Hey everyone!

I just looked at the spreadsheet and we're up to 70 DIS members. Of course I don't have the names for everyone's family members and I don't have email addresses for some. However, I was shocked to see that many in the count. There are about 1/2 of that number being kids. :)

Anyone book the excursion for St. Martin being the Mounain Bike Adventure? We will be doing that. I've never been to Friar's Beach but want to get some activity in while enjoying the island.

How about the excursion for St. Thomas/St. John for the Kayak, Hike and Snorkel of Cas Cay?? :fish:

Don't forget to pack your small soft-sided lunch bag so you can pack a lunch. I'm bringing dollars so I can order sandwiches from room service for the excursions.

Have a fantastic day!!! :hippie:

I mentioned it a couple posts back -- but I purchased a cooler bag from Trader Joe's for $1.99. It has a velcro closure and keeps food cold for four hours without extra ice. It's cheap enough I can just leave it.....

BTW, no travel docs for us today --- :scared:    :scared:

Here is a shot of Norm and I on Castaway Cay last year. I had just told Norm that he had to give me a kiss if the Red Sox won the World Series in 2007. He decided to just give in quickly...
No docs in Vermont yet...

Question to the experienced:

The other day I tried to make reservations for a champagne brunch at Palo and of course - -not a single reservation is available. So I called Disney and was frustrated and they said they would see what they could do -- but really they couldn't do anything - I'd just have to get on the waitlist when I arrived.

Today I went and looked at my reservatin and we have a dinner reservation at Palo for Day 3 at sea...... This is very very nice, but then I won't have dinner with the kids. What are the odds that when we get there on Mar. 1 that we'll be able to exchange that for a champagne brunch reservation? Anyone know?

I am pretty impressed with Disney trying to make me happy!

Thanks.

Rani:

They do save some Palo slots for people to book on board. Once you check in you will receive a sheet with info on where to request Palo ressies and change dinner assignments, etc. Go there first thing and you should have a chance.

You can always ask to be put on a wait list in case someone cancels.

Good luck.:goodvibes

Rani,

I'm in the same boat as you. I made ressie for Palo dinner ( very nice of Disney for you ) but then decided I'd rather do the Palo brunch. I don't want to miss a regular dinner either. My DD might decide to eat at the club or not so we will let her decide.

So that means I'm getting to the port first thing so I can get aboard and try to get a brunch. I really did not want to do this as it's our first time so I might just skip the whole thing or not.

Watch a cute movie tonight, not one on the list you guys provided, called Martian Child.

Packing = zero
cleaned kitchen my mom would be proud of = 100%

:rotfl2: we're being punk'd!: :rotfl2:

Rani,

Where is your morning count down ?? Maybe that's why where stuck on this page it's waiting for the count down and the cute song.

No documents here in Harrisburg. Someone said they come via UPS so I'm not sure if that good or bad. But no brown truck in our neighborhood today.

I need help from the veterans...

I don't understand what to do after my excursion ends. We booked for the See and Sea Island Tour on St Maarten, but it ends as 12:15. Do you just go back to the boat? Is there a beach nearby that we can go on? I just don't want to be stuck after the tour with no direction. I don't know what to do!

Good Morning Everyone !!

As Rani ha given us her morning count down we are getting very close ! :cool1: :woohoo: :yay:

Hope everyone has a great day......

Does everyone realize that yesterday's Eastern launch was the last Eastern sailing before our Eastern sailing?

I'm posting a few POD's of the beach that we hung out at for an afternoon in St Marteen when we were there in 04.

I am also posting this link to our part of our webpage. There are three links when you get there "Disney Cruise Photos" Feb 2004 "Disney Cruise We Like to Party Video" Feb 2004 and "Disney Cruise Short People Video". They are all on the lower left hand side. They are all from our 2004 Eastern sailing. Here's the link:

Let me know if there are any problems.

Wish-Mom,

Don't worry about finding something to do after your excursion. Go back to the ship and let DS swim, grab a quick snack and relax. Usually the pools are less crowded on a port day. Besides, you may find yourselves needing a little rest after a busy am.

We packed today! As like Rani, some items cannot go in the cases since they are favs of ours.

Tim... LOVE THAT PHOTO!!!!

Good luck to everyone tomorrow who haven't received docs. Tomorrow is NOT a holiday for UPS. I hope you see the brown truck in your neighborhoods.

Have a great week everyone - we can now say 'Next Saturday' we sail away with Mickey! :cheer2:

Hello to all new comers since my last post. (Yeah, like I'm that much of an old hate)
Thought I'd check in and see if I could boost the count to 116. Spent the weekend cleaning a popcorn machine and staring at the suitcase that is supposed to contain my clothes. The rest of the family is packed - except for those items needed until we leave. -- Still a little concerned doing the last part by myself.
For those that missed the post many pages and a few weeks ago - the DW is at a seminar the week before embarkation. We will pick her up at Detroit airport and leave from there on 2/29. (Wanted the extra day, just in case connections didn't quite connect)

As to the popcorn machine, it is like one from the theatre. Got is for a minimal donation from the local athletic club, covered in grease, switch not working, but would be really cool when we have the neighborhood over to swim in the pool. Took all week end, the grease is gone. I (by some miracle) fixed the switches and it works and looks like a whole new machine. It even shines in places.

Thought about the cruise the entire repair. I could probably eat everything but popcorn on the cruise. My hands are sore from all of the cleaning chemicals and the metal edges of some of the pieces. I hope to be fully healed by 3/1. If not, nothing a little internal alchohol medication won't cure.

Take care everyone. Hope this post, lengthy on purpose, gets us to the next page.

John

Fig --

don't feel so bad -- you're not an "old hate!" old hat, maybe....

I felt the same way you feel about the popcorn machine when I was in college and worked for Cinnabon. After baking so much and rolling so much (actually won an award - 'fasted roller in the west' ) I had no desire to be anywhere near a Cinnabon --- and still - 18 years later - I feel the same way!
