OK - Now I have no idea what these # passes are - info please...

1 - I like long windedness -- DH likes bullet-pointed conversations, so details are a real treat for me.

2 - thanks everyone for putting up with all my questions - I hope I haven't bugged you

3 -- Did i mention how excited I am!

Okay..I will take a stab at this.....
the pass # is your boarding #,... kinda like how Southwest airlines does it...southwest has letters and disney has numbers lol!!!!
they put a certain number of families in each group and that # boards and then they call the next # or group to board the ship, that way everyone is not trying to get on the boat all at the same time....

you get your boarding # when you check in... so the early you get to port, the smaller your boarding # number, and the sooner you get to board the ship!

Does that make any sense, or have I confussed you even more LOL???

I should add also, that if you do get a bigger # (we did last year) not to worry...the boarding goes rather quickly...you will be fine :)

Geez...I seem to be a little post happy today...guess it is no secret that I am not getting much done today!!!!

I just came across a post that Disneybridein2k3 made on the "Palo for a Party of 9" thread... she posted a group picture of our Palo Brunch from last MArch....Ron and I are on the left side, I am next to the lady with the blue on..(that was alanapapa's mother-n-law that past away recently) Mark and Johnna are at the head of the table..Mark is in the white shirt and Johhna is to his left (really can't see her)..the picture is kinda small so it is really hard to see everyone....

Got the boarding pass thing -- thanks.

How can we see the pic, EJK?

Tink,

I do not know what your talking about (pillowcase ??) but it sounds like you did some work BEFORE the holidays and did not get paid. I'm so sorry someone did not keep to their end of the deal and it sounds like they where coming out way ahead !!

Here is a big hug and a x?#x?# for the person that has made you so mad. Maybe she just got carried away on her planning it slipped her mind ??!! I hope so........

Michelle

We finally got a pic posted.....If it was up to me trying to figure this out..it would have never happened. Emily is the brains behind the photo post LOL!!!!!
This was taken on our cruise last March...

EJK< That's a great picture! It's nice to be able to put faces to names...or screen names.

Kim, did a new list of families attending this cruise go out? I haven't gotten it if it has....could you resend? If not, mute point.

Have a great weekend, everyone :o)

Look Jen- Brenda has awakened....... I guess we can not secretly pass things off to her now. We closed the boards last night and she is back on this morning.:lmao: Are you guys getting your slepping bags ready to sleep at the port for your #2s? I think Rani may now be there with you. :rotfl2: Sorry to confuse you Rani by adding something else to the mix, but Brenda did a great job explaining it. :thumbsup2

If they get the chat board up and going maybe we can get on this Sunday. Keep your fingers crossed.

Mike- Do you think Melissa will let you sleep at port with our other two families. Oh Jen, I forgot, I can send DS to sleep with you at the port. I can even download the DCL form for not traveling with the parent form and sign it for you for easy check in. :lmao:

Happy Friday All..........

Love the picture Brenda..........

Thanks for the WONDERFUL PM Rani.......
:hippie:

Looks like i'll have to bring the family size tent. I make a fantastic smore!

However, you did get me thinking, it would be kind of cool to see the ship come in to port one time. Although it might be depressing to look at all of the sad faces leaving!:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

OH NO!!!! another thing to pack...the family tent:rotfl: :rotfl:
I think if I were you I'd leave the tent at home...but now the smore's on the other hand, don't take up much space, and we can all see to it that there isn't anything left to pack back up... LOL!!!!

And yes...I have awakened and am back on the boards!!!!!
So watch out. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Now that my house project, and the holidays are over, I can now focus on our trip!!!!
Can't wait:woohoo: :woohoo:

Brenda! Love the pic!!!!!! You guys look awesome. I'll have to save and print it since I never did get a Christmas card from you. :rotfl:

I miss all you March 1 cruisers!!

However - I am going to the BON JOVI concert on Feb. 28 here in DC; I wouldn't have been able to do that if we were still cruising with y'all.

Ooohhh... we're halfway there
Oh oh! We're livin' on a prayer
Take my hand and we'll make it I swear
Oh oh we're living on a prayer

Johnna, You Rock!!!

... and I come back to find that the thread has been increased in size by about 3 full pages. Now admittedly, most of that was a single post from Michelle (an exaggeration, but only slightly?), which was a bit surprising, as I've never known her to very talkative before!

Okay, I'll fess up right now, I currently know almost none of the details that the rest of you are currently asking for. The reason is that I booked through a travel agent, and basically just took everything in Disney package, instead of booking each piece. I have never done this for any of our WDW or DL trips, but since this was our first time cruising, I figured that one stop shopping would be easiest, even if it meant I wasn't getting the best price or in charge of the details. Also, because of budget concerns (Yes, I realize the apparent contradiction with the previous sentence about not shopping around for the best price), we booked GTY Cat 12.

The result of all this is that we do not know what airline we are flying, what the airline schedule is, when we arrive at port, or what cabin we are in. Supposedly we will recieve all that info before the cruise, and I am taking it on faith that that will be the case. All I know right now is that Disney is supposed to get us on some combination of airplanes that will get us from Omaha to Orlando the day before the cruise, that we are staying the night at the hotel in the airport, that Disney will get us to the port sometime before the cruise departs the next day, and that there will be somewhere for us to sleep on the ship. That the intent of one stop shopping was to make things less stressful is quite ironic given the obvious stress I now experience whenever I have to tell my wife "No, I still don't know our airline schedule or cabin assignment".

There you go, hope to see you on the ship at some point, even if we end up with Boarding Pass No. Infinity-Minus-One.

- Mike

P.S. Michelle, a bit long winded myself, I will admit.

Mike,
I totally didn't pick up all this time that you were from Omaha. My mom used to work and live there -- she loved that Oriental Trading was so close!

Kim,
I don't know if my other message went through that I have not gotten the updated list of DIS cruisers -- so if you could resend it to me if it's gone out.

We got our southwest flights today. They did not go as low as we wanted by far, but they went down $10 and we decided to do it and risk having to get a credit later.

When we went back to the Southwest page two minutes later - it was back up to the original price.....so far, a good decision.

Have a great night,
Rani

Mike,

That would totally freak me out not to know !!! Can't you call your travel agent and get your DCL #. If you did that you could look yourself up on the DCL site, that's what I did.

I just got back from the movies. Madison and I went and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks, it was very cute. We then hit the Dollar Store, got some great stuff for the cruise.

Michelle

Rani,
My wife and I grew up in Omaha, but now live about 3 hours away. We are flying out of Omaha because that is the nearest large (by Nebraska standards) airport, and because we can stay with family before and after the flight.

Micday,
We do have access to our account online through the DCL website, but our flights and cabin have simply not been established by DCL yet. Our online reservation details simply list the departure and arrival dates, and our stateroom is listed simply as "Guaranteed".
