GOT MY CRUISE DOCUMENTS

Means I better get rolling............... Sunday is the day..... I am now really excited.

The only thing was, I was hoping for a TINK FAMILY up-grade, but it was not there. I am satisfied with our room, but did want to be next door to Rani......

First -- YEA - Tink got her forms!

Second -- I happened to be online complaining to Disney that there are absolutely NO reservations available for Palo and a couple other things -- they were no help at all. There are no rooms in any catagories above mine to be upgraded to ----BUT, BUT, BUT - there are other Deluxe Family Staterooms apparently scattered......maybe there's hope!!!!!

Hello everybody! I am a very latecomer to this thread, but my family and I will be on the 3/1 Eastern cruise. It will be DH, DD10 and me, plus my Dmom, Ddad, Dsis, her hubby and Dnephews 5 and 6.

I've become a cruise maniac in the last few days, studying Navigators online, making shirts, looking into making magnetic signs, etc. I've even starting packing a little.

Hope to see some of you on the cruise and make some new friends.

One more question to the group...Well I have many, but only time to ask one now . How do the rules for attire apply in reference to wearing white (shoes and pants). In certain places, it is frowned upon to wear white before Easter. Does this hold true on the boat or is it ok????? Seems like it should be fine since it is a Caribbean Cruise.

What the heck, do we even use that Easter Rule anymore anyway? Noone will pay attention as it will be 88 degress where we are going, sounds summer to me...... Have you been scrolling the main thread, a lot of questions are answered there.

If you look back (after page 100) where I talk about posting an avatar -- you can click "custom avatar" and it lets you upload a jpg from your computer --- in your avatar space...that's all i know.

Finally got my docs was worried they would be held hostage at the border.

Tink: got your PM a few days ago, thanks much...tried to respond but wouldn't let me .

tkmontg: Wouldn't worry too much about the Easter rule...you are on a Carribean cruise and Easter falls early this year.

Guess I have to get off my butt and start packing...we've got Family Day (new stat holiday) on Monday...so I guess I have no excuse.

Okay- Can everyone stoppppppp changing the avatars.... You are really getting me confused.... I can not keep up with all the additions and now you guys are trying to confuse me more........ I guess it is a sign, I need to stay off the computer and get going..... Let's see, ................

1) I have to get the clothes out or purchased that I need to pack.
2) Pick up some last minute stuff
3) Make a trip to the bank..... Need quarters........ Need Singles................
4) Locate the kids pirate costumes, see Rani, now that you have found yours, I have to find mine.....
5)I have to clean my house perfect. When you have someone staying at your house, you know you have to make sure your house is stocked with food as well as clean it perfect.....

I have to also clean my house so I don't think aobut how I'll have to do it when I get back.

I am bringing a cooler to take room service onto the islands. I got one at Trader Joe's for $1.99 that will keep foods cold for 4 hours without ice. It's nice and flat and has a velcro closure.

BTW, finally went to doctor -- sinus infection! Not contagious! Gonna be gone by the cruise! No cruise documents

Craig just talked to Costco -- our Travel Agents -- and they said Disney sent the travel documents directly on Feb. 13. So I am guessing they should be here any day -- and maybe some documents for all of you, too!

We got our Docs today or maybe yesterday. They where sent UPS and the person just stuck them in the storm door ! I came home today and just barley caught a little white and there they where !!

I just spent a fortune at Staples but I'm going to try to do our Taxes and pack this weekend !

Packing Status:

Almost done with pre-cruise packing for hotel nights. Kim - highlighters are in the cruise suitcase.

Backpacks for airport are slowly accumulating their needs.

Of course, as always, my clothes are the last to go in because I wear all the ones I love!

Tink - packed an extra pair of dress pants for each boy ---- dressing up for dinner. I think the only jeans they'll have are the ones they travel down in.

And, as it happens - it looks like the weather on the day we leave will be in the high 50s -- so the light jackets we would bring anyway are all we will need.

I DID, however, increase our suitcase count to seven because I was getting a little stressed trying to fit all these clothes and paraphanalia and now apparently snorkling stuff into only six suitcases for five people....

that's all I've got for everyone today!

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one getting started with packing and cleaning. My DH thinks I'm crazy. I've explained to him that going with the flow and being helpful will make for a much better cruise for all of us. Pointing out that other DISers are in the same state didn't convince DH that I'm behaving normally. Go figure!

I can not let anything distract me from my objective, but I've got to wait until the family wakes up ? That's why it's ok that I'm on the computer and not packing, right ?
