I think you should do one Christine... Many people do them different ways... I've heard of people doing them using Word... They are a lot of time - and all of it is "part of the fun of the trip" ya know? I just LOVE to plan.

Thank you for taking the time to tell me what is going on. I am so sorry that this has been such a rough road for all of you. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. :lovestruc

I really don't want to say this, because it is not something I really like to talk about, outside of my own PTR, but I carry my own bags. :thumbsup2 I feel awkward posting pictures, but here's the link to my most recent ones (there are also more pictures of my Mini-Planner pages here too) :

Just sent you a PM. :-)

Has anyone ever done 1900 Park Fare for breakfast and dinner in the same trip? We're doing it for breakfast on our no-park day because my sister loves Alice, but I want to see Prince Charming gosh darn it!

I think they're different enough you could. We did breakfast one year and we're doing dinner this year for the first time.

@ DMGuerts I LOVE your lanyards and pouches! Do you have these available for sale? I can't PM you because I'm still "earning my ears".:)

On our trip in 2010 Park Fare breakfast was our first meal and Park Fare dinner was our last meal. That was our first trip in the modern era with the dining plans, character meals, etc so we hit almost all of them on that trip. Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter, etc are great for the breakfast. The stepsisters are a lot of fun for dinner. I've heard it's especially fun if you have teenage boys as they fawn over them quite a bit. I have little girls so we didn't get quite the same response from them but Prince Charming was pretty cool. I did my best to get him to break character but he wouldn't do it. He was good.

It's definitely two completely different experiences. We're doing the dinner on this trip. I'd prefer the breakfast but we scheduled it for our off day and don't want to get up early for it. :)

OMG I Finally booked airfare!! We are going on this trip with my mother and sister and she was being a PAIN about airfare. She insisted prices would drop at the 90 day mark, so we waited. Prices did drop, for her, $20...meanwhile, our tickets (for 4 of us) went UP $70 a piece  And she wondered why I was so antsy to book!! Also, we weren't sure if we were going to come in on the 4th or the 3rd, so I have a TON of dining reservations for each scenerio AND we weren't sure if my dad was coming or not, but now that airfare is booked, we know he's not.

Anyway, long story short...I need a new ticker, I have airfare, and I will be releasing some reservations in the near future!:beach:

I meant to respond to this the other day, and your latest post about the girls being older just reminded me to look for it. I was feeling the same way about the enthusiasm. Then our cruise and just a taste of Disney (visiting DTD and POFQ) totally threw them back into the magic and excitement!! In fact Connor is still asking if we can watch all the movies before we go back! The problem is finding two hours when we are all together and can sit and watch :( I miss the easier times when they were less busy. But I am sure your girls will get all excited as the trip draws closer and once they are there, they will be so excited!

As for the heat...I got a taste of it the other day. Just keep remembering you can always slip into an air conditioned store or attraction. We were discussing the August heat and realized that on our last trip we were at US/IOA for the first two nights and it is much harder to beat the heat there - WDW with the exception of AK makes it pretty doable. You'll be fine!

Christine... Your family gives me hope. :scratchin I really hope that once we get there, they have just as much fun as we did the last time. I've resigned to the fact that maybe I just plan TOO much! LOL (is there such a thing???)

Thank you... I am sorry, but due do Disboard rules, I cannot discuss any portion of my business here... I will try to PM you, but I think you need to have 10 posts to receive PMs too?? I'll try though. :lovestruc

It IS quiet here today!!! The Disney website is down--AGAIN--at least for me!! Haven't been able to get on since before lunch.

As for the QOTD:
I used to do the whole binder thing with color coding and everything. After about the 3rd time, I threw it out. I have my ADRs on my phone, along with my Reservation number. Other than that, we wing it from there!!

Nice to see someone else on the thread today, Gina!! :goodvibes :wave2:

I know I have been off due to allergies... Lame I know... Been through much worse and that's my excuse ;)
Yeah did the binder... Attempting again but having a slightly harder time with all the wonderful new apps out there!
@joshsmom sending positive thoughts your way

Short story ;) DS17 is a kidney transplant patient (transplanted 2003) and has been in rejection since March. Been in and out of the hospital. Currently on day 8 of this hospitalization with about 5 or so more to go. Biopsy results weren't what we wanted, so we are trying a new medication for treatment of rejection. We had a rough night, but hope that today will be better!!

Thanks to everyone for prayers and happy thoughts!! :goodvibes We WILL get through this!! :grouphug:

Just adding my prayers and positive vibes to the group! I can't imagine what you have been through as a mom.

Kinda quiet in here today ::yes:: . How about a QOTD?

Do you do a "travel binder" (or equivalent) for your trip? Something in which you file away printed copies of ADR's, flight confirmations, etc.? Or do you keep all the pertinent stuff on your smartphone? Or wing it completely?

As of right now I've been using my IPhone My Disney experience App but it's super slow. Last night DH actually told me, you should make something, like a schedule I can look at with all of the info for the trip. I showed him what you guys had been posting and he's like, yeah something like that. I'm not crafty so I have to see what I can come up with.

Just a quick update on my DS17. Biopsy came back that he still has significant rejection issues. We are starting a new IV therapy tonight, utilizing the central line he already has in. We had hoped to get that thing out, doggone it!! Anyway, this therapy takes 5 days and then they should know by blood tests whether or not it is working. We KNOW this is going to work. Gotta think POSITIVE. So the earliest we will be out of the hospital is Sunday. Praying for good results and NO side affects!!

Thanks to all of you for being so supportive and for keeping me busy on here!! :surfweb: I think I would go CRAZY if I didn't have something to do with all this other stuff going on!

Praying for his speedy recovery.

Yes! We did this our last trip down! We liked both breakfast and dinner! The character interactions at both were fantastic!!!

We have! Different food, different characters - why not? ;)

Thanks for the input! I'm going to see if I can sneak the dinner in. If not, my son (he'll be 1) is bringing ring pops to propose to the step sisters in the park anyways :rotfl2: My daughter really wants to see Prince Charming, but we're already doing Akershus and CRT so I'm afraid 1900 dinner is overkill. We'll see!

QOTD??

I just wrote a nice QOTD about packing and then I realized we had already discussed it....

Which rides would you like to see re-habilitated or closed all together?

This one is easy for me... The Imagination pavilion. It was so cool when I was a kid and now it's just half of what it used to be. The ride isn't anywhere near as good and they aren't using a good portion of the building. If they could bring it back to it's former glory I would love it!:thumbsup2

While the only restaurant we have done twice in one trip was Cape May (one is character breakfast, the other a clam bake and we were staying at the BC), I think 1900 PF would be fine. Something like Chef Mickey's is too redundant, but when a restaurant offeres a very different experience for two different meals, then I think it's fine.

I'm glad you got your airfare - nothing solidifies the trip for me more than booking air! I'm sorry it's was more money, but be thankful that $70 was all it went up. I checked our air this week again (I booked in January or February) and I almost fell over when I saw the price of our flight yesterday - we paid around $250 a ticket - there are four seats left on our flight and they are now $755 round trip from JFK-MCO! That is insane! I have no idea how they could possibly charge that much except that if the plane is nearly full, I suppose they could do what they want. But if I were just planning a trip now, we would not be going at those prices. So much for hoping the fares would drop and I'd get a credit! :rotfl:

No such thing that I know of :rotfl2: You just keep telling us your plans and we'll ooh and aah with you ;)
