“The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” Opening May 27, 2025 at DHS

We will be in HS 5/29- please post your experiences with these shows, theatre size, wait times, and so on. I know this community will be my best source of how to plan to see them both, hopefully without waiting over one performance length! Which we don’t know yet!

Definitely will, so far the plan is to try and catch it in the evening after our midday break since showtimes run pretty late and we are doing Savi's at 6:25.

Show times are listed on WDW site. It looks like 🧜‍♀️ is running continuously??

Villains have a set time.

Possibly these shows are opening without LL even though they were first displayed as LL available and, the LM sign has LL return times. Could be added later.

Saw the first show of Little Mermaid this morning. Really liked it a lot. I was able to get into a CM preview of The Villian show last Thursday. I liked that show too, it Little Mermaid is the winner.

They will be offering lightning lanes for Little Mermaid. Just don’t know when they will start. This is what the CMs told me.

I wonder if Little Mermaid will be open during Early Entry.

Saw the first villains show this morning but no luck with mermaid with those crazy standby waits. This may be one to rope drop in the immediate future. We’re going to try again after our break or come back another day.

Thanks for the near live update. They did indicated it would be open slightly after park opening but no indication if this includes Early Entry.

I’m not sure about EE on this one but we started down Sunset as usual so we weren’t able to see Mermaid procedures. Villains they were lining people up during EE between the lines for RNRC and Tower. But again not sure if that will be a thing after today since they just had the additional early Villain shows for today.

I’m on my way to the park. Just looked at MDE and saw wait was listed as 60 min and DAS available for it. Might be different when I get in the park. Earlier this morning, DAS wasn’t popping up for it. Playing it by ear.

I got to watch The Little Mermaid A Musical Adventure on Youtube today and I can say that this new show is a different show than what Voyage Of The Little Mermaid was. For one thing it seems to use CGI characters and why Disney did this i'll never figure out. Like King Triton was a CGI character and the show's backdrops are the actual movie backdrops. The songs are very short and in the Part Of Your World song they actually put the reprise at the end and Prince Eric appears. And certain scenes are not featured like the shipwreck and Ariel in Prince Eric's castle and the final battle with Ursula is missing and the wedding of Eric and Ariel is omitted from the show as well. The songs of The Little Mermaid A Musical Adventure are great but they seem weak. Like where is the whole version of Poor Unfortunate Souls and they did a short version of it and where is Le Poissons? But the Daughters Of Triton song is done really well and also Kiss The Girl is well done too but Under The Sea was weak in my eyes. I think what Disney tried to do with this The Little Mermaid show is make a 2020's update of Voyage Of The Little Mermaid but at least the Flounder character is an actual character but using CGI characters of Sebastian and King Triton just feels out of place in this show and the Ursula character is creepy and weird
I think this show will be successful but not last long because I think they are trying to gain new fans of The Little Mermaid when this show was in development
My Grade: A for show C for songs
