“Dreams Come True Momma!” A 2 year old’s first trip ~ May 2015~Complete {NEW TR LINK!}

So new updates in the drama...They are sending it back to underwriting. The 3 day count down to a close date won't be able to start until tuesday at the earliest.

Having to explain to the 3 year old why christmas in the new house more than likely won't happen at this point is up there as one of the worst things I have ever had to do as a parent. I am really really really HATING the procrastinators at the credit union right now. Promising it could happen and then slacking on getting the paperwork done to make it possible and waiting so long that you ruin that chance. It's just not okay. My child is downstairs heartbroken over a ruined christmas and I am powerless to fix it.

So sorry you are having such troubles and that Little Miss is so sad. I can sort-of relate as we have been in the process of refinancing for months and it's just dragging on and on and on...and I'm very nervous because our rate lock expiration date has now passed and nobody is getting back to me as to whether or not that is a problem. We locked in a low rate and got everything to them immediately - so I get your frustration. Best of luck!

Oh no!! I'm so sorry!!! It's a real pain and stinks when your child is dissappointed. I'm sure you will have a special Christmas wherever you are though!! Hang in there!!

Grrrr.... Don't you just wish that you'd have the opportunity for payback?
"Yes, Mrs. Gracefulskinny? Hi, we really need you to fill in that review so I can get my bonus. It has to be in by today. You promised you'd have it done by then. Hello??"

That sucks that they have pushed back your date. Maybe you can buy a small prelit fake tree no decorations so Santa still has somewhere too put presents. Next Christmas put it in your daughters room and let her decorate it. Merry Christmas. Enjoy your new house when you get in it.

Oh my gosh! Those are just precious! Every meet and greet you've had has been phenomenal!
We certainly had some good luck with that for sure!

I'll guess you try meeting with Jasmine and Aladdin, but end up riding the Jungle Cruise or Magic Carpets instead.
:rolleyes1

He seems to be first a lot. Maybe he just bounces faster than the other characters.
I think he is the first released.

:laughing: Star struck.
::yes::

::yes::

Atta girl! You bounce, girl!
:bounce::thumbsup2

Dang. Good choice, though.
Thank you.

Your first time? Did you know beforehand that you'd "fly"?
I believe that it was you talking about your love of the ride on your last TR that convinced me not to skip the ride and to give it a shot. :thumbsup2

Right across at IASW!
:scratchin

Dang it! I really would've guessed IASW, too. I've had a rough week, so I'm just catching up now.
::yes::

Gotcha... Off to peruse the photos...
Happy perusing!

And a song stuck in our heads for the next... oh... it's still stuck, right?
Nah, because you start to build up an immunity to it when your little one is singing it EVERY DAY! :faint::hyper:

:scratchin::yes::

Keeping fingers crossed for you guys.
:thanks:

Nope. That would be me.
Nope sorry, your title of the head of Procrastinator's anonymous has been stolen. They definitely get the award! ::yes::

:sad2: I really was going with Tiana, too. But only because I had no idea and everyone else seemed to think so.
Ah, well.
Ya snooze ya lose.

Which is funny since snoozing was just about the last thing I got to do during the last week!
:sad1:

He did!
For some reason I really like this next one.
Something about Little Miss running and all you see is the hand out in greeting.
I just love the running shots. They always end up some of my absolute favorites.

Although this one's a close second.
::yes::

Try to meet Ariel, but the line's not moving so you ride Under the Sea instead.
:scratchin

Ohana is our absolute favorite meal on property. So sorry you didn't love it as much this time! Little Miss looks way excited to be eating there!!
It was still tasty just not quite as good. I suspect that the time might play a part in that as well. the first time we ate there it was closer to 8pm not quite as busy.

I absolutely adore the pre-park pictures. She is so photogenic, and I just love her outfit. She looks like she had a great time at Crystal Palace, heck I love the Pooh characters (and his french toast... yum) so I can only imagine how much a 2 year old would love it.
:thanks:

Whew, I step away for a few days and miss all kinds of updates!
I knew this week was going to be a bit on the crazy side and wanted to post some early. The Moving truck is still scheduled for Sunday after all. I won't post any other updates on the situation... I don't want to jinx anything! pixiedust:

Great morning. We always love Crystal Palace, especially pre-rope-drop. Great character interaction and tasty food. Definitely a bargain when you have a under-3-year-old.
::yes::

Funny to read about Peter Pan, since Izzy and I just read a little Peter Pan storybook tonight (while wearing pirate hats and she "battled" Hook's picture w/her little toy sword).
:thumbsup2

Great meet with Tiana - you can see how thrilled Little Miss is. Very cute!
That was one of our favorite meets of the trip I think.

'll guess you were going to Jungle Cruise, but ride the Magic Carpets instead.
:scratchin

Good luck with your closing!
:wizard::wizard::wizard::thanks:

I loved the Tiana and Naveen's meet in greet. They were the most fun and charismatic. I'm sad I missed them this year so I guess it will a priority for next!
Just cute pictures with Tiana! Little Miss looks like's having a ball! Was this as memorable as it looked?
Indeed it was! One of our favorite meets of the trip!

Next up...meet more princess...Jasmine and Aladdin and if not...jungle cruise!
:rolleyes1

Looking forward to movin on up to the top! woohoo!
:yay:

So sorry your closing date keeps getting moved. I'm sure you'll make the best of Christmas no matter where you are. Just enjoy your time together and watching your little one's eyes twinkle.

Yay me!

Nah, because you start to build up an immunity to it when your little one is singing it EVERY DAY! :faint::hyper:

Oh My God!!!!! :faint:

Nope sorry, your title of the head of Procrastinator's anonymous has been stolen. They definitely get the award! ::yes::

They stole it?!?! Well, I'm just going to have to get it back!

Tomorrow.

I just love the running shots. They always end up some of my absolute favorites.

Yes!

I'm so sorry that nothing seems to be working out. It's terrible customer service on their part, but by this point, you're pretty much stuck between a rock and a hard place without much recourse. I hope that things start to work out and move forward quickly!

And try not to let it ruin Christmas for you! I still think you can enjoy Christmas in your new home! You don't have to be fully moved in to do that and make some new memories!

Pretty much nailed it on the head. The best I can do is to give caution to family members who have been considering working with them.

Actually, you can do better -- leave a bad review on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website for your area, and if they have a customer feedback section on their website, put it there too. You can do it in a professional manner and still get the message across to warn others of their inability to deliver on promises'/customer service, and in the end this could hurt their bottom line.

Oooo I like the way you think! :thumbsup2

Anything new today? I was hoping to hear some definitive news today.

I know how you feel...when I bought my house 20 years ago, I swore I would die in this house...I was not moving again. Too much stress. Now I will say, if I win the lottery and can buy a house in Golden Oaks, then I will move again. :)

So I spent my lunch hour over the last two days reading the entire report so far. First off, I am so very sorry that you've had so many ups and downs lately. Hopefully, when you ring in 2016, you'll be in your new house and all settled in for the new year.

Now on to the good stuff, Little Miss is absolutely adorable and I can tell that she is having the time of her life on this trip. Her smile says it all. While I did read all of the updates, there is simply no way that I could comment on it all but I can say htat I'm all caught up and ready for more.

Because many are asking... News was received yesterday and from what we can tell its pretty definative, however we don't want to jinx anything. So if all goes according to plan I should have news for you Friday about 10am. :rolleyes1pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

The pictures sure show the excitement. I love the pictures of her running up to Tiana.
She is indeed my expressive girl!

I was going to ask where he was. Sorry you missed him, but it definitely looks like Little Miss was perfectly happy with meeting Tiana.
He only meets in the afternoons apparently.

Jasmine

Magic Carpets
:rolleyes1

You tried to do the seven mine train ride but went instead to Haunted Mansion
:rolleyes1

Adorable meet with Princess Tiana!!! I've never seen her before in the Parks...going to put that on our "Disney Must Do List" :) I'm going to guess you went over to Storybook Circus
She is kinda tucked away and easy to miss, but really worth tracking down!

And I love the idea of prepping Christmas cookies now and baking later. Hopefully you start feeling better so you can make it happen.
Here's hoping that the dough works out alright. I've got it in the freezer but my mom seems convinced that it won't work.

Tianna isn't one of the top princesses for our kids, but I have to say, on a past trip, the meet we had with her and Naveen was probably the best one we had all trip - certainly the one that exceeded expectations the most! Definitely suggest for a future trip you try to meet when Naveen is there!
Its on the list for March!

Those are some great pictures from the meet - just love how you can read the excitement on Little Miss' face!
She is quite photogenic isn't she?

Hope you feel better and things get settled with the new home!
:thanks: Here's hoping!pixiedust: At least I'm mostly better.

Great pics with Tiana!! Loving your TR. So sorry you've got a cold...hope it doesn't last long!
:thanks:

Sorry you're sick - I know how you feel. I've been home all week with what turned out to be pneumonia. :sick:
Yuck! Hope you're better now!!!

I hope you are feeling better and prepping Christmas cookies and getting all set for your move! :goodvibes
Dough is in the freezer, we will see how it turns out on the other end. My mom wasn't overly confident it would work okay.

47 pages later I'm hopping on the official I'm reading your tr train!
:dancer::wave::welcome: :thanks:for reading!

I'm going in September with my 3 year old. So I'm really excited to read about how you guys decided to take mid day breaks. I'm thinking it was going to be a must do on our trip. It sounds like you've been really busy and faced many losses lately and a lot of stressful situations. One Mom to another my heart goes out to you
You know I'll say this about naps. It takes such a large chunk out of your day that there were times were DH and felt it may not have been worth it. The rest days however, they were greatly needed. You know your kid though. You can do what I am doing in prep for march. Find some exciting High stimulus situations and observe how your kid handles the situation. Take a few weeks purposefully skip naps and see what happens. It will give you an idea of their limits.

Prayers and pixie dust your way!
:thanks:

Positive vibes you got everything you needed
:thanks:

Oh man! That bites!
Deep breaths... This will happen!
:thanks:

Lenders.... UGH! :crazy2:

Oh no!! I'm so sorry!!! It's a real pain and stinks when your child is dissappointed. I'm sure you will have a special Christmas wherever you are though!! Hang in there!!
A few on Facebook reminded me of the Grinch who stole Christmas. It applied to our situation surprisingly well.

Just joining in. This seems like such an awesome trip. Can't wait for more!
:wave::welcome::thanks:for reading!

Grrrr.... Don't you just wish that you'd have the opportunity for payback?

I am right there with you! If I never have to move again it will be too soon! :thumbsup2:faint:

:wave: Hi! Thanks for joining in! :welcome: and indeed this year has seemed rather Roller Coaster like and DH and I can't decide if that comparison is in a good way or Bad. It is what it is I suppose.
