03/29/08, March 29, 2008 Eastern Magic - Who else?

So I was able to get the fixes to the cruise list. Please, Please tell me if I made any mistakes.

Also I have to share this. Last March we cruised in room 5642 and our friends were in 5644 so we thought it was so funny when we got 5642 and 5644 was our parents.

Also if there is anyone else who wants to join the Fish Extender fun it is not too late.

Happy planning

Deb, sorry to hear about the loss of your 2 cats and the scare you had with your dog. We have 2 cats and the oldest Milo had some issues a few months back so I know how that can be. Also know about how the pinch on the funds can be. Hopefully the test will go well at school and just think, the cruise is just about 1 month away! Keep the faith and think about the down time you have coming to both of you.

Michelle, I know you changed this at one point, but maybe another list you had still had Camryn listed as a boy, so just a correction to the most recent list I see here - Camryn is a girl. Thanks.:)

Sorry about that. I changed it on the FE list and forgot to change it on this one. It is fixed now. :thumbsup2

Also, do you have your room number yet so I can add it to the FE list.

Michelle - thanks for updating the list for all of us!!!

As for a cruise meet, I agree w/Michelle and suggest Deck 10 overlooking the pier to see the big Mickey hands waving goodbye, about 4pm or 1/2 hour prior to the sailaway party.

As to shirts, we have several from past cruises all in Disboards flourescent green...we will be wearing one of them.

Our cabins are 2122 and 2124. Late seating.

Question: What is everyone here doing for the night before? We are seeking reccomendations for the best Port Canveral area to stay in. We have narrowed it down to Residence Inn, Raddison, and Country Inn and Suites. If anyone has perspective on these or other options that would be appreciated.

As a note, our original plan was to stay at a WDW resort such as AKL - however it does not appear that we would get any good deals on rooms (no AP rates available to my knowledge), so we are planning on skipping WDW as we do not want to spend $500 on a room for one night.

I went in and edited the info on the cruise list.

As for places to stay Chuck and Lisa know a lot about that. They usually stay there the night before.

We have picked up and spent time with people when they are at the Motel 6 down the road. It was nice.

My entire group lives within 45min of the port.

And based on what friend in resorts told me they are really full for Spring this year (so we have to push our grirls weekend to sometime after March/Spril) so I would not imagine there would be much of a discount. You could always check for something that may be a last minute discount at the hotels...but do not know what those would be if they had them.

Thanks Michelle for updating the lists!! :thumbsup2

Our favorite place to stay was the Residence Inn. Huge clean suite, very nice hotel and good breakfast!! However, the rate was too high for this sailing.

We have also stayed at the Country Inn and Suites. Basic room, but clean. The hotel was nice and the breakfast was decent. Chuck didn't care for the room, though.

This time we are staying at the Radisson. We have heard good reviews. The price was great and they allow you to keep your car at the hotel and provide shuttle service to the port. The rate was lower than parking at the port while we were on the Magic!! :thumbsup2

Lisa

Lisa, we are staying at the Radisson ourselves, we wont be arriving until 10pm or so. My husband just mentioned that we have to call and make a reservation for the shuttle? Is that the case and if so, what time are you guys heading to the ship?

Does this mean you will not be sitting outside the gate before 10am???
