~ºoº November 27, 2010- Western Magic! ºoº~

That's great :goodvibes With 6 months still to go I'm sure we'll have some new people stopping in.

:banana: I'm doing the happy dance today :dance3: As I managed to get all the ADR's that I wanted. This is the first trip where I've been able to get Le Cellier, super-excited to finally get to eat there! :woohoo:

Congrats on scoring LeCellier!

Don't worry - I will exceed 10 posts soon. I love the message boards prior to cruises. On our last Princess Cruise we had such a great group on cruise critic. We seriously took over the boat when we were there and have since has reunions. It was awesome. :)

I need to research this FE thing. I am sure we will do it - I want my kids to really get to experience this trip. They are equally as excited as I am (although I think I am more excited right now than my whole family!!!!).

I am chomping at the bit for Southwest to open their dates so that I can book airfare. We booked our Friday night hotel stay last week (and will watch the website in case rates go down). I think taking care of all these logistics helps me manage my excitement! :)

Okay. Did some research. Count us in for FE. I will PM Darcy once I hit 10 posts. In the meantime, could I use this since the doors are magnetic? I also emailed a friend who can sew (since I have no idea how to make one of these and I don't want to spend too much on it).

Of course, since I don't have 10 posts yet, I can't post link. It is lillian and vernon and are magnetic locker pockets.

I'm sure if you can hang it somewhere it will be just fine ;) I think the FE will be fun - kinda like a secret santa and anything that will work for depositing little pressies in should work IMO. :confused3 Of course this is our first cruise, so I'm NOT the person to be handing out advice :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Trying to get my 10 posts in. LOL!

We booked the Country Inn and Suites for the night before. We paid $129 for a room (with a free suite upgrade). Is that a good price?

Only 5 more posts Stephanie - you can do that in a snap! :lmao:

Hopefully someone else will have some info on the hotel - I know there's a thread out there that goes into details on all the pros and cons of different hotels in the area but I don't think it talks about pricing.

Many DISers have reported getting Country Inn and Suites for $49 through Priceline. If you are ok booking with payment upfront and no cancellation, you might want to check it out. The DIS board thread with the info can be found here. Per the info given from other DISers, it is the only 2 1/2 star hotel in Cape Canaveral. :goodvibes

$49 is so much better than $129. I have never used Priceline. I will have to look into it. I wonder if I need to wait until closer to the trip... I like that there is a Hertz right there. I called the Residence Inn and they said that no rooms were available. The woman who I spoke to said that there may be a shuttle launch or something scheduled for that weekend...

Stephanie

And, just to help my message count...

Anyone have fun plans for the holiday weekend? We are headed to the beach for part of it. I am looking forward to a few days of R&R.

Stephanie

Thanks for the Priceline information. I was so nervous trying Priceline! I have never used it before. I tried and couldn't get CIS for $49. I may try $59 later today once my nerves calm down. :) LOL!

Stephanie

Good info on the Priceline deal - hope that works out for you Stephanie and that you manage to get your gameface on to try the $59.00 ;) I've never used Priceline either..it's intimidating :scared: I agree! Let us know how you get on.

We are off to my inlaws in Lousiana for the weekend. We have a camper and they live about a mile from a State Park, so we go and camp and that way have our space to retreat to - it works well. ;) :cool2:

No big plans for the holiday weekend her...My DS has a little league game on Friday night and practice on Saturday, DD has a little league softball game on Saturday (same time as DS's practice of course). Sunday is a FREE day (amazing!) and then the town parade on Monday.

I'm sure we'll have a cookout with friends one of those days as well. Enjoy the beach Stephanie!

No plans for the long weekend here other than relaxing and reading up on the Disney boards!

Hey everyone! I hope that you had a great long holiday weekend. We had a nice time at the beach, although I should have been better with the sunscreen. Looks like everyone in my family will start the summer with splotchy tans. :)

Stephanie

Gotta get that 10th post in. :) Now Southwest is not opening tickets until June 15th for Thanksgiving...I am counting down the days to get my tickets.

Happy Tuesday!

Stephanie

Holiday weekends and vacations go by WAY too fast!! :) Hope that everyone had a good one.

I got an over-the-door shoe holder for the cabin and a 6-pack wine holder for a rolling bag added to my stash of cruise goodies ;)

That sounds very cool, where did you get that?

Stephanie - now that you are at 10 posts, don't forget to PM me with the missing info for the FE list! :goodvibes

I saw someone else on one of the boards talk about it. It's made by BuiltNY and is a 6 pack neoprene tote. I ordered it from Amazon ( I have a prime membership and it was free shipping). When it arrived I wasn't sure wine bottles were going to fit. It is actually for 6 20oz beer bottles. But DH stuck a bottle in there and I think they will just squeeze in, maybe I'll have to turn one and stick it in neck first. That will get all 6 bottles cozily in our rolling carryon bag. We will just do a stop to buy the vino after we get to FL. :thumbsup2

That sounds awesome...will have to look into that. I was just planning on wrapping my wine bottles in bubble wrap!:rotfl:
