01/04/05 4 Day Magic Roll Call

Hi everyone.

I know you must think I am nuts with all my obsessing on the cabin. Well this am I went on line to DCL and a mid ship cabin opened on deck 7 so DCL reservations moved us into 7554 and that is where we will stay. It is not a connecting room and we wanted to be close to the elevators and two flights down is the children's program. I am so excitied. We went on Carnival for 4 nights this past July and we were right near the elevators and we liked the location.
When we were going on the 10 night holiday cruise-I had set up a brunch in the private room of Palo's that holds 14 people. I also set up tables for us on early dining. I was lucky to request the tables near the windows. We are now on late seating. Would you all be intrested in doing the Brunch at Palo's??? Since we are a small group I thought it would be nice for a get togehter. It was hard on the 10 night to do as I thought I would get a lot of tables but they were kind enough to give me seating for 20. We had a table of 6 right outside the private room.
If you are up for this I will call DCL to see if the private room is still available or if we could get two large tables next to each other. Let me know-you can pm me or e mail me at gail17@optonline.net

Hello fellow cruisers, I just thought to look to see if anyone else was going on this cruise. I have enjoyed reading all of your posts. My family and I will be on this cruise. We are Sherry, Chuck, Stephanie (22), and Tara (18). We took this cruise last year at approximately this time without my dh. He had a heart incident and since the doctors weren't sure what happened they didn't want him to travel. We didn't postpone because we had other family members taking the cruise. We are really looking forward to all of us experiencing the ship at the same time. My girls have seen the Wonder, but not the Magic. Have a great Wednesday.

Hi Sherry-I got you e mail. I am going to leave the reservation Mgr. a voice mail as I heard she is away. As soon as I hear I will let you know.

Anyone else intrested in the brunch if I can get the private room for 14 or 2 large tables??

If this is anyone's first cruise-the brunch is wonderful. It is usually the day we are at sea. It is for adults only-18 years and older.
We are going to put our children in the children's program that morning. The brunch is usually areound 10:30am. I will check to confirm the time.

Let me know if you would like to join us. You can pm or e mail me.

Havwe a great day everyone. TTYL-Gail

I love the brunch!!! I totally intend to do it. Let me know if you are able to get the group ressie ahead of time.

Welcome, Sherry. Glad to have you along with all of us.

Gail, I sent you an e-mail. A brunch sounds great. Thanx for organizing it.

Hi everyone!
I was hoping to do the brunch and would love to get together with a group, since I'd be by myself, Gail, so please sign me up!

(I haven't posted in awhile, so for the new ones, I'm Lisa and I'll be on the cruise with my DD14 for a Mom/Daughter trip.)

I'm really getting excited about it! It'll be her first cruise and my 2nd (first was about 12 years ago, not Disney). I can't wait for her birthday to tell her.

It's cool and rainy here in Alabama today, but it feels great to me because I don't like hot weather.

Have a Happy Wednesday!

Hi everyone. Lets keep our fingers crossed and lots of pixie dust that the private room for the Palo bruch will be available or that they ok 2 large tables next to each other. I left a message for Debbie( she handls the ressie's for this). I will let you know as soon as I hear. Her voice mail indicates that she is away at the moment so it might be a few days or next week when I hear.

Hi sherry, nice to have you and your family joining us.

Our daughter is 17 (will be 18 in May), and will be coming with us.

I will have to think about the Palo brunch although it sounds like a great idea. I will talk to my husband but we have friends also that are going on the cruise, so I don't know what will happen for sure.

I don't know about anyone else, but it is starting to feel more real that we are going. As Christmas comes nearer the excitement for the cruise is starting to build :teeth:

Wow....just read the entire thread!!!

I hope you don't mind my posting...we are not booked yet but I am hoping to get on this sailing. I love the fact that the Magic is doing 4 days, I was going to book the wonder and then saw this sailing..... We actually just got off the Magic on 10/2 (the hurricane Jeanne shortened cruise). Wound up taking cover at the polynesian during the hurricane!!!

This would be our 12th DCL cruise and I already have airfare booked with Delta...coming down on the 2nd. I have to see if we can swing the cruise...we are visiting my FIL in Florida but hope to get on the cruise as well.

It would be me and hubby and our three kids....our kids love the cruise...we were lucky enough to be on the Maiden Voyage of the Magic back on July 30, 1998 and have been hooked since. The kids have not been on since May of 2003 as hubby and I have taken 2 cruises without them in Feb and Sept. The two older ones will be on college break but my youngest will miss a week of H.S.

Well...hope to be able to join you all!!!

MJ

Hi everybody

I went out to lunch today in a million dollar car

It was a 1932 Duesenberg. Very cool car and sooooo big!!!!

I have included a link to a picture of a car that looks just like the one I rode in. The only difference is the one I was in was black and red. The windshield in the back is neat!!!

I did my "queenly" wave from the backseat to some older gents who were sitting on a bench when we drove by :teeth: They were probably wondering, who in the heck is that
