Thank you!!
I thought it might be difficult to get a good viewing spot for Hocus Pocus, so yes, planning for both. And if we get a great view the first time, we can always skip the midnight show. I wanted to fit in another parade, too, but that was... not the best plan. I'm happy it's just the two of us, and we can be flexible to match Disney's last-minute scheduling.
The trick or treating is more of a mood setter for us cuz neither of us likes candy that much, but I will have a teal bag and am kinda excited about those treats. Would the as-you-go method cause a lot of added waiting time, do you think?
I would do Hocus Pocus at midnight because you will not be using "party time" to see it and it's less crowded so getting an excellent view won't be an issue.
Trick or Treat lines start at 7pm. When you pick up your first prepacked goodies at the bypass you can ask for two, I've done this. Trick or Treat lines tend to stay long until 11pm so yes, it's time consuming. Exchanging the Teal Tokens will be a bit problematic during your Oct 25th party. CM's give so much of these goodies during the earlier parties that the options become few. What they do have on hand you will be limited to 2 of this, 1 of that and a handful of Smarties and foam craft projects for young children, think Oriental Trading Co.

If you enjoy Smarties a lot, then you'll be good to go.
I like watching both parades first in Frontierland and the other on Main Street but Disney changed the times on the entertainment and made it nearly impossible to do both with all the other stuff most had on their Wish List. I really hope they change it this year to the way it was. So for now, we need to be patient and wait for this info to be released.
