So until yesterday after the fateful Fastpass+ debacle that left me unable to access the new website, all my reservations on MDE appeared perfectly. They're all looking good on the app too. But now on the old website only my resort reservation appears, and whenever I try to add my dining reservations I get an error message. Should I worry or is everything probably fine?

You're in Canada right? I am getting on the new site with "Tunnelbear" which is a downloadable app that will make it appear that you are accessing the site from the US. There's a thread on the Canadian board about it. It's the only way I can get on MDE. Otherwise it's the old site for me, that only shows my resort. And it's been that way for me for THREE trips. Well over a year and a half. It was infuriating I just got a form letter or a non answer anytime I tried to contact Disney about it , which basically translated to "We don't actually care that our stupid old website isn't working for you.. call in for reservations..have a magical day".
Sorry to be so snarky about it but 3 trips and over 15 thousand dollars later it would have been nice to have a functional website without having to find submersive methods of working around the system that I learned on the Disboards.

You're in Canada right? I am getting on the new site with "Tunnelbear" which is a downloadable app that will make it appear that you are accessing the site from the US. There's a thread on the Canadian board about it. It's the only way I can get on MDE. Otherwise it's the old site for me, that only shows my resort. And it's been that way for me for THREE trips. I downloaded "Tunnelbear" this morning. It's so different looking at the US site. I was able to access my dining reservations but it wouldn't show me my package reservation for August or my room only reservation for October. I'm going to have to play around with it a bit.

Hi everyone! I am excited to say that I am going to have an unexpected trip back to WDW this August! I was just there in April with my dad to visit my sister who was doing the College Program. She was supposed to come home in August but was then offered a Professional Internship so thanks to her awesome CM discount I get to go back! I'll be staying at Pop Century from the 13th-18th. It's going to be a different experience since we are in DVC-I haven't stayed at a non-DVC resort since 2005!

I'll be getting an annual pass since I am also going in December. This is turning out to be a year of Disney for me.

Oh yes, I also just requested to be in the facebook group.

Yay! That's awesome that you can go back! I just ordered our APs so it is definitely a year of Disney for us...and I couldn't be happier! (PS I cannot believe I didn't do the DCP in college but I am totally talking my boys into it!)

I've been several times in July and August and lived to tell about it. This will be our first trip with frogg togg chilly pads. During all of our past trips we have just kept hydrated and used fan misters. There are so many rides and ride queue's that are air conditioned that it's really not that terrible...in my opinion of course. We've also never taken mid day breaks but that is something we're going to try this trip. We'll go back to the resort, swim, take showers and then head back out for dinner and our evening.

I personally love going in August. The crowds are low- we get to the parks early, leave for a nap or pool break, then head back at night when it is cooler. Every trip I have taken (minus 2) have been in the summer. The temps really are the same here in NJ and we have high humidity, so maybe I am used to it? Make sure you stay hydrated, but there are always attractions to sneak into that are air conditioned if you get too hot!

Don't worry....this will be our fourth August trip in a row and I'm a pasty white red head who hates the heat. I avoid the sun and heat like the plague. We go to the parks early and usually find indoor air conditioned areas to hang out in during mid day. The daily afternoon rain is an added bonus during this time. Hope you love it as much as we do!

On the right hand side there will be an area that says "Link reservations". Once you do that they will all be there. Also, as long as you don't clear your cookies, you can go back on MDE without turning tunnelbear on. You just need it for that first time or after you clean out your cache.

Oh and I totally agree with this. DD and I are so pale we glow
I can think of a few times (very few) during all of our August trips where we were miserably hot. The most important thing to do then is find something else to do. I don't mind abandoning the plan and heading into air conditioning for awhile. There's plenty of ways to stay cool

So I went to Kohls and found this hat, it was not becoming. Brim was too small. Anyway it was green, not pink. I almost bought a beige crushable hat, couldn't bring myself to do it.

Hi all!!! I am coming here to find comfort because I'm STRESSED!!! We leave for vacation in 26 days (I can't BELIEVE its so close now!!). I have SO MUCH to do in the next 3+ weeks I just don't know HOW I'm going to get it all done!!!

1. Josh has Senior Pictures this Monday at 1pm
2. Josh is going in the hospital on Wednesday for 5+ days of treatment. His rejection is worse again and they decided now is the time for more treatment. This in itself is a HUGE stressor
3. Several years ago, Hurricane Ike (or the remnants of Ike) came through and flooded my finished basement, ruining it. My basement is being painted and new flooring put down while we're gone, but right now, it is FULL of all my mom's things because she has been moving in with us over the past month. We need to get it all OUT of there so my handyman can come in. When am I going to do this>???
4. I haven't even BEGUN to pack and I still need to get our snacks for the road, etc.

Lord help me I'm stressed!!!!!

Breathe! *hugs* take small steps and check things off as they're accomplished. Are your mom's things in boxes? You could move a few out of there at a time instead of thinking about ALL of it at once. We haven't begun to pack yet or get snacks, etc. for the trip. Still need to get a new camera too. it's ok. Heck, we don't even know for sure where we're staying or for how long! Hehehe.

As for Josh...sending lots of prayers and positive thoughts your way. Keep us updated and you can always stop by to vent or just as a "breather" from the stress.
