Howdy, we just returned from a eastern Caribbean cruise during which we booked Mexico for April 2011. We had a great time last week on our other cruise and are looking foreward to the next one. :cool1:

Our family consists of myself, husband, son (who will be 10) and daughter (who will be 6). WE are also traveling with my parents. We live in Madera, CA, which is by Fresno.

WE hope to meet you all!!!

Hi Kim, Can't wait for the trip! We went on a 4 day Cruise to the Bahamas in 2008 and are so excited to go on this one. :yay:

We just got off the western Caribbean last weekend and booked this cruise. We are so excited about it, especially since we won 't have to fly we are only 45 minutes from the port.

My DH , DD 5, DS 8 and I enjoyed doing the FE exchange every time we got back to our room we had treats in our FE. Hopefully we can get one together for this trip.:dance3:

We definitely will! :thumbsup2

We have been on lots of carnival and royal carribean cruises. Not a fan of Carnival by any means. Royal Carribean is OK, but wouldn't take my kids on it. The last few time we cruised with them, there were way too many college kids doing things my kids shouldn't see. Been on 2 Disney cruises and have loved them both. The last one, we hit the end of a hurricane and it was rocky for a few days, but we had a great time. The service is the best we've seen so far. The staff are just so nice. It is just enough Disney to make me and the kids happy, but not so overboard to drive my husband crazy.

We didn't do FE the last few times but would be interested in it this time. We are just soo pleased that we don't have to fly for 6 hours to get there. We are just 3 1/2 hrs. by car.

Where is everyone from? My family lives in Madera, California. We are right in the middle of the state. 3 hrs. from LA, 2 1/2 from San Fran and Sacramento. 45 mins. from Yosemite.

We are from The San Fernando Valley. About 20 min north of Los Angeles. We will be going on this cruise with my 3 sister in-laws, their husbands and kids. We are so excited about this trip. We will be booking next week or the week after.
We all liked doing the FE's, it's cool to come back to your room and find surprises in the FE's. The kids really were excited about it! Maybe later during the year, we can get a list of who will be participating. :confused3

We are from the San Fernando Valley as well and we are also so excited that we won't have to endure the long plane ride.

When we went on the Bahamas cruise... 6 hours on the plane with the kids was a challenge!! :scared1::scared1:

Hello to everyone in this group. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Monica and I live in Mazatlan, Sinaloa Mexico. For anyone on a future Disney cruise to the Mexican Riviera, I am pleased to make myself available to you for any questions about the city of Mazatlan or country of Mexico.

As for myself, I am a resident of both the United States and of Mexico. I speak both English and Spanish fluently and I have sailed on DCL numerous times and have been a lifelong fan of Disney. Let me say right upfront, I am NOT selling anything nor am I affiliated with any business or tour company. I am only here to help and give honest information and opinions in an attempt to make your time in Mazatlan or Mexico a positive experience.

I hope that everyone will welcome me to the discussion and that I can be of assistance to anyone who has a question about my city or country. I will attempt to check the boards once per day, but should I miss a question, please do not hesitate to send me a private message. I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Gracias,
Monica

Looking forward to sailing in April! :cheer2: My Dh, and I will be bringing our 4 kids...DS(14), DS(13), DS(turning 10 on the cruise), and DD(8).
:)

Thanks Monica. We plan to go to this 4/10/2011 cruise. My dad, whom I am taking, has a bad back and a prior stroke. He walks but needs to be on wheelchair for medium distances. I know the excursions are not yet out to be reviewed, but in your opinion, what excursions are appropriate for a mildly handicapped person? Thanks again.

Am looking forward to the Wonder Cruise next April with our 3 sons, daughter-in-laws, 3 grandsons 6,3,2...it will be an experience that will be unforgettable.

A couple of questions:

1) There's a few messages regarding FE's....what are they?

2) When the ship is in Port, if some on the grandkids aren't up to a full day adventure on shore Can we stay on-board? What type of activities might still be available and will there be food?

Most of us are in the Bay Area, one of my sons is in Irvine, so we will use his place to stay before and after we return from the cruise

thank you
