I'm supposed to run the Color Run 5k on Memorial Day weekend, but I am down with achilles tendonitis right now. Really hoping I can be healed up enough to run in a week!

Ouch! Hope it heals quickly for you!

I just started running, and am starting to experience some aches and pains - hopefully they're temporary cause I'd like to run the 10K at the Princess Half Marathon next February :goodvibes

Ugh - my second ticker is cut off. Does anyone know how to move it to the right, so it shows next to the first ticker? TIA!

I've started running just so I can do the Color Run and the Glow Run. I guess the way to motivate me is to treat me like a 5 year old. :rolleyes1 I hope you are able to heal quickly!

My brothers best friends family is hoping to come along this summer but cannot afford to unless they have a free dining pin. I was wondering if there are any lovely people on this board who received the pin but will not be using the pin and would be willing to send it my way? I know it's a long shot but I had to give it a try right?

Thanks everyone!! :)

I did mine side by side. I think I just made sure there were no spaces in between my first one and second one. It worked. Good luck!

Sorry, but this will not work. The pins are guest specific and non-transferable. My Mom got one and I couldn't use it, the reservation has to be booked by the person they sent the pin to.

Tell them to go on the Disney website and price out a vacation then "save" it to their account. I have heard that might trigger a pin being sent out. Also ordering a planning DVD might help. Just get them in the system and cross your fingers.

We are officially at 99 days! Doing the double digit dance! :dancer:

My 4 year old is obsessed with dinosaurs but I know Disney's Dinosaur ride isn't really preschool friendly. Today DH let her watch Jurassic Park and not surprisingly, she LOVED it. Asked to watch it again. It's funny, DH wouldn't even go on Dinosaur but he insists I should take DD...

I am really torn on whether I should encourage DD5 to ride Dinosaur or not. She does love dinosaurs, but I think it may be a little intense for her. When we went to Disneyland last year, she would want to go on the big rides that she was tall enough for, but would get scared while on them. I felt so bad, but she kept insisting she could handle the big girl rides, then would say she wanted to go home the whole time she was on the ride. But, she is talking all about how she's going to ride Splash, Space, Big Thunder, etc at WDW...even though she got scared on them at DL..:confused3 kids.

The problem is, I love Dinosaur and I'm afraid that I will convince her to do it because I love it, and traumatize the poor kid!!

My DS had always LOVED Dinosaurs, but wouldn't even TRY to go on the Dinosaur ride until he was 12 or 13!! He had watched it on Youtube and said he didn't like how loud it was and he didn't like the "jumpy parts" (he doesn't like things jumping out at him). He does not have any sensory issues and is not autistic--he just didn't like the loud noise or the anticipation that something was going to jump out. After he got over his initial fears, it became one of his favorite rides--but I think he was about 13 when he finally "liked" it!

I will probably give in and let her ride Dinosaur since I can sit next to her and cover her ears/eyes and have my arm around her if she starts to freak out. She's seen the ride on youtube and wasn't scared, but it's obviously a different experience when you're on the ride. I went to Disney when I was 5 or 6 and Space Mountain is one of the few rides I remember from that trip, ONLY because how scared I was. I had done a ton of other coasters but I didn't realize on Space that I would be sitting all by myself, unable to even hold my moms hand.

I was checking out My Disney Experience and I read that Coronado Springs has a beach camp fire! I hope they have one on our arrival night. Marshmallows and minor oral burns, I really can't wait. :cool1:

On another note...
QOTD?? How are the weight loss programs going for those of you trying to get into shape? I know someone out there has lost weight recently 'cause I have found it, it's here safe on my belly.

Thanks! It didn't put them side by side but brought the second one up enough to read it. It doesn't really matter as they're both for the same trip - I just like seeing the number of days better than the month/week/day format. But I like seeing Mickey dancing across my screen too, so I don't want to delete that one! :goodvibes

Oh my gosh, Dinosaur scares the heck out of me!! My kids are fine with it, even think it's kind of funny, but apparently I have a phobia about dinosaurs. That ride is very realistic - I swear I can even feel the dino's breath on the back of my neck! (because my head is hidden under my arms the whole ride :lmao:

If it were at all possible, I would have given you both of ours (yup, we got two) for your bro's BFF. Sadly, like other have posted, Disney says no. :sad2:

August 24-29 here! :cool1::hyper:

:welcome: to our group! We will be there the same time...we arrive on the 23rd and leave on the 31st.

I like the number of days format along with the month/weeks/days version as well.

************** is where I got my # of days ticker. Its nice and thin so it fits easily under the "pretty" one :thumbsup2 . It might be an option if you are looking for something "skinnier" that won't be cut off.

We'll be doing a camp fire at Fort Wilderness on our no-park day, and it's one of the things I'm most excited abou!

As far as the QOTD, DH keeps telling me that I look like I'm losing weight. I swore off soda, which was my main bad habit, and I've been eating healthier and less (working 60+ hours a week left no time for eating. Being a SAHM means I'm near the fridge all day :worried:), but we don't own a scale so I have absolutely no idea. I just keep telling myself that if I'm trying then it's working and if not I'll be blissfully ignorant :lmao:

I TOTALLY understand!!! I love seeing the little slider move on mine, but I also have a number counter on my phone's homescreen!!!

I will be at Disney next week! Yay! I will be working mostly but working at Disney is fun, right?!?! Our long weekend is next weekend so ill fly home on Sunday to spend the second half of the weekend with my family since they are not joining me on my business trip! It will be my first time away from my almost 3 year old!

Yay! Even though you will be working, you will still be able to disk up some of the magic! And I know it's hard to leave when they are young, but your three yo will be fine :)

I'm looking forward to Memorial Day weekend because my brother is coming to visit me in Texas for the first time ever. He lives in Dubai and works for Emirates Airlines and the last time I saw him was 2 years ago when he still lived in Italy with my dad. Exciting stuff. He's only here for two days so we are going to make the most of it.

My brother-in law and sister-in law are coming for Memorial Day weekend from Pittsburgh. They are leaving their 7 children with friends and are coming to "bed and breakfast" with us celebrating their 20th anniversary. We are a cheap B&B, LOL.
Hope you have a blast with your brother. Having family over is a great time way to spend the holiday weekend. Especially when you don't regularly see them.

I hope you both enjoy the time spent with your families!

:( on the Achilles. When my Achilles tendonitis acts up, ice, compression and strengthening stretches help. Have you tried taping it for a run? That also helps a lot.
