has anyone part of the AWESOME team August ever eaten at Victoria and Albert's? I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanna eat there and I know it will cost a small fortune but at the same time how often do you get that kind of experience? IDK i'm thinking a lot about it and wondering what to do and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE someone's opinion especially if you've eaten there cuz no one I know has lol. :mickeybar

Hi! My son and I will be staying at OKW from 8/18 to 8/23. It is a birthday trip for me! I hope to add 8/17 as well at POR when passholder room discounts come out.

Woohoo! :woohoo: What a great feeling!!! Congrats on being paid in full.....now you can just focus on planning and getting even MORE excited! :hyper:

It is true.... However it makes it very hard to wait knowing that it's all paid off and there's still 133 days left.....

That's usually the time in the pre-vacation period that I allow myself to get creative and daydream, and something "extra" gets added on to the plans :rotfl: .

Does everyone find time is passing quickly for them? Or slowly?

Painfully painfully slowly...

This trip, despite being booked closer than previous trips, seems to be much further away.

With having just gone we don't have a need to get supplies for anything. We still have a bunch of things left from the last trip. As we get closer we'll get some glow sticks and such from the dollar store to give the kids rather than blowing money on that stuff at the parks.

We will need to get new swim suits for the kids and I considered getting personalized beach towels for the kids to take to the water parks too. Still debating on what shoes to get that will be comfortable and handle the water rides well.

We got our 2013 planning DVD the other day and we put it in to watch it and the kids said "Dad, this is the same as last year!" so that was a little bit of a letdown. I hadn't watched last year's and the kids still wanted to see it so we had fun with that. The water parks look to be a lot of fun. That wave pool at TL looks to be pretty intense!

I wanted to do a countdown calendar but Home Depot doesn't have the Mickey heads anymore so I'm not sure what to do for that. Any ideas? :confused3

Hi Team August!

I have been MIA for weeks with a tremendous work project (I work at home, so even my "downtime" is work-time when I'm on deadline; ah the pros and cons of independent consultancy, but I digress....). I am still in full-on work-mode but needed to check in for a Dis Fix! :goodvibes

Today is 120 days until we leave for Disney and I have to say that time is going extremely quickly (where did March go!?) though the trip doesn't feel close yet. Under 75 days or so it will finally start to feel close for me.

I have missed so many QOTDs! But it's been fun to read everyone's answers. Hopefully I can get back to posting here on a more regular basis soon. Meanwhile, I will be lurking when I can! ;)

The Disney Store online currently has personalizable beach towels on sale for 25% off :thumbsup2.

Bring on the hot weather :beach: ..... we Canucks are currently under yet another winter storm warning  .

Someone needs to fire the groundhog. He was way off for y'all! It got so cold here I almost had to cover my new plants. :rotfl2:

I was considering the towels because if I understand correctly towels are not provided at the water parks. Rather than getting our room towels confused with anyone else's (plus those are rather small) I'd just pack along some large beach towels. Having the names on them would help distinguish them from others with the same idea. :)

A little of both! I can't wait to go to Disney, but I have two other trips before August - we will be doing the DCL Dream in May and a trip to London in July, so those are keeping patient for now!

We live about 20 min. from Punxsutawney. A few weeks ago, Phil's handler issued a personal apology for "misunderstanding" what Phil had told him. Someone in town was selling a groundhog cookbook.:rotfl2:

I woke up to my car covered in ice. Gina, where's our spring???

Since this trip is my honeymoon, it actually feels like the trip is coming up quickly cause I see it in conjunction to the wedding. It's less than 4 months away! Why does it feel like my list of to-do's isn't shrinking?

That's so exciting to be planning a wedding!!!! I know I would go back and forth between wedding planning and honeymoon planning...sometimes it's hard to balance it in your head - like you are so excited for the honeymoon, but you don't want to rush the wedding!

And while we don't have ice, our weather this morning is horrendous! Definitely not April weather!
