'03 AP rates

I just read a message on DisneyDollarless...The poster was told today by CRO that the AP rates for Jan/Feb '03 would be available to book on Monday, October 28th.

For those of you that are waiting, I hope this is true .

FYI, I called CRO yesterday and they said they expected AP rates for May by Nov. 15.

I also just heard this today, I called the disney club to make a dining reservation and just checked on the AP rates, she told me I could make them on Monday Ocotber 28!!!!
Im getting up early that day!!

Wouldn't you know it, I try to call today to see if I can get any information, and I get an CM who doesn't know anything. She told me that they aren't told before they are loaded into the system and sometimes they are loaded before they are able to book them, and nothing had been loaded in yet for AP rates. I'm anxiously awaiting some sort of discount code, and will be up early on Monday if it's true!!!

Is that for real saturday97? We're going in early May and I was under the impression AP's wouldn't be coming out until at least January! Wow that is so terrific. I hope I don't miss them. Thanks for the info!

That's what the CM told me-- he sounded pretty on the ball, but just to make sure, I'm going to call again in another week or so and see if I get the same info. I'll post any word I get!

Wondering if anyone knows what the "typical" AP discount is (if there is such a thing) for January. Already got a fabulous deal under the nurse/teacher rate at the Dolphin, but it sure would be nice to move to an MK resort for our last few days. Are there any "rules of thumb" about how much of a discount there might be in January? Maybe I ought to grab a room under regular rates now just in case....

I don't know about what's typically offered, because we only learned about these fantastic discounts last fall. We went on our trip in January '02 and had AP rates. We stayed at AKL in savannah view rooms for $169 +tax a night and at the Poly in garden view rooms for $174 +tax a night. I think this is around 40% off.

Next month DH and I are going back without the children and staying at ASMu for one night with an AP rate of $49 +tax and at the YC for three nights in a std view room for $169 +tax a night.

When the AP rates came out for January '02 in mid-December last year, they were the same (or about the same) as they had been for fall '01.
