Has everyone made lots of ADR's for their trip? I just made two tonight...I like planning but hate committing to things...weird combo I know!

We have quite a few ADRs... Enough that we are paying for two meals oop.

Normally, this wouldn't happen, but my two teenage dds confessed to me during trip planning that they have always wanted to eat in the castle. Who knew? Lol so with a bunch of reconfiguring, I was able to squeeze in CRT, which means we will be paying for LTT and Sci-fi oop (because they are cheaper combined than crt).

So, for our 9 night stay, we have 10 meals planned. Some of them new, some of them favorites. :)

D~

I am trying to move around ADRs to see if it's detrimental if we lose a day for my insane "want to do a split with CR" plan...we'd have the DxDP for the first part of the trip (4nights) and I'm trying to stretch that into 5 days worth of meals. Then OOP for the last 3 nights (basically 2.5 days) but I also don't want to give up all the places we wanted to eat in order to do this...

I think I might be the most sad about giving up the dessert party, BUT I would live...
We always stretch our dining plan into an extra day. We've done it with the DDP and, this time, we'll be doing it with the QSDP, so you should definitely be able to do it with the DxDP! Not trying to encourage you to do a split stay, but CR does sound nice.... :rolleyes1

I know! Never stayed there before...if we do the split, need to decide between GW GV or BLV in the main tower...

We have 5 ADRs for our eight day trip. Dinners at O'Hana and Cape May and lunches at Via Napoli, T-Rex and Crystal Palace. DH wants a lunch at Big River Grille too, but they no longer take reservations, so we'll have to try our luck at a walk-up there.

For our 6 day trip we have 11 ADRs. We are on the DxDP though. We stretch ours out over six days even though you only get 15 credits by using snack credits for breakfast. We also do three signature meals so that we don't feel like we are constantly eating. It works for us.

We have 7 days and made 14 ADRs. Is that crazy?? Not sure if we plan our meals around the park we're in or vice versa. LOL. We are on DxDP so we plan on using all of the credits.

Joining in on the fun!

Our family of five will be at the Yacht Club August 5-10. Can't wait! Mickey Mail arrived yesterday. :cool1:

When we did the DxDP we didn't find it to be too many ADR's. We did a later breakfast that served as breakfast/lunch and then a signature for dinner every night. It worked out great. Too much food? Yes. But I find the regular ddp too much food sometimes too. We typically just eat until we're full and leave the rest and sometimes skip the desserts. It wouldn't be worth it OOP but we're fine with it during free dining.

Our trip in 2010 we did DxDP. We did a few meals that took 2 credits though so it wasn't as many meals. We figured we'd want some breaks from the heat and DD2 was not quite 2 yet so feeding her at a sit down meal would be easier than counter service. We did CRT breakfast and dinner and Mickey's BYBBQ (which was a waste of credits IMO) but definitely made use of the time and experiences at the restaurants.

Last time we did DDP with the thought we would have ADRs for dinner and QS for lunch and breakfast in the room. Our kids can't seem to have breakfast in a hotel room without making a mess though so that didn't quite work out the way we hoped.

This time we're doing DDP again (originally we were going to do all QS but that changed) and we're doing mostly breakfasts. We're doing Chef Mickey's on our arrival night and Park Fare on our break/water park day for dinner but the rest are breakfasts. We've got Akershus, H&V, CP and Ohana. Only new one for this trip is Akershus, but we're going to try some new QS places if we can.

Well OK, when you put it that way I guess you are right....:sad1:

OMG!! If it wasn't for this QOTD and Momto3gr8boys answer we would have forgotten to pay off our trip and lost our reservations we made in September!!!!
But now that Mom paid I can focus on what else I need to do:
Purchase appropriate foot ware, hat(s), gallons of sun screen, shorts, new Keens for both girls, cheap cameras for the girls, convince Mom a back pack is the best park bag and if she doesn't like it to let me lugg it around, purchase leak proof water bottles, replenish aid powder for water, ponchos, frogtoggs, and win the lottery - getting ready is more expensive then the trip!!!
Thanks, I owe you one!!!

This is sooooo cute!!!

I'm glad the reminder helped!!! I had a bit of concern as yesterday was my 45 days out and my TA had not charged my card yet, but she is so responsive and sent me an email last night telling me not to worry. She followed up today and its all paid!!! Woo hoo!!

I wonder if they are doing updates on the system. I went to check my reservation in MDE (which I do everyday to pass the time) and the page didn't load completely. All of the sections were blank. It had Hotel Reservations, then Tickets & Passes, then Dining and at the bottom was FastPass+. In the FP+ section it said "You haven't reserved any FP+ attractions." There wasn't a link to do so unfortunately. I refreshed the page to see if that would help and the FastPass+ section is now gone.

I think we're getting closer to that roll out. Still don't know if it will be a good thing or a bad thing but I'm leaning closer to good thing. :thumbsup2

We have way too many ADRs and I am having an impossible time trying to decide what to do! We have 19 for 9 nights and I need to move some around and cancel a few. The problem is I just can't make a decision on which to cancel. We are not doing the DDP...just doesn't make financial sense for us, and that's ok. I don't mind paying OOP for these...it's more that they are going to take too much park or sleep time to enjoy them all!

D- I am in a situation like you with CRT. The boys have mentioned some favorites and of course they are all different! I think I am going to give them the list of ADRs I have and have them rank them in order of preference and that may help...

I tried to go to My Disney Experience and the old site is coming up. I am freaking out though because all my dining reservations aren't coming up. :scared: I thought it would be cool to be able to add my son's birthday celebrations in the old system, but I can't even see our Tusker House reservation for the morning of his birthday! All these changes make me both nervous and excited!

We have one a day for our 8 days at Disney. Most of them are in the evening as I figured we needed a brake from the heat and just to sit and take our time eating. We do have one lunch on at the AK but the park closes early so thought lunch would be better that day and it's later at 1. We eat at each park at least once and twice at HS and MK. We are also having one ADR at DTD and one at Ohana's. Lunch tends to be what's near us when we get hungry though since I can't seem to get an ADR for BOG we might have to make a special effert to eat here on our full MK day. Don't want to stand in line forever to do it but I hope because we are going on a day that the crowds are suppose to be low (less then 2) we won't run into the lines they are having right now. Don't want to eat to late as we have a ADR at the Crystal palace around 6 and the girls loved it here last time...we all love Pooh and friends in our house...even DH who's not a Disney fan boy. :cheer2:
Only 50 days till Disney and 41 till Universal!

First of all, that stinks that your reservations aren't coming up. That happened to me earlier, same thing where the old site came up. When I called, everything was fine, it was just their website was malfunctioning. If you want to add a celebration, I would definitely recommend calling. The likelihood of everything coming out ok is much better when talking to a person.

We are doing the DxDP so we have enough ADRs for an army! My husband insisted on this plan, and I'm excited to try so many new restaurants, but I'm wondering if I should have done more signatures. With a 2/3 year old I didn't think he'd hang at a signature very well. I thought about throwing in Artist Point since we're staying at WL, but there is nothing on the menu my picky toddler would eat. As such the only 2 credit restaurant we're doing is CRT. I am worried since I can not eat a lot this pregnancy about having so many dining reservations, but I figure at least I'll get out of the heat and into the AC!

I don't think so. That is basically 2 meals a day. I don't think that is over doing things.

I had emailed IPO at the Poly with some of my vacation info, and the response included a "recommendation" to do online check-in. This surprised me as I had heard that you shouldn't do online check-in when you stay CL. The email said that using online check-in would allow us to take advantage of the benefits of the new Magic Band system. I was wondering if they're going to implement this before our August trip :confused3

If they do, I really hope that we'll still be able to get additional fastpasses in the parks, as I can't imagine only wanting 3 fastpasses for a whole day at Magic Kingdom. For us, the other 3 parks would be doable with just 3...

I need to stop looking because it's just freaking me out at this point! I'm sure they're all still there. I haven't cancelled them and have all my confirmation numbers written down as a back up so I should be good to go! I'm constantly on the phone with Disney for work, but keep forgetting to add our celebrations in to my own reservation! Today is pretty slow so I guess I will give them a call and sort it all out!
