Good Afternoon All:

All is good here in Southern Missouri. It's raining and we all have stuffy noses. But its better than that dirty word, S**W.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts about mom. She is busily getting all her stuff around so that she can relax while she recovers. Yah right my mother never relaxes. This may force her to. I'm sure I will be called to help get up the xmas tree the weekend we get back from vacation.

I tried on my formal again last night. Um, yah well that isn't going to work if I want to eat or drink ANYTHING in the days before formal night. So I went today at lunch to look for another dress. Maybe I'm getting old but everything seemed a little to short for me. David's Bridal and JP Penny were both strike outs. Then off to Dillards. I walked to the Adult women dresses (not the Jr. department where I started) and there she was. I thought there is no way I can fit into that, but what the heck. I closed my eyes, slipped the dress on. Did the shimmy to make it hang right and low and behold she fit. It's not as formal as I would have wanted but..... One less thing to worry about.

My desk is beginning to look better, one less pile now.

DH and I were talking about getting to the ship around 1ish, check in and then be able to go straight to our rooms. What is everyone else's plans for that morning?

We are at the Hyatt the night before, and after we get in shortly after midnight (*and call Darcy so she knows we made it ok and she's not worried )
we will try to get some sleep. I imagine we will be on the first bus they let us on! I don't think I will sleep much that night anyway, since I have to be up at 4 for work, I may pass out...ya never know!

I'm not so patiently waiting for the mailman...he hasn't come yet...it was almost 7:30 last night....
So I went in and changed our hold mail from starting on Saturday to starting on Friday! I don't want to risk it being late like that and we are gone...it was 6:30 on Monday!

Very excited I grabbed the mail today before DD got home from school. Cruise docs have arrived!!!!!

I decided to go out shopping today. I have been looking for a new dress for formal night-striking out everywhere. I didn't take one in Aug since we were only on a 5 night, and I have lost a lot of weight since last 7 night a year ago, so not much fits. I was hoping to find a nice short sleeved black cocktail dress so I could wear formal night annd also DH 10 year WDW anniversary party next Tues. I am going to Sea World with DD 1st grade class tomorrow, and I work Fri. No more shopping without the kiddo as she is on vacation next week. May be I will be brave and take her with me. Still haven't told her we're going on a cruise!

I just bit the bullet and ordered a waterproof kodak video camera. I think someone else has one on here (Kodak Playsport), it was on sale at Target, but I decided to check Amazon and it was $25 less on Amazon (and free shipping). SO....will have to sneak that one by DH.

It's video, but you can then "snap" a still photo from it. Since I want to use it for snorkling the video may give me better options. It was actually VERY reasonable, even sprung for the floating wrist strap so I don't lose it at the bottom of CC.

I was very bad with work today (work 1/2 day at home on Wed & Fri) and didn't get much done which means tomorrow will be awful. sigh. Need to make my grocery list for the Wii Just Dance house party on Saturday and will be cooking/baking that day as we are going to the hockey game on Friday night where DD and DS (and their 4th grade chorus) wil be singing. Never a dull moment around here!

Tomorrow is officially single digits still the sail date - this is coming up fast, and I just hope that the week ON the ship doesn't go by this quickly!

Tonya - So sorry to hear about your mom. My thoughts are with you and your family! And, yes, I'm just counting my lucky stars that it's not s**wing here!!

Chris - Can't say we're huge Niners fans, but we're huge football fans. I alreay have Sunday & Monday night football on our calendars, so see you at Rock 'n Bar D. (I think that's where they're broadcasting it.)

I'm a GB Packer fan, so I will be in Diversions Sunday afternoon...although since we're in Key West, I may just settle for score updates or catch at a bar on Duval. Hubby is a NE Patriot fan, and his team plays Thanksgiving, and not again until the day after we get off the ship :-( Last year I got to catch the Packer game on the Ariel view tv...sweet!

I just finished up all my Fe's and have them packed and ready to ship out tomorrow. I'm going to ship them to our hotel. Can't believe we leave in just 3 more days! yikes I better finish my packing. The kids are watching the travel channel disney cruise show right now getting ready for our 1st ever cruise! Woo Hoo!!!

Ah when it rains, it pours.

I truly have a need for this vacation now. We just left the surgeons office with my mom. She has pre-evasive breast cancer. Good news is no chemo, bad news is radiation. The Doctor was nice enough to schedule her surgery BEFORE I left on vacation. I think the next week will make me enjoy this vacation even more. So if you would be so kind to keep her in your thoughts and prayers. We go to the hospital on Friday morning at 5:30 a.m.

Other than that today has been great. I have to head to Hallmark this evening, im sure there's a "It sucks that you have breast cancer card" for her.

Cross your fingers for me.

Tonya, so sorry to hear about your Mom. Greg and I will keep her and your family in our prayers. I hope all goes well on Friday .
