QOTD??

I just wrote a nice QOTD about packing and then I realized we had already discussed it....

Which rides would you like to see re-habilitated or closed all together?

It would be nice for them to do something with Wonders of Life. I always liked that pavilion and now it just sits there empty.

CoP needs some updating. I wish they had the ability to add a 5th scene, but since I'm pretty sure that's impossible, the final scene needs to be brought up to date.

I wouldn't want them to close anything - I get so sad when they close rides, even the ones I didn't ride much.

Thanks for the input! I'm going to see if I can sneak the dinner in. If not, my son (he'll be 1) is bringing ring pops to propose to the step sisters in the park anyways :rotfl2: My daughter really wants to see Prince Charming, but we're already doing Akershus and CRT so I'm afraid 1900 dinner is overkill. We'll see!

I should also mention we didn't originally have this booked when we went during free dining 2011 and decided to add them both the days we wanted them at concierge at the resort. You could always try that if you're not sure yet ;-)

I've never liked Tomorrowland at MK. Even when I was a little kid I didn't like it. To me it doesn't "go" with MK park.

Hmmm... I really don't like that Dino area of AK... I'd rather see that turned into Avatar land... (not that I want Avatar land either) :rolleyes1

No such thing that I know of :rotfl2: You just keep telling us your plans and we'll ooh and aah with you ;)

Oh goodie! You know I talk a lot right? :rolleyes1

I'm glad you got your airfare - nothing solidifies the trip for me more than booking air! I'm sorry it's was more money, but be thankful that $70 was all it went up. I checked our air this week again (I booked in January or February) and I almost fell over when I saw the price of our flight yesterday - we paid around $250 a ticket - there are four seats left on our flight and they are now $755 round trip from JFK-MCO! That is insane! I have no idea how they could possibly charge that much except that if the plane is nearly full, I suppose they could do what they want. But if I were just planning a trip now, we would not be going at those prices. So much for hoping the fares would drop and I'd get a credit! :rotfl:

Just wondering which airline? Those prices are crazy! I booked our flight in February from JFK as well, and got about the same price as you. We're using JetBlue -- who I love, with the free bag check, the TV's (actually, my son really loves the TV's) and the great customer service.

Aw, that's one of our favorite places!

Some of the pavilions at the future world section of Epcot could use an upgrade, imo. I wasn't there as a kid so it's not a nostalgia thing. I just find it all kind of boring and outdated.

I really dislike Stitch. I'd like to see that done away with. Although my 13 year old likes it. Neither my husband or I do so I'm excited I'm pregnant and can use that as an excuse not to go on! ;)

I'd also like to see CoP update the last scene. I love that ride, and we always use it as a bit of a break, but the 80s are long gone! ;)

There'd be no point in switching resorts if nobody made fun of me:confused3. I've come to expect it:lmao:

Ok, I'll bite... (since Gina is holding her tongue).....so, Pigletto, have you gone through all 24 resorts yet? Are you on your final one? You do realize you can change up to 45 days before, right? Oh, wait...you know that by now, don't you?

there. Got it out of my system......Luv Ya Pigletto!!! :lmao:

There she is!!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:
Now this thread feels complete :rotfl2:

This time I just switched from offsite to onsite since I got a free dining pincode. Nothing too exciting. But like you said.. there's still time:scratchin

Stitch really gets under my skin too! I remember going to WDW when I was 6ish and my mom and brother telling me how scary the Alien Encounter ride was, so I was already a bit iffy before doing Stitch as an adult since it has a lot of the same effects, but it's more annoying than scary. I'm definitely okay with skipping that ride in August.

I wracked my brain on this and couldn't think of anything. There is still a fair amount that I haven't been on in decades so my mind is drawing a blank. Our kids were too little for some things on our previous trips or we ran out of time for them so a lot of things are "new" to me still.

In happy news I realized that we had enough money in the bank now to consider our trip "paid for." To get the Disney Rewards dollars we had booked the trip with the 0% financing on the VISA and put the money that we would've spent towards that into a savings account earning interest. Between the interest and the Reward dollars we'll have our PP+ paid for completely as well at pretty much no cost. Next month we'll pay off the card and order our PP+ card. :cool1::banana:

If I had my way, it would be GOODBYE, STITCH.

Ugh, I just didn't enjoy that ride  .

Can't think of any others, though, that I would have wanted to see shelved or revamped. Even some of the ... uh, hokey? ones ... (cue the band to start playing Its A Small World here) .... hold a rather special place in my heart.

It's American Airlines, which I am not happy about. But, even with the baggage fees, the tickets were cheaper than JetBlue, which is what we normally fly to Orlando. I'll probably regret it, although our JetBlue flight to Orlando was 4 hours delayed last week and they did nothing to make up for it (usually they at least throw in a free movie), so I'm not feeling too bad at the moment.

Ok, I take back what I said earlier about missing rides. I do NOT miss Alien Encounter. I rode it once and it scared the bejeezes out of me! No thank you. I think one of the reasons I may actually not mind Stitch is because I can ride it without fear of heart failure ;)

That is the best feeling!!

I'm having cruise/Disney withdrawl :( I just had to unsubscribe from the "How many days until your next Disney cruise" thread because I was getting bummed out every time I saw it pop up in my CP. I had thoughts of doing an OBB, which financially makes sense if we were really going to do another DCL cruise in the next year or so, but I couldn't really justify it because we have way too many vacations (Disney and non-Disney) on the horizon carrying us through the next year.

I know in just three months or so we will all be there and it will be an awesome vacation, and I have no business complaining, but I'm still a little bummed.

Oh well, maybe I'll go organize my pictures so I can scrapbook them before our August trip! Thanks for letting me throw a pity party for myself
