Tonight we hosted the Christmas Party for our business at a local restaurant. We are quite small so there were only 14 people in total.

Fancy food, nice elegant place,....... put me right in the mood for the dining rooms on the Magic

I am driving DH crazy with all the information I keep giving him. He is just like book what you want, do what you want and I will just follow along. I have been doing so much reading on everything I think I am on overload.
Got our Birth certificates out of lock box yesterday. They all have raised seals on them, you can feel them but can hardly see them. I was nervous about that. DH got a passport cause his Birth cert. was kind of messed up.
Trying to figure out how to pack though. Went away for the weeknd and ended up with like 3 bags. How am I going to pack for whole week away from home?

We are getting ready for Thanksgiving. Will be a small group this year, just 5 of us, but lots of food and sleeping.

I'm a bit overloaded too. I've read just about everything out there. Passporter book and this site have been the most helpful. My DH is very much like yours. I'm the master coordinator but have decided to sit back and just let it flow a little. We are staying at the Radisson as well the night before. Don't know how late we'll arrive, may spend the day at NASA or finish up Disney World. Definitely doing laundry that night to repack for the cruise- 5 days at Disney, laundry, 4 day cruise. Hopefully that will cut down on packing for 6 people. I'm getting very excited about this whole trip!!! Just a little nervous because DH has not book airfare yet-will probably end up paying more. We'll see, he has a plan. Definitely say a prayer his plan works! We may be shifting dates a little but not the cruise. Thanksgiving is with my side of family (the small side) only about 25 this year. I've already got christmas lights up and will finish inside on Thanksgiving then spending 2 days at our cabin (yeah-snow!)

I just received the shore excursion info from my travel agent. I haven't looked at it yet though.

We have not decided how we are getting there yet??? Driving?? Flying???? I think we better decide soon.

I'm also concerned about packing, because we're flying in the day before and spending the night at the CB, then another 3 nights at CB after the cruise. So I'm thinking we'll need summery clothes for the cruise and wintery clothes for WDW and how am I going to fit all that in 1 suitcase!?! Any ideas?

I got some great news yesterday! I got an e-mail from my travel agent and we've been upgraded from a cat. 12 GTY to a cat. 9 with a porthole! I really wasn't expecting any upgrade at all. It's our first cruise and I was just happy to be on the boat, so a 12 was fine with me, especially for just the two of us. But, I won't turn it down - LOL!

That`s great news, we have a cat 12 gty booked so we`ll see what we get ( though I`m happy with anything!)

Have you ever tried packing using ziplock bags????

You can roll the clothes and put them in the ziplock bags and then squeeze all of the air out of the bag and zip it up. Works really well and saves a LOT of space in the suitcase

Magicmaker1, we too are staying at the Radisson the night before the cruise. We are flying in early that morning, getting in our rental and driving straight to the Radisson.

How do you get an upgraded room? We booked a cat 6 from the beginning back in March.

Ziplock bags?? I will have to think about that. Sounds like a great idea.

We booked our flight weeks ago and got a good deal ( i think). It was $162 roundtrip from chicago to Orlando for each of us. There are six of us traveling.

My best friend and her son are traveling with us (different cabins) and we were just talking today about how close we are getting to leaving. YAY!!
Her name is Mary and she will be traveling with her 10 year old son Jacob.

We received our shore excursion package last week.

We/I decided to do the stingray thing in Nassau and the seahorse snorkel thing at castaway cay.

I must have Disney on the brain as I just called my TA to book a Disney vacation for next Thanksgiving. I figure the kids are out of school for 2 1/2 days that week so we might as well stay at Disney and our business is slow that week as well. We are also going to bring the single mom and her daughter who lives on our farm with us. They could never afford to go and she just had cancer surger and I want to give her and her daughter something special. Her daughter (Kristina) is like our own and she will be 6 years old when we go next year.
I am sooooo excited that I am planning another Disney adventure.
We are going to stay at POP century.

Hi everyone.

I just booked the 2 nights before the cruise at the POP Century!!!

We are pretty sure we will be driving down but will keep an eye on the flights just in case the prices go down (hardly likely that they will)

Anyone planning on going on the Walking & Kayaking tour on Castaway Cay. That looks interesting to me. We might do that

Raining here too - actually a tornado touched down this morning about 10 miles down the road, several buildings destroyed and 1 person reported killed. Very sad, right before Thanksgiving.

We have so much to thank God for! Hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving!

Not raining here but they are calling for snow. That would put a damper on our business this weekend.
We are doing two parades with our horses this weekend and don't need bad weather.

We just arrived home from seeing "Christmas with the Kranks." I give this movie a thumbs up. We really enjoyed it. It's a comedy, with a touching conclusion that had me misty-eyed as we left the theatre.

O.K., now it's time to dig into that pumpkin pie.

We saw it last night with about 20 family members (a Thanksgiving tradition). It was Hilarious!!! I'd also recommend it if you like comedies. BTW, I've read the book it's based on and it sticks pretty closely to the storyline, but the book wasn't as funny.

I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving. We are also driving down, unless I find really good flight prices and staying at Pop Century on the 2 days before the cruise, but we are visiting Universal, my girls haven't done that in a few years. Going into Philadelphia with a couple of the children I take care of to see the "light show" and Dickens Christmas Carol display. Have a good weekend all.
