ª"˜˜ª¤.¸Team August 2013 Thread! (Part 2)¸.¤ª˜˜"ª&#9733

So we arrived home from our trip very late Saturday night. We had a wonderful time.

Highlights:
1) BBB for my DD for the first time. She was in heaven and it was a great experience. She had a lot of fun getting all jazzed up and then eating dinner in the castle. She was super excited that Jasmine was there as well as Cinderella (of course), Aurora, Snow White, and Ariel. She has never seen Jasmine before so that was exciting for her.

2) Our dinner at Narcoossee's was wonderful. Our server was great and we all had a really great meal. The filet and lobster tail was very good and my dessert was so yummy (almond crusted cheese cake-always great).

3) There were very few tour groups than other years. Maybe because we usually go in the middle of July, but did not experience anything like in year past. We actually went two days without seeing one at all.

4) Our room at AKL was very nice even though our fridge was one that was not working. The room was quiet and in a great location.

5) Weather was great. Hot, but great. It only rained one evening for about 3 hours. Other than that, all was quiet and dry.

6) My DS was finally tall enough for Rock n Rollercoaster and had such a fun time. He loved it and we got to go on it three times in one day which was great.

Disappointments:
1) Nothing major, but Tower of Tower was down for over an hour the morning we were there and we didn't get to ride it due to FP for other things, but all in all not too bad.

2) My son loves POTC and was sad it was closed for the first three days of the trip. We usually ride it about 10 times and he only rode it once this trip, but again not a deal breaker and glad we got to ride it at all and of course, the new boats are a lot cleaner so that was a plus.

That was it. Not much to really complain about.

Our trip was a lot of fun. We were very tired at the end. Usually we stay for a few more days and 6 felt really short, but we did it this way to go back in October so on to planning our next trip. Safe travels to everyone else going soon.

I just had my final exam for my summer class........and I got 100%!!!!:banana::banana:

I'm so happy and relieved (and a bit proud of myself). Plus this means I'm getting close to the trip! 19 more days!

I also just switched around one reservation because I wanted to fit Characterpalooza and Fantasmic in. Now we'll be going to Biergarten on our last day for lunch instead of dinner, and then we'll go over to DHS. Now to start planning my outfits :rotfl:

Congrats on the test mark!! Well done :-)

Can I join in on the new job celebration?!?! I interviewed for a teaching position a couple weeks ago and was offered the job a couple days later! I purposely planned my trip around the district's new teacher training just in case I was hired, so now when I get home I will be starting that right after. I am so looking forward to FINALLY having my own classroom this year (the past 3 years I worked as an educational assistant)!

Oh yeah, and when I get to WDW I'm definitely getting an "I'm Celebrating" button! :thumbsup2

WooHoo :cool1:

Looks like Disney is going to be a "New Job Celebration" place this year!!!

Congrats!!!!!

I got the job!!! I got the job!!! I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!

I don't think that I've shared on here about other things going on in my life other than my Disney obsession. So here ya go.....

I lost my job 2 years ago, and decided to go back to college. I'm working toward my degree in Psychology. I just got a job at the hospital working on the Psych floor. I'm so excited!!! And they were really understanding and are going to work everything around my Disney trip so I don't have to miss it!!!

YAY!!!!

21 days!!!!!!

Congrats on the job!!!!

Congrats to you on your job!!!

Congrats on the new jobs. We are celebrating the opposite the end of themonth.

Dh retired at the end of June from teaching for 35 years. I will be getting ready to work my last year or two of teaching before I retire.

We are also celebrating 35 years of marriage.

For anyone there now or who has already returned, what's the word on bouncebacks?? Is there anything in the room or has anyone called extension 8844 to check for 2014 bounceback offers? Thanks!

There was a BB in the welcome packet on our table. Looked different then in years past. I didn't get a picture of it, but luckily one of the guys from our July group did. Here is the link. It's post #2329.

#2329 for BB picture and information

Thanks for the info! It looks like this may be for bouncebacks within 2013? I hope they switch over to 2014 before we get there!

Yeah I think it only went up the the end of this year, but this is the most current BB offer. I didn't read it too closely since it was not going to work for us. I knew the room ônly discount for October would work better for us.

Great, thanks again. I'll stay on the lookout for new offers!

Me too. We're interested in a Bounceback for next year. I read somewhere that they typically switch them over midway through August for the following year. So here's hoping. Isn't it funny how we haven't even gone on this current trip, and we're already planning the next. DH asked me kidding around the other day what dates we were looking at for 2014. So I pulled out my calendar and told him what I was looking at. :)

FIVE DAYS!!!! Finally to the point where I can count it on one hand! Looking forward to my very first Sisters' Trip!!!:cheer2:
