Hi Heather and welcome to the group. This is our second cruise but first FE experience.

I must say that I love reading peoples trip reports and yours was GREAT!!! The whole salad situation had me laughing!!! It is neat to hear about other peoples trips.

We are getting closer, which means that winter is getting closer as well and i am not ready for the snow that will be here...

We have started our FE gifts, but will have to create a plan B for some as we ran out of supplies and the stores are out as well. Oh well, I have a couple of other ideas as well.

thanks for reading it! It was SO FUNNY. We were DYING laughing. My cheeks and stomach were killing me that night from laughing. And, everytime the waiter would tell us the specials we all nodded and listened then he would walk away and all go "do you have any idea what he jsut said!!??"

so, first problem, well, disapointment. I pulled out a pretty formal dress tow ear from college (only 5-6 years ago) adnd I tried it on..and its too small! GAH! hopefully I have enough time to remedy this problem. We will see what happens...

ok I am back. We are moving next week so things are CRAZY right now. Thank you SO MUCH to everyone for letting us be added to the FE List! We had a blast doing this in June!
I actually JUST finished my double dip TR, you can go check it out on the TR cruise board, it's titled: "EAT YOUR SALAD!" you can't miss it...really.. haha!

we will for sure be dressing up on formal night. I love it!
We will probably do paradise beach on cozumel as we have done that before
probably just wander around Key west
still not sure what to do for free/cheap on grand canyman. thoughts?

Just take a taxi to 7 Mile Beach (ask to go to Seagrape Beach) you can either just plop a towel down and hang out - or rent chairs. There is also a restaurant there.

We are going to the Marriott. They sell day passes and it allows you to use their pool and beach chairs, etc.

we called the hotel a while back and I THINK it was $12/per person - it was definitely under 20.

Good Evening All:

My what busy cruisers you have all been. I've been lurking but have not been able to post today. I'm sitting at my office right now (yep its 9:45 PM here) waiting for my son to get out of his Homecoming dance. Its easier for me to go to the office than go home and then drive all the way across town to come get him 2 hours later.

We are really looking forward to meeting you all and are enjoying getting to know all of you through your posts.

My FE gifts are on hold right now. We have a soccer tournament both Saturday and Sunday. Since we are "senior" (and I mean older) referees we are required to work our feet to the nubs. So pray for me tomorrow night when I can't walk from running sprints all day. I'll need pixie dust to get out of bed on Sunday morning.

I wish everyone a great weekend with beautiful weather and if the mood so strikes you, a cold one in your hand.

Good Morning! 6 weeks from today we step onto that lovely ship!!!

Darcy, I know what you mean. Work has been insane...and I can't help but feel it's to make sure I am too exhausted to enjoy my cruise!
I can't wait to meet the other Stephanie. When I was growing up, I was the only one, now it's much more common a name! Lots of people call me Steph if that helps....

Today is a day of grocery shopping, getting my hair cut and working on FEs. Have to cut the grass (maybe for last time?) sometime this weekend. Probably the kids will come over on Sunday for dinner so no FE work then and of course that never-ending horrible chore....

Off to take my shower then the salon and commissary...have a great Saturday, everyone! I just realized! I will have to change my next haircut appointment...I will be walking onto that ship instead!

I just realized! I will have to change my next haircut appointment...I will be walking onto that ship instead!

Too funny....my haircuts (and that natural highlighting) appointments have all been scheduled around the cruise! Can't get it cut too close to the cruise, because it's always better a week or two later.

I also need to make appointmetns for the kids' haircuts, but that has to wait until softball & flag football are over. This is the last weekend for softball, but we still have 3 more game for flag football.

I have made NO progress on my FE gifts. Still need to change over all the clothes and start packing away for the cruise, but that always takes a long time and I never seem to have quite enough all at the same time. Okay, if I stop posting here, perhaps I would have time before the games today.

Enjoy the weekend everyone. SO excited that 6 weeks from today we will be in Florida and soon heading to port!

I hope everyone is having a good weekend! I just came home from CA last night. It was a long day of flying and airports. I arrived at the San Diego airport at 6:00 am and arrived in Cleveland at 6:30 pm. It's nice to be home.

I'm looking forward to catching up on all the posts that I missed! But I'll have to do it inbetween all the laundry that piled up while I was away this week.

Tonya - I hope you have time for a cold one after your tournament!!

Michelle - B2B on the Magic sounds wonderful.

The Promenade at 2:30 or 3:00 sounds perfect for our meet. I agree that the pool gets crowded and loud. It could be hard to find our group. The Promenade is usually pretty empty.

I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone!

Is anyone else having issues getting to the private messages? All day if I try to view my new message it says the boards are down for 2 hours for upgrade. This started at 8 this morning, so I know the 2 hours are up. I've deleted all my cookies, clearned my history, logged out and back on, everything I can think of.

Other suggestions?

Froze at DS's flag football game (he caught a pass for a TD ) but we still lost by 2 points in the last 15 seconds of the game.

Now making more hot chocoalte for DD's softball game at 4:00. I'm sure that will be even colder as the sun has gone behind HUGE clouds.

Hoping no one minds I copied the cruise logo over to my signature. We really aren't leaving leftovers behind (our Thanksgiving is in October) but what the heck, we will be in WDW for Thanksgiving so I guess it could count for us!

Annabel - congrats on finishing your FEs!!!

DD and I cleaned out the refrigerator and took apart all of the drawers and shelves. I hate that job. The shelves and drawers come out so easily and they're a nightmare to get back in. I don't know what happens .

I also cleaned out the pantry. I was horrified by the number of open bags of chips, crackers and snacks!! What a waste!! The bags were closed with a clip but the contents were stale.

DD and I also started packing her luggage for the trip. We having a hard time finding something for her to wear on formal night. The girls size 16 dresses are too small or short and the teen dresses seem a little inappropriate IMHO . We'll keep looking.

Tomorrow two football games and two soccer games.

I have been on a B2B before and it is awesome! I am really excited to get to do it again.
Thanks for the welcome, we are really excited. My mom and sister decided to join us on this cruise too, so we will be crazy together. My oldest son is 17 and will be leaving the house soon with college, etc, so these last few family vacations will be very special...glad to have other family along with us to enjoy it.

Hi Laura - I was finally able to get into my PM this morning, so I added your info to the list and just emaield it out to the group. I knew that PM was from you!!!

We have DD's last softball game of the season today. Yesterday it was COLD at football and a little warmer (less windy) at softball, so hoping it won't be too bad today. I pulled out shorts and polos for DS for the cruise, but DD's room and mine are too daunting when I don't have a lot of time. I think that will be the next 2 weekends. I hate that job!

AND..I also hate cleaning out the fridge and pantry! It's so very scary to see what I can find at the back of the pantry and when the expiration dates were!

Off to catch up on some DVR shows while the kids play Wii before the game.
