I'm wondering this myself. The washing machine decided to die yesterday and all signs point to it being completely unfixable. Our trip is paid off, but there goes $500 of August money towards a new machine.

Oh no!!!

Ours died last week blah! I will say this much, we got a great deal with Memorial Day sales so maybe it won't be too bad?

Yikes...

Sorry about your washing machine! I hope you can replace it inexpensively.
I bought a lower end Kenmore washing machine when my son was a baby. It has no bells and whistles, is white instead of stainless, but my son is 9 and we've had ZERO problems with it. I use that machine every day. So, there's hope for something that doesn't break the bank and is reliable

Same here... we purchased our set 11 years ago - lower end - top loader. Zero problems with the washer ever... Finally had to replace the dryer this spring - we purchased the exact same model we had.

However... To all of you replacing appliances... Make sure you empty your load out of the washer/dryer before you recycle it... :rolleyes1

I just called the dentist back for my husband. He isn't going to make it through the day like this so he's headed home now to get it looked at. The good news is hopefully he will be out of pain very soon.

Oh no!

My wife is the type that needs at least 6 hours of sleep at night and another 8 during the day to survive. :lmao:

Totally me!

Well the bad news.. Dh's tooth got really really painful and he had to leave work. The good news? They made a spot for him at the dentist, he's feeling MUCH better and insurance covered 80%:cool1:. It's weird what it will and won't cover but it went through. So crisis averted for the day:)

Very glad it all turned out OK.

As long as we are talking about appliances...

Yah - had to replace the dryer this spring... The control panel died on the oven - to the tune of $400 (ouch) - some would say to just replace the oven, but I could never get the oven I have for $400 (or even close) so we opted to fix... Then, DH's alternator went out in his truck... Then DH's wiper moter went out in his Jeep... Then DH's fuel pump went out in his truck... Then my A/C evaporator went out in my Edge - which is the problem we are most currenly trying to solve... :scared:

Wondering if anything else can go wrong... :scratchin

In the car, at the table (or whenever we are waiting around), our family plays the "Category Game"...

Someone picks a category (i.e. "things that fly") and we round-robin giving our answers. If you can't think of something, say something that isn't part of the category, or repeat an answer, you're out. Last man standing wins.

So tonight we were in the car and the kids asked for a category. With WDW on my mind, I said "Disney Resorts or Restaurants". The kids could name quite a few but yes, I won.:rolleyes1

When we got home DS9 asked "So how many resorts ARE there at Disney?". I looked it up. There are 29 if you count the Swan, Dolphin, & the Campground... 30 if you count the soon to open GFV.

Which made me think... even if I stayed at a different resort every year, it would be a VERY long time before I had to repeat a stay. Perhaps I should just go more often so I can try them all in less than 30 years :rotfl:

It always seem to all happen at once, doesn't it?

Good plan!! :-) I would like to try CR and GF and POFQ and a Nemo suite at AoA sometime for sure...and a villa somewhere, anywhere. :-) And club level somewhere, anywhere. :-) definitely glad we're trying a new resort this time around so it knocks it off my bucket list. :-)

We're slowly trying as many as we can:cheer2:
Some we repeat because we love them, some we aren't really interested in so they'll be last if at all, and some are waaaayyyyy out of budget right now so it will be awhile. We really should have DVC but it's not in the cards when I have a dd going off to Unversity soon and a husband upgrading his education.

Anyway.. this is what we have done so far..

ASMu, ASports, ASMo and Pop.. one night each
Port Orleans Riverside (x2)
Coronado Springs (x2)
Fort Wilderness Cabins
Boardwalk Villas, The Polynesian, Old Key West, Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Not too bad so far.
Coming up this year..

AoA Little Mermaid, Port Orleans French Quarter, and Wilderness Lodge.

This is a great game!!

We're staying split stay at two resorts we've never stayed at or visited before! Excited to try something new.

This is a split stay for us too (SSR/CR), but SSR is a repeat. It was the only DVC resort with a 2br DB could get with points at the 4.5 month mark. We're wait listed for WLV & AKV, but I'm really hoping WLV comes through.

This will be my 31st trip in August...about half of which were at FW on our yearly trip growing up. We never stayed at a hotel in Disney until we stayed at the hotels by DTD. Since then I have stayed at ASMu, AS Sports a few times, Pop 3 times, 1 night at CBR, 1 night at BC, WL, and CR. We finally decided to join DVC...what took us so long? Oh yes, daycare!
Now we have added SSR, BLT, AKK, and will be staying at BWV in August. Looking forward to trying the new GFV some day!

Well my car decided to start making some interesting noises last week ish. So today I have to go to my car guy and learn how much it will cost us to fix it:confused3. MEANWHILE, I'm staying up beat because I'm 83 DAYS OUT AND I'M SO EXCITED!!!!:cool1: I even downloaded a free count down app on my phone just so I can see it!!! My DH and I are trying so many new things this year I'm so excited!!!

QUESTION OF THE DAY???
What's your WDW countdown today? Do you check in every few days or keep a countdown on your desk top/smartphone?

I check every few days. We are at 85 days according to My Disney Experience.

I don't know which "countdown" to go by!!!! If I go by "the day vacation starts", which is before we actually check into Disney, I have 64 days. If I go by the day we leave for Florida, we have 67 days. If I go by the first Disney day, (and according to MDE) then we have 69 days!! So, its convoluted, but there you have it!!!

I have a countdown on my phone that tells me how many days left that I check probably hourly :) 71 more days to go! I don't want to wish the summer away, but I'm ready. I'll be even more excited when I get to 60 days left! I'm hoping it flys by from there :)

I check it here every so often (whenever I post :)), but I like the idea of a countdown on my desktop - think I'll add that today :thumbsup2 Don't have a smartphone, so can't do that one.

We're at 81 days today

LOL.. Well.. I try to post every day in the "How many days left.." thread. And the kids can spit out the answer whenever you ask them. It is one of the first things my 9 year old says every morning. "Good Morning.. 92 days until Disney!":rotfl:
DD16 has a countdown app on her Iphone. Dh says he'll get excited when it's a week to go. And he does. He's an "in the moment" kind of guy.:rotfl:

I know how the car issues feel for sure! My jeep has been in the shop with my car guy 3 times in two weeks! Once for regular maintenance and then tye rods ($$$) brakes ($) and then what we thought was shocks ended up being a faulty tye rod (thankfully covered) it was getting expensive!

We've done ASMo x2 and AKL x1 looking forward to CBR and BWI this time !

85 days too!!! Woo!! Dh made a countdown flip calendar for the kids complete with searches for keeper of the magic kingdom card searches and disney dollar trivia! Took him 100 days to put the 100 day calendar together lol!

You'll love CBR - my absolute favorite resort (next to the Poly)! Have you read any of mickeystoontown's trip reports? She has awesome pictures and reviews of CBR :thumbsup2
