So glad that you and your group are going to be sailing with the rest of us. We are getting quite a crowd
My daughter is 17. This will be her 5th
Disney cruise and 1
RCCL cruise. If you check on this thread there is at least one other 17 year old girl going.
I really wouldn't worry about your son being bored. My daughter loves to cruise. She doesn't always like to do the scheduled events for the teens but she always finds some new friends that she can connect with and just hang out around the ship. She does a mix of scheduled activities and just hanging around talking with her new cruise friends.
I think that after dinner on the first night, you will hardly see your son again until it is time to go home.
Make sure that he attends the 411 teen meet the first night of the cruise. This is a get together so the teens can meet each other. This is a good chance to see if there is anyone he can connect with to make his cruise fun.
What kind of guy is your son???? Quiet, shy, outgoing, funloving???
I think that we are going to drive down to Port Canaveral for this cruise. We have done it both ways, flying or driving. It just works out this time to make driving possible, with it falling at the end of the Holiday time. It takes us 19 hours of just driving time to get to Orlando, not including any stops along the way.
When we have flown, we always fly into Orlando and rent a car and drive over to the coast. If possible you should consider flying in the day before and staying over. This gives you a little cushion of time, in case there are weather problems etc. Once we sat on the runway at the airport for over 2 hours, while they closed the airport, opened the airport, de-iced the plane and still sat. That is very nerve wracking when you have a ship to meet.
Once again, glad you are coming with us, if you have anymore questions, I will try to help you with some answers
