Sorry Tink, still not working for me. I no longer get the small line of gibberish, but I only get a blank screen. I checked to confirm that I have the most recent version of Adobe Flash Player loaded, and even dropped down my security status, but still nothing. Sorry.

And NO, it's not a ploy to keep you from being able to talk with my wife!

Hi everyone. We are going to use the above link to hit the chat boards tonight. 9:00 Central. Who ever gets there first find us a good room and we will find you. If you get there first, come to the threads to post what room. Talkk to you later.:hippie:

OK - here's my personal packing tips:
They all sound kooky, but they work - so this is my only disclaimer -

- make a calendar of events and each day and plan out what will be worn - then you only take what you need; put a copy of that calendar in each suitcase or post it in room (otherwise, you wind up taking stuff to choose from and always have tons left over or are missing something you thought you had.)

- socks/undergarments in shoes to hold shape; shoes wrapped in old shower caps so as not to dirty other items

- stick to basic colors that match each other so you can mix and match peices and change with accent peices (i know the men are laughing because if they're anything like DH, they'd like to wear the same jeans and tshirt every day if society was ok with that)

- I take cleaner's bags with me and as soon as I deem something dirty - it goes in there so we dont have to be bothered with it and as soon as it's full, I stuff it in a suitcase and we're done packing that suitcase

- for this trip, I took shirts for the boys that have matching tanks with collared shirts -- tanks over swim suits or during the day -- put matching shirt over the top. and as you've noted, I'm taking a lot of sleeveless tops to save room and because I hate to be too warm and one sweater coat to go over any of them.

- bought everyone toothbrushes that = out to a $ and stuck them in a ziploc. they're all new, so i didn't put any caps on them. We'll use them for the trip and throw them out before we disembark.

- all the formal outfits are put together on hangars and in the same hanging suitcase - so they just have to be taken off the hangar instead of searching for them. also, as mentioned, the boys will switch belts and ties...and I will wash the dress socks by hand in between the two nights. (I am taking enough to wear and put in Dirty Clothes bag -- I don't want to spend my vacation doing laundry.)

- each person is taking a backpack (mine is a hideous pink and green hibiscus one from llbean - love it!) on the plane with their own stuff for entertainment/change of clothes, hat, etc. That bag will be repacked for anything they need for our time prior to getting into our stateroom -- so i don't have to carry it.

QUESTION
Are you all letting your kids take their digi cameras if they have them? I really don't want them taking them to the clubs and getting broken or lost, and on the beaches there's sand and I'll be with them -- so isn't one main camera with a couple memory cards enough?

That's all I've got for you now.....

Rani

Hey Rani-
You just missed our group chat. It was fun and Mike is the MAN!!!!!!!

No we are not letting our kids take camera, they will for sure get broken or lost in the lab. They move around too much and do not have a lot of time for picture taking. My advice, leave them at home. My DS actaully has his own camera and mini cam corda and no way will I let him take them.

Tink,
loved your emails today -- you should write for passporter.......i'm printing them all out and putting them in my folder!

Rani, your are good!!! Do you hire out? You can pop into our room on the first day, and get us organized , and then maybe, say once a day for the rest of the week;)

shhhh, secret is that i'm far too controlling and not nearly trusting enough to let anyone else do even their own packing -- a blessing and a curse -all at the same time!

Truth be knowen, I think we think alot alike. I am just a HUGE Procrastinator(gosh, I had to use Dictionary.com for that one LOL), so I haven't started anything too much yet.

I too pack for everyone, and have a list of who is wearing what and on what night, although, I do allow them to pick out there own undergarments!!!

I have a fold up traveling clothes hamper, to put all dirty clothes in, and for goodness sakes...if you only wore it once and for only a couple hours/please HANG IT UP!!!! I think my kids will have that inscribed on my tombstone LOL!!!!

The thing I love the most, and keeps me the most organized is the over the door shoe hanger! I know that some are not as crazy about it as I am, but for our family, it worked GREAT! It is clear and so everybody is able see what they are looking for, without rummaging through everything.

As far as camera's go..I'm sure my girls will be bringing theirs, although you are right, it is just another thing to get lost or broke :sad2:

You have got to go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGoelj7l668 and watch this video if you are a mom --- I have been known to turn this on to wake the kids up for school in the morning!

Rani-
I actually TiVoed that lady doing that...... It truly is amazing.....:lmao:

I did a huge post on taking an Autistic child on DCL on the threads and actually had 14 PMs (not that I was counting), telling me to write it for passporters. Thanks for the comments, make me know they are appreciated and not a waste of my time.:thumbsup2 I wonder if people think I am a little off the top when I do them..... So  they help. Maybe I went into the wrong line of work hey?

I too pack for everyone. DH comes to me on the ship and says, "what did you pack to go with these shorts? What am I suppose to be wearing to Brunch? :rotfl2: Quiet Mike, you are not allowed to call me a control freak at this time........ Maybe :rotfl2: Rani and I should go into business together. I will do all the planning and her (you) all the packing.....:hippie:

Hey can we start now, who are we missing ? MAD and Feiste and .....

Michelle

9pm central = 10 pm eastern right ?

I'll try to stay up, I have to be at work tomorrow at 4:30am but I did take a nap. I loved chatting with you guys and it will be even nicer with everyone.

Rani & Brenda,

That is such a great idea, so organized.

Tink,

Great job on the e-mails I bet if you sent them to passporters they will use them. We are flying Airtran, it takes a whole hour and half to fly to MCO.

How long does it take everyone to fly to MCO ??

Michelle

We can go back to the park room if you want. MIC is still on but needs to sleep. We understand.... Rani, Brenda, Mike are we going over?
