ª"˜ª¤.¸Official Team May 2014 Thread!¸.¤ª˜"ª

DH & I will be at POP May 5-12th, usually we drive but we are going to fly this year after enduring a 5 hour closure on 75 last year :crazy2:

Unfortunately, we are going to have to back out of our trip next year. As much as I was looking forward to it, it just isn't in the cards right now.

Please add us to the May list! We will be at CSR 5/2-5/10. We will be taking my grandson for his first trip-so it will be myself, DH, oldest son-29, DGS-6,and our youngest son,19. Hoping between the 4 adults we can keep up with the 6 year old :rotfl:

I am so excited to see the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot, this will be our first time for that.

Booked all of our ADRs this morning, got everything we wanted on the dates and times we wanted- it pays to get up early.

Next step is to try and be patient for a discount, not so easy...

Will you add me to the list on the first page under Coronado Springs? It's 5/6-5/13. Thanks!

Love CSR! Added:thumbsup2

Could you add me as well? We're May 4-10 at Coronado Springs!

Another CSR! Nice! Added. :)

Add me to the list please!

Bay Lake Tower 5/2 thru 05/11

Thanks!

Back from our October 6-15 trip (big family trip, 12 of us in total)! We have booked for just DH and I for our 16th Anniversary. We will be at Saratoga from May 7-21. Can't wait. Only 10 more days until I can book ADRs!

What a great way to celebrate a wedding anniversary!!! Added :earboy2:

My DH and I are surprising our DD with a trip to WDW from 5/10/14-5/17/14 at AOA LM room. :cool1: It will be DD (age 6) first trip. We are planning on surprising her and not telling her till that morning when we wake her up!!!!!! Can't wait. So, the planning is on the DL. I need someplace to chat about our adventure. Trying to figure out the schedule and dining plans, as I can make ADRs in 12 days. Any advice???? It seems so hard to try to plan meals that far out in advance, but want to make sure we get in the meals that are in high demand.

She is going to love the surprise!! We did the same with our oldest daughter. pixie dust:

Please add us, we will be at BWV 5/8-5/12.

LOOOOOOOVE the Boardwalk Villas! added! :sail:

New to the site, but I'll add the May4-10 kid free trip I booked this week to celebrate my DW 40th birthday at POR. If all goes well it will be kept a secret til the day before. Already got places to stay for our two boys and cleared the dates with my DW boss. 7 months will be a challenge.

Welcome to site!! A kid free trip to celebrate DW's birthday. Sounds great! hehe :ccat:

Hi, my DD 19 and myself DM 54 will be staying at A of A May 10-24th and then heading out on the cruise for a week. Can't believe it's time to start planning my dining reservations. Anyone know when the park hours will be released for the rest of May?

Oh man planning ADR's are my favorite! DW and I love going to our usual ones, and then we leave room to try new places.. Ahhh food is one of the best elements of WDW! :stitch2:

We are off to our favorite place on the 23rd May staying 6 nights at AK, 1 night HRH and then 7 Nights at BLT. Planning is well and truly underway and at 200 days today getting very excited :dance3::dance3:

WOW three resorts in 14 days!! Thats awesome! added :hyper:

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure you'll head over to WDW soon. Keep me informed if anything changes.

Three generations on vacation at Disney World! Sounds magical! It'll be trip with tons of great memories. added earsgirl:

Yep! Obsessive over planner right here! We have never done wdw, but are DL vets... Anyhow, we have good friends who go to wdw twice yearly, so they are helping me plan... I think this is the plan: arrive late on the 6th, dinner at Maya Grill and crash. 7th is our MK day, 8th Epcot, 9th AK, 10th is Saturday and we'll need a break, so it's pool and DTD for dinner, 11th and Mother's Day at HS, 12th water park day, morning of the 13th MK to say bye to the big castle, and then move over to the dark side ;)

Can't wait to make adrs soon!!

It sounds like we have similar schedules. We plan to do an early flight on Tuesday morning, the 6th and head over to the MK for a few hours. We'll hop over to Epcot for the evening to have dinner and watch Illuminations. On the 7th we do a full day at MK. The 8th we do Epcot for the full day (dinner at Coral Reef). The 9th we do a morning of AK and head over to HS late afternoon to eat dinner and do Fantasmic. The 10th we return back to HS for most the day, then hop over to MK for the evening to eat at Be Our Guest. The next two days are at Universal and the last day we might do a park half day before leaving.

I wish we got in earlier on the 6th... But traveling from the west coast is an all day thing! Sounds like you'll have a blast... Lots of hopping! We do that at DL, but our friends recommended one park a day for our trip. So that's the plan.

Hi - we're so excited. We're going to be staying in a 2-BR at OKW April 25-May 18. This past time - just back - we split our trip between BC and OKW and found splitting the trip up wasn't for us. Everyone should try it at least once. So after 6 yrs of staying at BC we've decided to go back to to the more relaxing OKW. May is definitely our favorite time of year! Have fun everyone!

Just booked The Beach Club for May 2-5, and made all of ADR's- I even got Be Our Guest! Looking forward to a 4 day weekend without the kids!! It's our 20 year anniversary, so I think we are due for some adult time at our favorite place in the world!!

We are approaching our 180 day mark- for our May 10th - 17th vacation. I have been researching ADR's and getting pretty overwhelmed. I was looking for some advice. I did research on of the boards that has crowd status. It doesn't recommend MK for the first 3 days, but that is our main interest- as is getting in BBB appointment and CRT breakfast reservation. What do you recommend- should we follow the recommendations and not go to the MK on days designated as RED? or should we chance it and go willy nilly? Is May really that busy? My DH thinks I am crazy for booking dining reservations this far out, and he does have a pt-what if our plans change? HELP!!!! Excited, but overwhelmed! :scared1:

NICE!! I switched your place from off property to BCR. :hyper:

In lieu of our annual April visit to the World, we'll be going May 5th - 14th instead so that I can celebrate my 30th birthday (May 9th) in my favorite place! I'm always excited about our Disney trips but even more so for this one as I haven't celebrated a birthday in Disney since I was 10 AND my Gammy, Auntie, Mom and Best Friend will be joining my daughter and I in the celebration. :upsidedow

We returned home from our October trip last week and while we were still there I booked our May trip. :rotfl: As of the moment we have a grand villa at AKL booked but that may change to VGF if I'm able to get my hands on a unit there.

Are you early risers? If you are and plan to go to rope drop at MK you will be fine. We typically got for rope drop and opening ceremony at MK, then after lunch take a break to swim while our little guy naps, then head back into the park and this time we will use FP+ for the evening. I would recommend doing CRT for lunch that way you can take advantage of the park being empty in the morning and get on more rides or meet more characters with less wait. I would go with the flow of your kids and have your ADRs. You can always make changes later. My DH thought I was nuts the first time we took our DD at 22 months old and my stressing over reservations but once he saw her eyes light up on Main Street he was sold. We said that he wants to do this as often as possible and now enjoys planning our trips with me. January will make our 9th trip to WDW with DD and our DS 5th trip.

If you want I would be glad to help with planning, just let me know what your tentative plans are with ADRs. I love talking Disney.

Happy Planning!

Joining in, we'll be there from May 10th to the 16th at the VGF and then at AKV from the 16th to the 19th.

Just got back last week from our daughters first trip and can't wait to go back.

Thank you sooo much.:thumbsup2 Ok, here is the tentative plans, put in place taking crowd calendars. We are morning people, but my daughter does get fussy/cranky when tired, so try to figuring in breaks, and definitely renting a stroller!

1. Sat 5/10- Arriving at 10 AM. Figure getting groceries, checking in early? if possible. Then heading straight to MK. ?6 PM dinner at BOG.

2. 5/11-AK- for the day. Thinking of taking a later aft break at hotel and going to MK for ?6:30 dinner at Crystal Palace and then enjoying park till MSEP and Fireworks.

3. 5/12 Epcot- scheduling a little bit later bfkst at Askershus, as we will have been out early the night before. Maybe a 9:15 or 9:30 to allow for us to get some FP first thing. Spend day there and lunch/dinner wherever. Maybe dinner at Coral Reef- do you think I need a res for that ahead of time?

4. 5/13- Scheduling BBB apt for DD at 8 AM. Heard that we can go in early to park and maybe even open BBB- someone mentioned that. what time would we need to leave AOA to get there for 8? Followed by BFKST at CRT at 9:30- we like the options for this meal best and want the experience. Rest of the day would be at MK.

5. 5/14- MK all day. Break in aft and then return to Epcot for dinner and Illuminations.

6. 5/15-HS- May arrive a little later in AM, if went to Illuminations. would like to eat snack at Sci-Fi. We are planning on going to Fantasmic at night- 9pm and was thinking of doing dinner at Mama Melrose-or do you think lunch would be better? we prob will try to take aft break for DD, so she can make it through Fantasmic. Not sure if it would be worth it to go to hotel for little while and return for 6:30 dinner or as I said do lunch.

7. 5/16-Considering Chef Mickey BFKST for say 9 AM? then can spend time at MK and another park if we want to go back to one.

8. 5/17-Don't depart till7 pm. wanted to enjoy more time at MK.

We did sign up for DDP- 1 snack, qs, and sit down. Felt that it would be good to have money already pd and allocated for food and pay for any extras and have snacks to bring and food for bfksts.
I am open to thoughts and recommendations.
TIA :flower3:

Just booked today for 5/12 - 5/18!!! Praying for ANY kind of discount between now and then Disney Gods!!!

I haven't booked yet (hopefully there will be a BB when I am there next week), but I already booked an ADR for a Sci-Fi lunch because I couldn't get one for this trip.
