I am SO happy we are midship, second floor, JUST what I wanted. woo hoo!
Still no cruise documents though. I checked not expecting anything, I have already checked 5 times today, so I was very happy when it came! I don't care that I didn't get an upgrade just glad to be on deck 2 with the one big porthole window and being midship. score!!!!!

I am so excited... I was beginning to worry.... 8th floor with veranda...8576... DH is so happy and kids are loving that they are just down the stairs from the soda machine!!!

I cant believe we leave in a week for our vacation....9 days in orlando, we are going to be ready for the ship and relaxation!!!!

Cant wait to meet all of you!

Stopping in to say "hi". We just booked this one. Sailing on the Eastern prior to this and dh needed to use some vacation days up so added this on to make a back to back cruise.

Will be me, dh, dd16, dd14, dd9, dd7 and ds7.

Looking forward to meeting new people and seeing familiar faces again.

Hope everyone is excited that the cruise is getting so close!

Jeff - so sorry to hear about your cc problem. I hope it gets cleared up quickly without hassel. We had that happen took in '05 right before we took our first Disney Cruise. $7K charged to our AMEX with charges all around Port Canaveral. Mostly cigarettes, gas, phone cards, in all the surrounding counties. Very organized. I have to say AMEX was great. We weren't responsible and it never affected our credit. Sending pixie dust your way.

Hi everyone...just to post that my dad passed away this morning. He has been missing my mom so much since she passed away in June. While we knew it was coming, and we were so blessed with the time the past few weeks, it is final. DH and I have managed to keep this cruise secret so far from our DD. We have our stateroom assignment, 6133. Very happy to be on deck 6, although we originally were on the 4 night on Nov 28th in stateroom 6642...traded our verandah stateroom for an inside but 3 extra days...happy to take it!

18 days until we set sail! I also decided to book Boatswains directly today...I paid $92 for all 3 of us for the entire marine park, including transportation from the cruise pier. That is the cost for 1 adult through DCL. 12th DCL cruise, and 1st excursion on our own, not booked through DCL.

Congrats on your stateroom assignement. It makes it a bit more exciting doesn't it? I have been in 2542 (just next door)-loved the room location, especially during showtimes, port days, and to grab late night yummies from Beat Street.

You will really enjoy the savings of doing an excursion on your own. This will be my 12th Disney cruise too and we have hardly done any excursions through DCL. Sounds like you have a great time planned and great savings too!

Good morning all!!!!

I've spent my time this morning trying to talk my DH into running a 5k on Thanksgiving morning. I think I will just take the DS and let DH sleep. See I have an ulterior motive, if I get up and run I get lots of macaroni at lunch. Is anyone else thinking about doing the Castaway 5k? I'm not a fast runner, I just want to say that I did it.

Stephanie - Sorry to hear about your Dad. Even when you know it is coming, and you know it is for the best for them, it is still hard and so draining. The cruise will be a nice distraction and give you some time to rest.

Yay on the stateroom assignments and those that have cruise docs (almost) in their hands!

Jeff - glad to hear you are making progress on the CC issue - especially when it is RIGHT before you are heading on vacation, and I think you said you had some business trips thrown in too - it's never convenient I guess, but still darned annoying!!

I have begun to wake up in the night and start to run mental lists through my head I always start my panicking in the night when it's most inconvenient!
