The conventional wisdom on the board is to be in a state of perpetual borrowing. However, if you can manage to be in a state of perpetual banking, you can accomplish the same thing without needing to own extra points. This is a good reason to e.g. forgo Magical Beginnings.

Seems like no matter what time of year you're looking for, someone is going to pipe up and say it's a busy time for DVC. LOL. It's just funny to me.

The truth is with the explosion of renting, studios are getting snapped up faster than ever because people can often rent a DVC deluxe studio cheaper than paying cash for a moderate. If you want to stay in studios, take advantage of your home resort priority and be thankful if you can get anything else.
