family! I have read on several boards that you can pack your own case of water.. Can anyone please confirm if this is True??:confused3

Thank you

Sure. You can bring water as long as you are willing to lug it onboard in your carryon and carry it around until your cabin is ready. But, the water on board is well filtered and treated so you might not need it.

Reminder - this is the last time to join the Fish Extender Exchange - I'll publish the final list after 11:59 PM CST tomorrow. See above for what info to send.

This is our first Disney cruise. We would like to do FE also. We are mom, dad and 2 boys (age 9 and 11). Looking forward to all the fun we've been hearing about! Will take any first timer advice on must see and do's since we are all new to this!

Thanks all!

Welcome! It's our first DCL as well. My son is almost 8 yrs old, we will be on deck 6. If the port upgrades are decent I may take one and our cabin number will change.
I went to the Dollar Tree and got a shopping bag for $1 for my fish extender and I glued our fav WDW characters on it. No need to get an expensive extender. I've learned a lot in the past 4 weeks since I booked simply by lurking here.
Here's my two cents: bring some bonine or Dramamine, if you drink alcohol you can bring your own in your carry-on saving a ton of $, if your family likes having cool names, then when your family is announced at boarding you will want to think up your new name, order room service cookies at 2200 hrs. because it's vacation!, Also last night order coffee room service at 2200 hrs. it will still be warm next morning and it will right there in your room, be first off the ship at CC for chair realty, bring a highlighter for your navigator or you can download the app. Have your family photo taken while on ship,,the sitting fee at home will be worth the cost, bring a flashlight (JIC), do the Spa tour when you arrive, go to kids clubs too for open house because afterwards you won't be able to.

That's all I have for now! Hope it helps:cutie:

I'll be checking over the list and sending it to all who are on it later today!

We'll be aboard before you know it!

Thanks for the tips all! We'll be shopping for some pirate gear for sure.

Hello and welcome! Are you going to join the Fish Extender list? Oh wait, I think Mr. Shiny had a cut-off date last week. You probably don't know what a Fish extender is anyway! If you like this cruise then on your next one you may want to do it. I asked DCL if there would be an egg hunt and they said it is possible not guaranteed. Just in case I am bringing some eggs of my own for an egg hunt on Castaway Cay.

I'm so torn.... My DH said on and off cuff remark we should ditch the children over Easter (teen with their own plans) and make plans of our own so. I asked a friend to see thing if we were gone she agreed.

Then he says off cuff again we should go on a cruse.... So curious cat I look and what do I find this one :) Dates are perfect cost for the cruise isn't bad. But now Flights are horridly expensive! $1000 each from Alberta to Orlando My logic brain says NO! But my Disney Brain is moving into it's happy place :)

What a dilemma.....
