Thanks for all of your hard work on the Palo dinner & I hope you get the stateroom that you want.

Few quick questions:

Your opinion on those of us that want to 'double-dip' on the Palo night - will we be able to do this & still see the last show?

Is the GTR the same as the GTY & can you explain exactly how that works, please?

I do not know what time the shows are so I can not answer your question on the double dip-sorry.

Sorry-I meant to say GTY. I know that if someone cancel's in a cat 4 I will be assigned to that room. If no one cancel's ( which I do not forsee as I am sure there will be one) than you could get bumped into a higher cat. - if that was available-but it is very rare as I have been told. I heard through one of the CM's that they always hols a few rooms back for last minute booking?????? We shall see.. I will let you know what happens. Gail

So, you don't actually have a stateroom assigned - you are just in limbo waiting for a room to be released in the category that you requested - is that correct? I always thought GTY'ers had a cabin already & were just waitlisted for another - guess not?

O.K. you 1-4-05 cruisers, Hazel and I are back in. We were able to get everything straightened out and I contacted DCL this past Saturday and booked this cruise(again). I also contacted Gail on Saturday and Hazel and I were added for the DIS group Palo Dinner on the final night of the cruise. It's been a couple of trying weeks, but everything is on the upswing now!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome back!!!

I surprised Hazel with the news today when I came home for lunch. Hazel was feeling a bit blue before I showed her a copy of our reservation, after she read the reservation, she was beeming from ear to ear. I was going to wait until Christmas and surprise her then, but today was "THE" right day to spring the surprise.

Yesterday, after church, we went to our favorite Chinese Restaurant. At the end of the meal our server brought us our fortune cookies. Hazel opened her fortune cookie and this is what it said, "There is a prospect of a thrilling time ahead for you." I started to smile and almost told her about the cruise then, but I bit my tounge and kept quiet. My fortune cookie read, "You like sunshine and fresh air." Again, I started to smile, I quickly left the table to get a second dessert so I didn't spill the beans. At least now the cat is out of the bag!!!

I am so excitied.
I'm doing the dance. We secured the guarntee for CAT 4. We shall see what cabin we end up with. I am surprising the family with it. It is only a little larger than the CAT 5 - but with two young children who for sure need the space-I will take it.:TTYL-Gail

Thanks to Gail, there is a Palo's dinner reserved for 6pm on 1/7/05 in the private dining room. All seats are currently filled.

Everyone (children included) is invited to a DIS meet & greet in TammiMcMan's stateroom on 1/4/05 (embarking day) to match up faces with DIS screen names. Right now it's an open house planned for 5pm-6pm in stateroom 8532. We'll firm up as the date gets closer.

On the 10 night Holiday cruise that I was originally on before we switched over they have someone getting t shirts made. That would be cool. Even Baseball hats would be cool. Some kind of ID would be great.

Yes the Palo dinner is full.

I don't think the children's clubs will be open for children staying there at that time.

They will still be doing registrations, I think?

An old navigator I have says the club is open from 12:30 - 3 :15pm and 4:30 - 6 pm to confirm your child's participation. I think means it is probably open after that for general use.

Thanks for the DIS meet and greet invite!!!

Hazel and I will probably be wearing, the lime green t-shirts I made for our first cruise, on embarkation day. Of course, they could be under a sweatshirt or jacket depending on the air temp.

Gail, I'm not sure about the kids clubs. I know that they are open for registration and sort of an open house from 5:15-7pm, but I don't know if they'll be ready to sign kids in yet. My guess is that most counsellors are assisting with registration. Everyone is definitely more than welcome to bring their children along to the meet and greet. In fact, it's a great way for them to maybe hook up and make friends.
