Thanks for the replies guys! I am sticking to the usual and suggested touring plan. Early mornings, afternoon breaks and lots of fun. :woohoo:

It's gotten pretty quiet over here! Has anyone made ADR's yet? I can't until february 20th and I'm super nervous about missing out on a BOG or Ohana ADR!

I won't make ADRs until the 19th, but I'm curious to know if anyone is having issues making dining reservations with the new website.

I make mine on the 23rd (while we're in Disney actually). I did have trouble leading up to this trip. Save your confirmation numbers because they won't show or load onto the website. So I would make a word document so you have dates and times etc. That's what I am bringing for the February trip.

I couldn't make my ADRs online this time with 180+ 10. It wouldn't let me. I used my iPad instead which still uses the old system and it let me and then all I had to do was bring up the new system and link the reservations. It linked fine and everything showed up immediately.

If you can't do that, I recommend calling or you will have to enter things day by day.

Youngest daughter looking forward to new test track and fantasyland, other daughter can't wait to see the new character spot in Epcot. Me just can wait period!! 191 days and counting

Saturday's QOTD:

Do you plan on having a rental vehicle at your disposal?

(or will you have your own vehicle as you are driving to Orlando vs. flying?)

Or are you sticking with Disney transportation (ME and buses/monorail/boats) for your vacation? :drive:

Disney transport except for a day or two of shopping

My worry was that there are five of us going so didn't think the cab would be an option. Also our two kids are still using booster seats.

They have cabs that are vans and you can take booster in them

Ugh. That's really good to know and exactly what I was concerned about. I do not have access to the old system. The only link they gave me is for making payments through the old website. Anytime I try to do anything else through the old version, it instantly forwards me to the new one. I guess I will have to be prepared to call, which I'm not thrilled about, but we'll see how it goes. Thanks for the info!

Yeah, I hope they have the new system figured out soon. It's really a pain the new website doesn't work well. They should have kept access to the old site for everyone until they worked out all the kinks.

I get to make my adr's on Friday!!!!!!!! This is what we're booking:
8/7 Turf Club or Cape May Cafe.....opinions?
8/8 Tony's (we've never been...advice?)
8/9 Coral Reef
8/10 Be Our Guest
8/11 Hoop de Doo
8/12 No TS
8/13 Mama Melrose Fantasmic
8/14 Chef Mickey Breakfast

I have to make my reserrvations by phone because it seems that people with DVC reservations are having a hard time making them online. Ironically (;)) I have an eye appt so I won't be at work that day...plenty of time to make my adrs:cool1:

Now, the real question is how many times will I change my mind?

Actually I talked to my travel agent and she said any agent can make the reservations but if they do it with out your Disney log on information you won't be able to see it.... Not sure how they screwed that one up, but that is why

I am so excited!!! My DH and I get to make our ADR's next Sat and i'm so thrilled to finally see the number of days till our trip be under the 200's lol. I am so ready for this vacation it has been a very stressful year and man oh man am I ready for some of that Disney magic. My only complaint is the new website it is just a touch confusing for me so i'll be up early on Sat to call and make our reservations with a human lol.

I just downloaded a Disney countdown widget from the android store for my phone. It's SO cool! Now I have a constant count of the days passing until my vacation.

We booked our flights and the 4 of us on SouthWest from ALB will be just over $1,500 . Oy, wish their sale included our flights.

I got the phone numbers for the 3 red telephone booths in Epcot's England. My girls and I called them and spoke to random people who answered the phones. It was fun for them and us. We enjoyed finding out the weather and people's favorite ride. Our phone was on speaker so my girls got to ask questions.
Here's the numbers if you want to call with your kids and talk to ppl in Epcot England:
407-827-9861
407-827-9862
407-827-9863

That is so cool! Why did I not know that or think of that before??? Thanks for sharing!

Hey August Planning Peeps! :wave2:

I've been swamped with work and not on here as much lately but taking a break to get back to Disney planning because we can make our ADRs next week! Yay! :cool1:

Along with many PPs, I am interested to hear how everyone is doing with their dining reservations. I hope that by going online right away (or calling if the site isn't working right) we'll have good chances. Some good friends will be there the same time we will, so we are getting together this weekend to plan out what meals we might want to do together and then I will make those reservations (as well as for my own family) since we arrive first and thus our window opens first. I am excited just for Saturday to be planning with our friends!

Here are the ADRs we're hoping for over the course of our 12-day trip:

Breakfasts:
  • Akershus
  • Tusker House
Lunches:
  • Big River Grille
  • Liberty Tree Tavern
  • Via Napoli
Dinners:
  • Rose & Crown
  • 'Ohana
  • Be Our Guest
  • Mama Melrose's

Any comments or recommendations for adjustments to this list would be welcomed! We will get the TiW card for the first time and I think it will really be worth it! We are a family of 5 & some of the above will also be with our friends as a group of 9, so it will definitely pay for itself and then be a savings. I know it basically only saves you the tax, but that's good by me! We will have it still for July 2014 trip, too. :thumbsup2

We will be in villas so we can make/pack food the rest of the time, though I'm sure we will do some counter-service and random snacks here and there, as well.

Hope everyone is doing well and having fun watching their tickers click down!!! :cheer2:

Help??? I am confused about the date I can actually start making ADR's we are going aug 16-22 thanks.

Woohoo! We just booked our flights!! :goodvibes

We haven't settled on anything but right now for dining ressies, we're thinking:

50's Prime Time
Crystal Palace
for sure, and then we're considering these others as possibilities, but probably not all of them:
Tony's
Via Napoli
Hollywood and Vine
Chef Mickey's
Ohana
Be Our Guest
1900 Park Fare
Fulton's (DH really wants to go here, but I don't...)
